Getaway is still a banger. The 12 string sounds great too 🎸

My swimming brain on the line
    Why's something changed and I can't decide
Stuck in my ways so I ran
Is it too late to be a man?
Your reply came, "Boy I can't, we're just so far away"
I won't lie, it's true, I forgot to be your lover
'Cause I'll never get through me and my
    My swimming brain
I'm a guy who takes a lot to be uncovered
I'm forever set to me and my
    My swimming brain
I've been away for a while
Time, never changed, still a child
I still feel that way, it's sad
You say the best you've ever had
Forty five days and I'm back
    We're just so far away
I won't lie, it's true, I forgot to be your lover
'Cause I'll never get through me and my
    My swimming brain
I'm a guy who takes a lot to be uncovered
I'm forever set to me and my

I know this comment is from 2 years ago but just incase you haven't found the chords 😂 .... imagine the Capo is the nut, it looks like he's playing ...
      C - Em - Am - Dm - F - G
I tried it out and it sounds good 👍

anyone know the chords to getaway please ?

    • @Nelson890
      @Nelson890 Před 24 dny

Intro: C / Em/ D... slightly muted (your room, I leave, wide door open for me...)
Chorus: G / Am / Em / D x2 (I'm over you, get under me. This is the last time...)
      C / D / Em / D x3 (you said, how could I. I say it's a long time coming...)
Then just follow the song and use the correct chords for the repeat of the verses and chorus.
Outro: C / G (tonight we can getaway. Tonight we can getaway... etc.) Finish the song from the G straight to an Em
Give it a go. Best to watch Tom Ogden play it as well. Try and spot the chords and get a feel for the strumming. The Acoustic version is played slower than the album version.
