- In 2001, THQ released a PS1 adaptation of direct-to-video animated movie Scooby-Doo And The Cyber Chase. And they would have gotten away with it too if it weren't for those two meddling TripleJumpers...
Thank you to Jack Bradshaw for sending us this game!

Man, I loved this as a kid. I used to look at company's/people's bad reviews online (usually Gamespot and IGN back then) and say "Everyone's a cricket!" because as a kid I didn't know how to say the word critic.
Those darn crickets..
I hope you know, you've thoroughly destroyed my childhood here. This game was an easy 10/10 for young me
The movie was lit
I was thinking the same thing. Had this on my computer and it was one of my absolute favorites
And this is why they are here, to educate you on why you were wrong as a child :P
you know if I haven't seen this before for the 2nd damn time I enjoyed it on how funny it but yeah it still is
I was coming to the comments to say the same thing! I spent a long time trying to beat the last level and 10 year old me was so proud when I did. I actually love this game!
"I'm in the groove now."
*gets hit, falls to death*
I died 😂😂
he never specified WHICH groove.
@@RyleeStrange I see what you did there.
You guys should rank every scooby doo game
Yea
Thats billiams job
something about watching grown adults with years of video game experience struggle just as much as 10 year old me did when I first played this game brings me untold amounts of joy the likes of which I just can't put into words
Want to know some crazy SD facts? This is how much Scooby Doo we have had...

There's also a couple of lego scooby doo films as well now
Peter, sarcastically: “the Coliseum in Rome, famous for being wet”
Me, putting on thick-rimmed glasses: “um, actually, the Romans did occasionally flood the Coliseum to put on re-enactments of famous sea battles (* pretentious snort *)”
Sorry, I’ve had that Classical Civilisation A-level for over a decade now, and I’ve never had a chance to use it before today.
Finally, it has all been made worth it.
The Phantom Gamer - I know, my parents cracked open the champagne when I told them.
Kmadden2004 those Romans sure knew how to put on a show
wow, that's actually cool. the romans knew how to party.
R/iamverysmart
So I’ve just learned you can break those boxes.... that would have made the game much easier when I was a little Scooby snack myself....
Love the content lads, thank you for all your things!
"I spread my evil virus all over this game" Make sure to wash your hands then
Would have LOVED to hear their reaction to Shaggy calling himself “Super Shag” in the ice level 😜
He can call himself super shag In every level
Ah. Haven’t played the game myself 😜
@@KHFMcAwesome oh ok well I think he says it in the Egypt level and the Japan level
Oh i bet you are you dirty ****
Those flippin' sumo wrestlers almost had me in tears! XD
Frankly Peter I'm surprised you don't know who Grey DeLisle is. She's like Tara Strong and Nolan North, in that she's in everything.
Because in the meantime, every three months a person is torn to pieces by a crocodile in north Queensland
I played this game when I was a kid... and I loved it. Thank you for destoying my childhood xD
Scooby doo night of 1000 frights is a classic. No doubt.
The flail on the scythe is actually a japanese weapon called a Kusarigama haha
A very underrated weapon, imo.
Of all the things I was expecting from a video about one of my favourite games from childhood, Bob Katter was easily one of the last. Didn't realise he'd managed to escape Australia.
Scooby Doo: Night of 100 Frights on PS2 actually wasn't bad, this one though is a bit of a travesty even if it was on the previous gen
Facts there were definitely some mechanically good Scooby doo games
@@alexb5351 there was really good one on GBA, it was a side scroller with a book you could suck ghosts into
I had this game as a kid and it always made me so mad but for some reason I still played it a lot.
Shaggy walk cycle = on point
*10/10 GOTY*
I remember being a huge scooby doo fan and legit craving for this game.
I love that it's pretty much crash 3 in scooby form 😂
That is a really ugly looking game for 2001, looks like something from 1997
EDIT: You did point out that it is a pretty obvious ripoff of crash bandicoot (1996) later in your review, which I 100% agree with.
At first they were joking about it being Sekiro but the true difficulty wasn't the enemies but the platforming
The GBA port of this was one of my favourite games as a kid :(
Scatman Peter in the intro there lol
I remember I was like somewhere between 5 and seven and somehow managed to get to Rome but I got absolutely destroyed by those annoying platforms. Sadly the closest thing I got to Crash Bandicoot.
