I am sure all this holds true for many people like me who lives in Big Cities and Parents live in small cities. And in most of cases, Son's Wife or Daughter's Husband is blamed. This thinking of feeling superior of Parents leads them to the grave where nobody wants to talk or meet with them. Many Parents only think that their Children are only interested in Money or Property but the fact is children can only take best care of their parents. I live in Australia and so do my parents and in-laws , both don’t want to downsize because of memories created in the homes. We have been telling them to get a smaller house closer to us. I’m so tired of helping them clean and maintain their huge houses. It is frustrating as they are getting older heading to 70s.
Lucky atleast both sides are with you. We have no one here they refuse to come to stay with us. I told them stay until you healthy, give flat on rent, when major problem then we can go India 🇮🇳 to get medical help. As they cannot be perm residents here.

My father got sick when I was in 7th grade. He remained sick till I completed 10th. I did as much sewa as I could. He himself dragged his body so that he had to not rely on us. Finally, we all are free in 2012. Similarly, my friend has been taking care of his sick father for the last 10 years. He is 28 now like me. He can't do anything. Can't go to meetings, can't marry, his sister's marriage is on his to-do list and everything is on his shoulders. His mother got targeted by missionaries. He came out of all. But parents don't really ...well, I say his parents are now somewhat neutral. This means starting to understand their child's pain.

Parents have made good assets nice bungalows for working almost for 30 ,35 years . How it will be if children instead of staying in crowdy cities, parents being selling all property what if children start small business earn decent amount and stay all together (in different houses)at same premises in small towns? Our parents had children for all the selfish reasons, they think we are their extensions and it’s our duty to make them feel happy.
