Keeping the game supported does not necessarely mean D-Day, Stalingrad, etc. It probably would have been more elite skins, maybe one or two new maps, a couple of new guns, and that's pretty much it.
It is what it is, we're not getting no Russians and Italians anytime soon.

Here's what we want. A game with the tone and atmosphere of bf1, the movement and Gunplay of bf5, and the setting of BF four and three
Maybe an alternative 50s/60s Battlefield where the Cold War goes hot?

The closest you will get will probably be Modern Warfare 2 2022 ground war mode when it releases.

There is no better feeling when it is cold and raining outside and you are inside your house in warm and playing videogames
If you switch fire modes with the BAR (like you would with the Drilling), it goes into a lower rate of fire mode which makes it way more controllable. It becomes way better at middle range.
I would use the 3x scope with it and bro it's probably the best gun in the game if you keep switching firing modes
Fast fire auto is still viable in close range like an smg or when using bipod
@@karateguy247 yeah I'd be doing that whenever I get onto flag points and such and it always outgunned most smgs cause of the fire rate and damage output
Did not know this so shy’d away from the small magazine. Will give this a shot! Now I think about it, the bar on other games I’ve played has had a much lower rate of fire
@@samueldixon8674 cod was one of those games that only choose one firing mode since the gun would actually be broken, the bar uses the same round that's used in m1 garands so you can only imagine what a full auto 20 round mag of m1 bullets can do

If you go to the game settings, you could disable mirrored loadouts and create unique loadouts for each faction: MP40 for German medic, Grease Gun for American medic, etc.

There’s an alternative fire mode for the BAR, hold the button for switching to semi auto, and then you get a slower full auto.
I really wish they kept this one. It was finally starting to get good. Same with BFII. And to kill them for 2042 is kinda Insulting.
True, and it will be the same with 2042. Although with 2042 they would have to change the core of the game, unlike BFV and BFII, so it's better to just go next I guess.

@@ChadSpittingTruth they had trouble at launch but like pretty much all of Dice's games they grew into their own. BfII was going really well so was its player numbers after they finally listened and added more prequel content. And BFV after its pacific update is great. You can still easily fill up servers now days even in Aus where I am.

I was on a ship my first deployment back in 2019, I was able to see IWO from off shore and it's just surreal...one of the most beautiful experiences of my life.
I got to go ashore in 2006. A bunch of folks reenlisted up on Mt. Suribachi. You’re right about how beautiful it is.
At least we got the Pacific and the various other maps they put in afterward, but it was such a missed opportunity that they didn't release the eastern front. The game plays so smoothly now, it's honestly one of the best BF titles.
Love how after all the female soldiers controversy, no single mention of Eastern front or the Soviet Union, ya know the only country that has a bunch of female only units that saw action, is in the game
Such a shame for this game, wish I could play as a female soviet pilot/tanker or sniper

I loved the requisitions in this game. The big ammo and medic crates scattered around the map were great! I loved building up our defenses around the flags/objectives.
The challenges both individual and community were fun to do.

I firmly believe that you, Jack, have the power to reignite BFV support from Dice through this channel. It's an unfinished game with immense potential. Dice has been trying too hard and forgetting what Battlefield is supposed to be.
It's not vintage, it's authentic.
Hopefully they reignite support but those odds are low.

The Browning Automatic is definitely my top 5 weapons. Huge World War historian and I got to say having ran a BAR at the range the devs did a great job of bringing the overall power and velocity of the weapon. It's great at defensive work but you can't be static the 20 round mag doesn't afford for that. Cheers!

There are many excellent improvements in BFV that I wish to see in future titles. I just hope DICE didn't mistake these improvements as flaws that caused the game to fail and then walked back on these improvements.
I always thought the building aspect in the game was unique and changed the way the battle played out and the advanced movement
Thanks for the video. Watching decent gameplay on BFV and BF1 makes me appreciate those games even more, especially after the huge misstep that was 2042.

This comment is basically the cycle that the battlefield community goes through every time the newest game doesn’t meet expectations. It happened with bf4, bf1, bfV and now bf2042. While I don’t expect to see the same revisiting trend happening to 2042, I’m sure that if there is a new game, people are going to play the older games and say how great they are despite the fact that they were shat on all the same.
Love the battlefield 5 gameplay. Looks like you got squad leader towards the end and had lots of points to call in artillery strike!
The BAR was my go to in BF1, loved it.
I wasn't a fan of machine guns in BF1 starting with high spread and becoming more accurate in sustained automatic fire. If it stuck with the good ol' formula of tap firing being more accurate than full-auto, I would've used the BAR a lot more.
Still great.. I started playing in the Pacific dropped had some absolutely memorable video game moments for sure.