I've ordered the game from ebay and will receive it on Friday, I've played through the beginning of the game using a ps1 emulator on my tablet I got to the boss fight in level 3 the ice circle
Omg this is the first Worst Game that I actually owned 😂
"I spread my evil virus all over this game." Welcome to the virtual world of 2020.
I loved this game as a kid, 100%ed it more than once, but yeah, it was really hard because of the controls haha.
Still have fond memories of it.
The dude with the Katana drown after falling out of his boat on his way to some island to teach a 16 year old girl the way of the sword. No scandal pending, he was just very dedicated to sharp things
This was the only video my grandad use to have that wasnt a cowboy or cold war film so i would watch this almost every weekend
Love your videos. Rad job guys
Wow, if you hadn’t mentioned that the game’s jewel case cover art was accidentally being affected by your green screen, I wouldn’t have even noticed. That’s actually pretty neat now that you mention it. 😋
Love to learn that Ben is a 5FDP fan! @4:41
I genuinly loved this game as a kid. I would play with my cousin for hours
i literally never knew this game existed but boy is it wrinkling my brain. A game based off a movie that it's whole plot is being stuck in a video game.
I played this game when I was a kid. I quite enjoyed it. This is only the second WGE I’ve played. This game and Legend of Spyro Eternal Night.
Wow, the same as me.
Same here
Oh I needed my Worst Game Fix today after playing an amazing game all afternoon. Thank you :)
Aaah! Spindly Johnny! Run for your lives!
I loved this as a kid, found it far too difficult at certain points tho
I loved this movie as a kid, never played the game though. I watched the movie so much I wore the tape out.
Worst games bios
Name Ben
Height around shaggy height
Alias ben doo
Special fact would have got way with it to
Name peter
Height scrappy doo height
Alias peter doo
Special fact if it weren't for them melding worst games
You got to fix *meddling and *too.
I remember having this game and loving it but I don’t remember anything about it whatsoever
this is the first WGE i’ve ever actually played. i’m extra ready.
I was obsessed with the movie as a kid and it legit scared me lmao
This was a childhood favourite of mine, although I highly doubt it holds up today

AH! SPINDLEY JOHNNY!!!
Scooby-Doo and the Adventures of the Spindly Johnny. The lyrical version by Daddy Caddy.
Scooby Doo and the Spindly Johnny
'worst' is a bit harsh. It's very simple, but it works and is a fine kids game.
Well they said their worst games series might not necessarily all be bad games just not that popular, I personally think this game looks fun and very similar to crash 3
The person at retroGamer who rated this "one of the best Scooby games" clearly never played Night of 100 Frights for the ps2, a way better Scooby game in almost every conceivable way. Its a way more fleshed out 3d platformer with tons of interconnected areas (not one-off levels), great enemy variety, and even some ability-gating, where you require certain "inventions" i.e. items to navigate new areas. But this, this one is just bare bones. Even as a kid I was surprised at the lack of effort from the devs.
Lvl 2 is the hardest level of the whole game once you get out of Rome you havnt beaten the game but you beat the game
Whoever thinks this game is fast paced is clearly a bit out of it.
This game was easily one of my favourites as a kid
There was a Worst Games Ever prequel called Scooby Doo and the Cybadek. Scooby and Xaki had to shoot a bunch of pengwings at Benedict Cumberbatch's house.
I remember LOVING this game as a kid 😂😂
When me and my cousin were kids, we didn’t have a ps1 memory card and ended up almost beating this game in one sitting. Low and behold, power goes out. We lost all our progress.
Anyway, this game slaps.
Ooh that must have been very frustrating
that martial artist is wrong on so many levels
the katana guy you were talking about, Kairo seijuro, actually died in a canoeing accident awhile back
Gaining subs so quickly....nice one lads
Sadly the Light Rail Avenger is no longer with us..
I had this game too 😂 the jumping and camera angles were frustrating
When Bens playing i never know if the game is bad or its just him.
14:11 goof troop's final boss
"Not today. I've played Dark Souls."
Playing this again it's still worth playing through but that's it. I don't let childhood review my games lol
Not gonna lie, was not expecting Bob Katter to appear in a Triple Jump video. Nice crossover.
This was the game of my childhood.
I loved this game as a kid lol although that was probably just my love of scooby doo overtaking the reality of gameplay
New speedrun record by Captain_Beenis01 with a time of 44m 26s
Scooby Doo and the Cyber Chase has come together, beautifully.
for me, this was always a "so bad it's good" game.
