Egg Hinge problem

This is a recurring problem with my Big Green Egg. The hinge has never worked properly and it is getting dangerous.

Yes, the hinge assembly is upside down. THe flat bar on the hinge goes to the top.

Flipped mine right side up and worked perfectly. I bought mine used and the owner assembled it incorrectly. I’m now struggling to align the top and bottom.

my hinge is on correctly, bar on top and I have the same problem. Any other suggestions.

Your hinges are upside down. Remove the bans and flip the whole ban / hinge assembly upside right
