No progress on the Supra in this video but its happening! My brother just purchased this 1998 40ft class A Diesel Pusher American Dream Motorhome on a Spartan Chassis with an 8.3 Cummins and a 6spd Allison! It's a pretty sweet coach, and really makes me want to finish mine so we can RV together! He plans on doing some traveling in it this Summer with his GF and will hopefully let me borrow it a few times to tow to some overnight drift events! Hopefully you guys like the tour from an automotive guys perspective!

Always excited for RV content. I think traveling the country when you're young should be a priority for everyone. It helps you appreciate what your country has to offer.
We just purchased this identical coach - only in blue - for $25k. A steal!! Ours is the same year, same layout. The only difference in ours is that we have a HUGE bathtub/shower combo. These are beautiful rigs!! Congrats and happy camping!

I hope he keeps a spare EGR valve, gaskets, crossover tube gaskets, and an intake pressure sensor handy in his travels. Common parts replaced on those 8.3's, haha.

The bus one is actually an older Fleetwood RV (think early 2000s) with a Cummins ISC 8.3 turbo diesel and a sticky wastegate.
Yeah, as soon as the Supra is done, now we know what the next project is. =D

for the TV lay it flat when down a 32-42 inch (oled/led not plasma) should fit (more likely the 32) mount it to the some wood.. - press the button folds the TV up vertical and press ithe button so it folds back flat for when driving.) You could make it all nice and into a table with a wood top/face by some Velcro to hold the wooden face into place so it does not flop off when you actuate it up..
Remove the backup TV and replace the head unit with one with a pop-out/slide out screen to get more height for the TV..
Boats and RV's are super cool and each one always seem different and unique. I would remove the rear bedroom and make a spot for Supra with some drive up ramps instead ;)

Sweet looking RV. I've always liked diesel pushers, and I'd purchase one if I had someone to share the experience with. Although 40' seems rather extreme.
Do an event towing in your brothers so that you can Get a feel for it. Let that help you decide what to do with yours. If you loved it, then keep it and clean it up nice and go all over the place wherever you want to go. If it was neither here nor there then sell yours and just get a "Toy Hauler" car trailer that has the small living quarters in front of the car space. That's my $0.02.. Congrats to your brother though for sure because that thing was plush.

I would say left that old tv with the rise mechanism like it is gives a lot of coolness and character and also good idea sell your rv and pay him half so both share the same rv

I think the problem with Rvs is people don't use them nearly enough and have high mantinece. Let's not mention how expensive they are.
At one point I actually looked into structural and maintenance stuff relating to RV,MotorHomes and you're completely right. Most of the wear and tear on them comes from NOT being used. Just like a empty house gets stagnant and grow issues, it's doubly so for RVs, motorhomes, campers.. Most people don't realize there are standard practices and storage procedures if you're going to let them sit for extended periods of time... (which most service manuals consider to be 3 months)

Hey - not sure where prev comment went, just picked up an 8.3, curious what your mog is cruising? we have a 440 in our 27 footer, i think the 8.3 is overkill but then it would be working at half load.

Do you guys over in the usa have to do a test to drive one of those rv's? In the uk we have to do a load of tests for everything lol. Just curious as i have just passed my class 1 arctic lorry test and want to do route 66 and was going to look in to renting one
Jason Taylor Yeah in UE you have to do additional tests to drive anything over 3.500kg + additional test to drive with a trailer (categories C and E). I would like to know how it works in the US
nope just your standard drivers license here for most states it varies state to state some have a special license class C or B or something like that but others just the standard class E license or whatever it is.
Basically the same stupid fucks who can't drive a sedan or SUV are able to drive an RV if they so wish as long as its not for commercial use.