There's a special place in hell for this game, i still hate years later, this must have been made by future dark souls devs as it was stupidly hard as a kid
This game brought back painful memories of those terrible PS1/N64 games with terrible gameplay, terrible graphics and terrible controls.
I feel like I missed out somehow I didn't have bad games as a kid really.
The Scooby snack sound effect sounds a lot like Bens tickle monster...
I came here for Scooby Doo, I left here learning about dudes on trains with kitanas and classic Japan.
As always, the show came together, beautifully.
Ah, those lovely late-90s 3D animations...XD Never played the game, but LOVED Scooby Doo as a kid-it was a Saturday morning rerun staple of Cartoon Network for YEARS here in the States in the 1990s and 2000s. This particular movie I only saw once or twice (one of the few Scooby-related tales without an actual “unmasking” scene, interestingly), though I saw a trailer for it dozens of times in a classic-episode compilation tape our family had. “Spookiest Tales,” if I remember right. This game looks MUCH worse than the movie, though.
That train katana guy said he was gonna gape another dude open on the train. I don't care what he does at home behind closed doors, but there are laws against lewd public behavior.
Plus, he seemed like he had too many jolt colas. Or maybe it was the adrenaline, because he seemed to think he was Bruce Willis rescuing Marcellus Wallace mid-gape. But then he said he was gonna gape the bad dude, so possibly he was going to use his other sword to do it. Maybe he thought he was in Deliverance, and he was gettin' ready to squeal some pig tyres, like fast and furious.
I'm sorry, I have ADHD, what were we talking about? I just like movies a lot, but I think train dude has seen too many. He was gonna gape the crap outta the bad guys buttocks and I don't think you should be able to say that on the news.
I LOVED this game :'(
But the eternal question still reigns; what is the best Scooby-Doo theme?
Original 1969, or "What's New, Scooby Doo?" "A Pup Named Scooby Doo" is a good contender.
@@AlmightyPolarBear You fool, it was always What's New, Scooby-Doo and we all know it.
Mystery Incorporated is a bit of a banger very twin peaks. In fact the whole series is pretty good even has a twist ending meaning its a prequel to whats new scooby doo
AGH! Right in the childhood!
Weirdly watching this has made me order this game, if I realised it was like crash bandicoot I would have definitely played it in the early 2000's! I've played through the beginning on my tablet using a ps1 emulator. Similarities to crash 3 I've noticed so far: a warp room where you select a level to play with a save and load area, every 100 scooby snacks gives you an extra life (instead of wumpa fruits in crash), scooby/shaggy has a double jump, can crawl, has a body slam, there are checkpoints, falling platforms, moving platforms, boss fights and there are even chase sections running towards the screen! My game should be delivered from ebay on Friday I must admit it's going to be nice being able to play this game with actual phyical buttons instead of frustrating touch screen controls where if your finger is slightly off the jump button INSTANT DEATH
12:02 that dude died btw
I actually WAS thinking about Metal Gear Solid before that reviewer comment, on account of how Shaggy runs like a complete wiener like Raiden.
The Beatles weren't the ones who did the Scooby theme lol fun fact
I thoroughly enjoyed this game as a child and even as an adult I can say that I enjoy this game. When it comes to the last level I don’t remember it being overly hard but I do remember having some travel as a kid but who wouldn’t on the last level of a game.
I loved this game haha. It might have been the first game I played all the way through. I remember hating sneaking past the security guards....
Don't diss Super Shag
i too have hunted for silly loops by hitting the x button on my psx emulator.
Bro how dare you put such a brilliant game on this list games... 😡😡don't take the piss
Happy day number whatever of lockdown, hope everyone is okay?
I've been really depressed about it, but my mom's been home more since her work is slow (she's an "essential worker") so I've enjoyed that.
P.S. Oh, hope you're okay too. :)
@@em_birch Its a very scary situation we are in. Glad you can spend some time with your mum. 🙂
Big box case? It's a 2 CD game?
Why the hell were you guys talking about Bob Katter?
Poor samurai has seizures. lol
My ex girlfriend loved this game but hated ocarina of time... smh..
literally said at the start the virus has spread throughout the game so why act surprised that it's bad
The cast is from the cartoons, not from the movies. I grew up on the original cartoons.
Looking forward to the remake
Worst game ever....said nobody who played the game
