- PLEASE READ: I got so much hate because I cut my nails at the end! Let me explain and I hope that it makes sense! So the majority of my nails were broken (mainly on my right hand), I fixed them for month with glue/ nail tips and I was so tired of it! I wanted to cut them so badly! I had a few nails which were still fine and I demonstrated the cutting on these since I didn't want to show the "ugly/ damaged" nails! Is it a crime to cut long nails? Those are my nails and I can decide to cut them even if they were all healthy! Please stop hating!
NOTE: I didn't forget "week 2", I deleted it on my camera by accident!
Hi my loves! Finally here is my promised nail growth video! I have filmed my nails every Friday (there were some exceptions) for 16 weeks ! I really wanted to place my nails on the same spot every time but it was very hard for different reasons! I did my best and I hope you like it!
After 14/ 15 weeks two nails started to break and at some point I just wanted to have a "fresh start"! I have filmed the part where I cut my nails! It's not that spectacular but I thought it would be fun to show you! I always cut my nails after about 16 weeks! I love the growing process since I can do nail designs on different nail length!

Haha it was more like a slap to the face. I think she just wanted to get her nails in shape. When I grow out my nails the ends feel all brittle but when I cut them, they feel healthier than before I even started growing them out. I know you can take care of long nails but sometimes it's hard when they're already very unhealthy

I wish my nails grew this easy, mine always break whenever they reach a certain length 😒😒
Then cut out on vegetables. Eat more meat especially fat ones and the ones with connective tissue. Like bacon for example or ribs.
Note whenever you have a break and what nail it’s on. Eventually you will have enough data to keep track of when to cut your nails and how long they should be

Maybe you need more omega 3 and protein in you diet use olive oil at night (in an emptied nailpolish bottle pour some olive oil and one garlic clove) they'll get thicker and harder
even though you did cut your nails in the end they still looked long because of the natural shape and length of your nailbed mine isnt that pretty i envy you for that

I keep coming back to this video every time I need some motivation to keep trying to grow my nails. They used to break a lot and now that I finally found a strengthener that actually works they are longer then they have ever been. But I still have to be consistent about my nail care everyday and for a lazy person like me thats a big deal. That's why this video was so helpful! thank you for posting it ♥♥

veronica Toccaceli The name is Vefic, but it's made by a local brand here in Brazil so I don't believe you will be able to find it anywhere else...Anyways, I stopped using it and I've been getting the same result by rubbing castor oil and cuticle wax on my nails everyday before bed. Hope this helps!

I feel horrible with me nails. Everyone is always like "I have short nails" and there's are never as short as mine. Mine are bitten to bits. In my early years I once bit off my whole thumb nail 😮😮😮
But this week I've been applaing growth solutions and stuff to quicken it and moisturise every night. I'm also taking photos everyday to see how th y improve

I get this question a lot but I really haven't found a product which could help this problem yet! My advice is always to care for them (filing etc) and to wear nail polish. Simply because my nails ONLY break when I haven't nail polish on, since the nail polish makes the nails "artificially" stronger.. These are just the things I find the best, I'm not a pro though so I don't know what you could use to make them stronger! Thanks hun! :) xx
I dunno why people are getting so upset that she cut her nails. Personally I feel that passed a certain length nails start looking nasty and trashy.
+Mo Hua So true. A lot of my nails were even broken. I made the mistake to only show the "healthy" nails, so people got very upset that I cut them. Even if they were all healthy, it shouldn't be that big of a deal if someone cut their nails haha! :D

And people wonder why girls get so upset after breaking a nail. It's takes weeks to grow them!! Beautiful nails. I like that you cut them at the end. It's very annoying to constantly repair ones nails. It's some times best to just let them regrow.

