    Great thing Im only planning on 1k-2k a year on my Spyder. I just saved a ton of money not having to buy these expensive parts! 😊

    The Baja Ron bar makes a huge difference in the handling, especially, if you are an aggressive driver. It also help immensely in high winds.

    Thank you Pierre, You did this upgrade on my 2013 & 2019 RT LTDs, improves the handling and plants the front end for corners.😎

    Great video, Pierre! To me, a Baja Ron Sway Bar is, dollar for dollar, the best improvement one can make to a Spyder.

    I have installed the Baja Ron swaybar and Elka Stare 2 front Shocks and each one of those inproved the handling but I was still not happy with the handling. I saw an article about laser alignment which I had done at a BRP dealer in Jacksonville and now I finally really love the handleing.

    Thank you for your Videos, I like the humor while your teaching. Outstanding lessons. I hope you will consider making a video on the front alignment. I own a 2012 RT limited with 13,000 miles and my local Can-am dealer claims they did the alignment but it doesn't feel like it. Again many thanks for the videos you guys are awesome

    Nice video on the sway bar. I have a buddy who said it was his next purchase. Thinking I may have to now consider as well for my wife and my F3s. Thanks for posting.

    It’s pronounced BaHa Ron. San Jose is pronounced San Hosay. The J sounds like an H.

    I've seen a lot of debate about whether or not the 2020 and 2021 RTL's need them. Do you think they make a lot of difference to these models?

    Surprised to see this has been around for a year, I can only imagine it slipped the net.(or more likely my knowledge of the practical side of the spyder was so weak at the time I wasn't aware what I was looking at) Pierre, I want the front end of my F3 to look the same as Lidia rode upon the ramp, blue halo skid plate with blue accents in the front grill & around the leading edge of the engine, Back to Baja Ron, If I can do the miles, it makes sense, I look forward to it..

    Would the Spyder be better in sharp turns? The "nany" tend to cick in when the turns get sharp. Thaks,

    Put a stop shield that will stop the rear tire, then rotate it out of the way if you need to.

    I purchased a 2015 Canam Spyder last fall. I didnt get too many Kms on it but it seemed to 'swim' a bit on the road. Something like my quad. I am a little disappointed. It detracts from the driving experience and it is tiring. Wish I could still handle my MC. I wonder if a sway bar would help?

    I have a 2020 RTL. I have put 30k on the clock in 2yrs here in New Zealand. The majority of that has been two up. And we are not lightweights. There is a bit of body roll especially as my wife sits higher on the back which obviously raises the c of g. From what you are saying the baja ron would tighten that up somewhat.

    @enganear Před 2 lety +1

    Regarding materials, strength and stiffness are not the same thing, you can have a very flexible material that is very strong, or a weak material that is very stiff. The modulus of elasticity for steels is practically the same for any and all alloys. It comes down to diameter for an anti-roll bar. If the bars are the same diameter, there is no difference in their torsional stiffness. I think is is pretty crappy that spacers must be used with the Baja Ron end links, bad design.

    • @fmkafer
      @fmkafer Před 2 lety

      Do you own and ride a Spyder? You must have changed out the sway bar for the BaJa Rlon bar. Did you not notice any difference in the handling of your Spyder?

    • @StephenChapmanEnganear
      @StephenChapmanEnganear Před 2 lety +2

      @@fmkafer I am a retired mechanical (automotive) engineer with 30 years of autocrossing and 3 state championships. I own and ride a 2020 F3-S. This lean and mean machine does not need additional roll stiffness when ridden solo, so no, I have not changed out the bar or endlinks. The downside to increased roll stiffness is decreased suspension compliance, not a good compromise for me. If you are riding a fully loaded RT two up, the compromise is very different and additional roll stiffness may be justified. I don't know, I have not ridden one. I think there is a massive placebo effect for anti-roll bars, so buyer beware. Be skeptical, search for the truth. If you see someone making claims like decreased nosedive after bar installation, well guess what. There is no way an anti-roll bar can influence this.

      What if you ride 2 up a lot?
      Would it be advantageous to go with a Baja, or stick to the stock sway bar?
      Thanks

    • @StephenChapmanEnganear
      @StephenChapmanEnganear Před rokem

      @@nancylowry6207 Anti-roll bars reduce chassis roll toward the outside of a curve. If this roll is a problem for you, then you may need additional roll stiffness from a larger bar. If you never even notice the roll in a turn, you don't need additional roll stiffness from a larger bar. Ultimately you are limited by the level of cornering force that lifts the inside front wheel regardless of what bar you have. When I have ridden two up on my F3-S, I haven't felt the need for anything more than stock anti-roll bar, but I hate that rear spring. 😑
