- This is a short follow-up video to DR #47. In this video, I finish servicing and testing the NAD 2200 power amplifier. This includes a nearly complete re-cap, a relay replacement (with slight modifications), idle current and DC off-set adjustment, and testing.
This was a very satisfying service. - Věda a technologie
Nick got his voice back, and I love it. How do they judge the price for those electrolytics, what is so special about them?
👍👍😎✌️🤟
Nice one Nick. Satisfying indeed!
Glad you enjoyed it
That analogue scope looks mint 👍
Agreed @KuntalGhosh. Not that I have many, but it's the first scope I bought. It'll be my #1 until it dies.
I learn so much. Thank you.
Glad to help
The idle current is around 34 ma which equates to 7.5 mv across the 0.22 ohm resistors.
Any difference in the soudn?
Where do you repair guys get the schematics from?
Google service manual.

Noob here, how do you know where to solder the other end of the jumper wires? Thx
So where your pad sits. It’s in what is called a trace. Think of it as a wire laying on the board. If you pause his video you can see what I’m saying.
So all you need to do is connect a jumper from the leg of the component with the damaged pad to another leg in that same trace. If they are in the same trace they are already connected together.
Thank you! Totally understand that now.@@calebeecher8451
Small copper tube can be used to repair chipped solder pads.
Cheers
you can also get actual vias of differing sizes, look like a fine flanged tube, you take it through the hole and then press the ends together.
Good to know thank you. There’s always something to learn.