Lovely nail shape 😊 mine are a bit longer than her 16 weeks and I'm at 8 weeks (mine luckily grow quite fast ... 5.5mm a month). I often moisturize my cuticle and the nails with a jojoba/almond oil blend...but I don't fuss with them too much. Just let them grow! The white part of my nail is thick and luckily, naturally quite white.

my nail beds are really short and wide. i cant wear polish on them unless i grow my nails out but they always end up breaking so now i just use acrylic. its getting really expensive though so any tips on how to lengthen my nail beds?

Hi sweetie! I have a few advices: 1. buff them carefully to remove any pealing and to get a healthy surface 2. never peel your polish off (I don't know if you do that but my sister does and this damages the nails)! Always use nail polish remover! 3. always protect your nails by applying a base coat! I don't know what could help, if these didn't work for you:( xoxo
I personally would have just kept growing them, but that's just me. I wear 10 coats of polish & that protects my nails REALLY good, so they do not ever break.
+BabyGracie You're lucky! I cut it down to 4 to 6 coats now. Still haven't had any breakage. (I was wasting a lot of polish.)
+Tay Tay I am definitely going to try the 4-6 coats to see if that works because I have been trying for years to get my nails stronger and to grow faster with dozens of treatments and tips and nothing works. My problem is that if I let them grow more than 1/4 of an inch past my finger they curl downward to the inside in the corners and I do not like the stiletto style so I keep them squoval. But I will try your method and see how that goes at least to prevent the breakage so I can just file them and keep at 1/4" for longer. TFS
+Tay Tay Me too! When I start my weekly polish routine I cover with 5 to 7 coats (this includes ridge filler/top coat) and then refresh every day. By the end of the week I have up to 14 coats. That's the only way I can keep my nails long. My natural nails are paper thin, peel, and brittle. If you want long natural nails, it can be done.

Hello, I would like to ask a question. Because I love to grow my nails long and last time I cut them very short and after that I washed my hands and I observed that my nail bed was like throbbing and at first I didn't paid much attention to it. But then when I started cutting my nails it hurt, and I noticed that the nail bed was like stuck on the nail and I couldn't cut anymore because I think it might bleed and I tried to cut it till the part of the nail bed and tried to use a nail file to bring it down a bit but that didn't help so. And I really need your help because I can't cut my nails short anymore and if I can't, I might fail my hygiene class because of that nail :( please and thank you!

Sydney Anne I recommend using hard as nails polish. It protects your nails and helps them grow. (If you don’t really like color use clear polish.)

This made me cringe so bad when u cut them cuz I LOVE long nails and mine are always short cuz I have a bad habit of biting my nails and I don't wear nail polish because in my opinion nail polish look weird on short nails😢

its kind of preposterous how many people get up in arms about this woman cutting her nails... you have to cut your nails eventually. anyone who has had really long nails knows that they have to come off sometime or another, esp. if you want to get rid of old brittle parts

+kristy zou I didn't use any specific products on them! The only thing I did is doing my nail care routine (there's a video on that) and to wear polish all the time to prevent them from breaking! ;)
For the record, I totally get it! After having long nails for a month or two sometimes I like to cut them all back and just take a break also. I like my nails both long, and short. When long, I prefer to wear lighter polishes but when short I can have fun and wear the super dark polishes, like reds and browns. And not have to be so careful with everything I do because I'm no longer worried about breaking nails. It's very freeing. :)

I experiment with different nail lengths and shapes all the time it's so fun because nails always grow back and everytime you can shape them differently! I had natural stiletto nails for a loooong time but a few of them broke and just didn't look good with the rest of my nails so I cut them and grew them out again oval, then when that got long I reshaped them to square shape! Without removing any nail length I was able to just change the shape! It's so fun!

I said that this would make the nails "artificially stronger"! This way they won't break easily and the nails can grow longer! There is no magical product you can use to help them grow, otherwise this product would be famous and everyone would use it.

Many of my nails were broken, that's why I cut them! So, you're basically suggesting to never cut the nails after they are long?! I had them long for month!! And when did I put on fake nails? All the videos were filmed with my natural nails...
