I disagree... however, while I find phase 1 very appealing, I see the triangular headlights of the phase 2 as a misfit to the rest of the design. But that's just my personal opinion, to each their own.
I had been driving a classic Mini (and nothing else) for more than 30 years, when I suddenly fell in love with the RS 172 phase one.
