Fellow plumber here. I recently bought a MIG welder and plasma cutter, going to do some work on my old truck. Good to have multiple skills. Nice work, Steve.
I didn't know you had a 50s car back there! So much potential for your channel. You could retire today renovating your house and working on the car and you'll still have a channel for another 10 years with both the same entertainment value yet diversifying interests.
Fab work ! A welder friend would have used a flap disk and removed all of the rust areas prior to cutting as he hates to weld on rust. Not a problem here...hope you have some matching paint to go over some primer. Good enough for the neighborhood !
Ampature: The size of the hole through which electrons flow in a conductor. Increasing the ampature allows the conductor to draw less ohms so more electrons can get through. Compare to Aperture in a camera lens. Increasing the aperture allows more photons through the lens. Great videos Steve!!
Great job Steve. I appreciate your videos and what I’ve learned over time. I DIY a lot of my own stuff, but recognize when to call in the pros. Never had an indoor plumbing mistake. Only time had a mistake, flooded the yard and run the well dry, three weeks after fix! I will never use a female pvc fitting on iron pipe. Split later. Glad not in the house. House is all copper, keep it the same, and I have no fear sweating copper pipe since a plumber taught me many years ago.
It's cool how all your plumbing skills transfer to your Pole barn skills, and I'm sort of guy La douche with my pole barn skills, but. hey i have a job.. the other thing going to say is, I can hang out with southerners, but somehow, I click. You and me... we're the same, you and me... LOL
if you cut half way through the material where you want the break line you can easily bend it in the vice then just weld the split and round it over with the grinder
Great video Steve! That’s a good looking 55-56 Chevy tell us about them some time. Thanks for the adventures on the tractors very interesting! Bullet Bob from W. Texas! 🤠🤠👍👍😃❤️ 😊
Steve you done a fine job there Jack of all trades master of all I know she got some antique car sitting in the back do a video on them one day let's see what kind of cars you got there take care
I have the cheapo HF wire welder, but the cheaper AC one. Mine splatters and doesn't lay nice looking beads like your DC welder. I did pick up some premium Lincoln wire which should help. I see that you use the same safety cloths that I wear. One time I set my flannel shirt on fire. I liked that shirt.

Nice weld job Steve. A nice steady bead with good penetration. Nice plasma cutter too. Gotta get me one of those.
For cleanup, the emery cloth flapper wheels for the grinder works fantastic.

THE CAB HAS A HEATER I MIGHT HAVE TO FIX THE CORE NOT SURE YET ..
The man can do it all.
Steve all that sheet metal work experience you have with HVAC comes in handy! Almost ready for the hoist and then bolt it down.

They make female pvc fittings wrapped with a SS band for situations like that...
As Andrew might say..... "Slightly unprofessional but not unacceptable"... Great job Steve !!!!!

Really impressive great skills
Amazing job
Nice job , But I wear long welding gloves to prevent ark burn and sunburn on my arms from welding .
Welding is so cool, I have a log splitter and wood stove that needs something but I dont have a welding machine
Nice work Steve
I would have sanding more of the paint off before welding, but not a bad job for a plumber..lol

All you need for Christmas is discs for the grinder! 4 1/2 inch? 🎅
Salt is good for melting snow and ice, but it is pretty rough on metal.

Where do you buy your metal? Is there a Metals Supermarket near you ?
Amazing, Steve! How do you manage to plasma cut such a straight line? They are ruler-straight.
3:33 Propane "B" tanks instead of acetylene? So much lighter tank.
I swear watching you run that grinder scares the shit out of me
That a 55 Chevy in the corner Steve?
What ever happened to all those Trackless snow units you had? Did you fix them up and sell them?
I think he fixes them up and keeps them! I caught a glimpse of one of them on his last video. Sitting right outside his garage.
you think when you paint it we will know lol
No PPE while grinding?