Currently playing a lot of bfv lately leveling up all the guns. Been super enjoyable.
Basically why I'd really strongly like to see another World War Battlefield title, I know people go on about how tired of those periods they are but there's honestly SO MUCH unexplored territory to work on and I just think historical settings lend themselves to really distinct, rock-paper-scissors-y gameplay experiences which I kind of love. But also I totally see the appeal in a modern title and respect everyone's opinions!
You’re mad.. they’ve been done to absolute death. You obviously weren’t around 15 years ago, when all CoDs, bfs and MoH were just straight up WW2 nonsense
I want to see a game with the Medal of Honor gameplay again. That game was so good. But there’s so many unexplored wars as well. Vietnam could get a full game, desert storm, the afghan war, the war in Yemen, Iraq war, Somali war, yugoslav wars, Cambodia, Korean War, and that’s still leaving out some!
Yh I agree. But they should’ve done a lot more in bf5. In terms of what they have covered in WW2 it was only probably 20% or less. I was so happy and excited when this game came out and was manifesting a soviet front, and me using the famous T-34-85 variant Medium tank. For the research tree where u upgrade ur tanks they could’ve had the 76mm gun as ur default one and over the upgrade tree u could upgrade it to the 85mm variant which pierced from German armour especially tigers, for air the yac-3 or la5 was great fighters, while the pe-2 was a great dive bomber

The Bf5 is unfortunately a game in which it uses only 70 percent of its total potential, if we added a landing in Normandy, the Battle of Kursk, the Battle of Stalingrad,Battle of Berlin, the Battle of Moscow, the landing on Normandy and the bombing of Britain in the game this would be one of the best battlefield games

Like other weapons that you can change rate of fire from auto to burst, the BAR can change between two rates of automatic fire. The slower rate is good for medium range being more manageable recoil for better accuracy, and the higher rate (default) is better for closer range fights to get more rounds on target before they get you. It took me quite a while before I realized it had that feature lol.
I also love a good thunderstorm jack very relaxing
BFV suffered a lot from not having enough good maps I think. Plus they never made it to the battles people wanted to see from a WWII game. It at least didn’t fully throw authenticity out the window to the degree that CoD WWII and Vanguard did. Though, it didn’t really succeed in that regard either.
For the first maps I think bfv tried to release them chronologically. Rotterdam then devestation is after the bombing. Fjell and Narvik is the Norway campaign and the last stronghold of the allies before their retreat. Twisted steel is early french invasion in the north. Arras one of the only allied victories during the allied retreat in the battle for fance. Underground I would guess is meant to be Paris. Provance is later French campaign probably supposed to be Italian invasion. Panzerstorm is the invasion of Belgium. Marita is the German invasion of Greece and mercury is the German paratroop invasion of Crete, Al Sudan and Al Marj are East African campaign and hamada and aerodrome are north Africa. it's kind of chronological. Even with the newer pacific maps. Unfortunately they didn't get to keep going.
DICE said they wanted to do lesser known battles but I think that was just an excuse for them to slack off.

Imagine if air superiority was in this battlefield and not only the ones with auto lock on weapons.
Remember the air battle/dog fight in the campaign opening? So many missed opportunities
air superiority with many planes is not fun in long run as its pure chaos. much better for df are maps like pacific storm, hamada or twisted steel

And it helps people level upntheir planes where conquest/breakthrough only allows like 2 per team that people camp

Jack, you have to try the alternate fire mode with the BAR. Instead of single fire when you change fire mode it's slow automatic fire as the real gun was. Try it out, great for longer ranges!
The Turner is an absolutely AMAZING gun in that game. Sure you will have a lot of fun with it.
Imagine if BF5 and 2042 launched how they looked a year into their life cycle so many more people would appreciate them
BFV yes, 2042 probably not so much.
2042 is still mediocre and probably will stay that way. They didn't even have a DLC roadmap or anything. Should've released multiple dlc packs but instead had to make their game playable after release 🤦🏾
12 months into bfV was the second TTK change. The one that pushed the remaining playerbase away
I would love to see a full on Vietnam battlefield game.

Lefthanded jeep detail is cool and all, but countless times ive loaded sticky dynamite and jumped in the "what im used to being the drivers seat" and hit the "gas".

You should revisit the outpost game mode again, they really had something going with that. It combines conquest with rush, and it plays so nicely. It feels more tactical than regular conquest.

as you say: It always delivers. It did! I played bfv on the late. It got me off warzone. Im a bf fan since. Played Bf4-bf1 and now grinding 2042 and Im enjoying it even with its flaws. Im hooked on BF games now and that all thanks to this unfinished gem. BFV. I hope the next BF game will deliver and gives us what we really want!

The game was and is still super fun once they introduced the pacific campaign multi-player it was so much fun when it first came out.

Dice took out so many gameplay mechanics that BF5 have that are awesome. I went back few days ago wanted to play a WW2 setting. I was having so much fun with BF5. Dice took steps back big time in its current game.
