Greetings Chris, I just found your channel. You are well spoken and the camera likes you. I'm just a homeowner, but I like good equipment. I am looking to buy a string trimmer. I like the Echo products they start easy for me. Do you have a recommendation for me? How necessary is the extra torque of the 2:1 head? Thank you. R, Steve
@@GRASSGRINDTV Hi Chris, I bought on yesterday. I notice that there is much less vibration than the SRM-280 I have been using. I believe it's because the driveshaft is solid steel instead of the flexible drive cable used on other models. It came with Echo's Black Diamond string. It works ok and doesn't deem to break off as fast as the CrossFire, but I might be wrong about that. I bought the expensive trimmer because it has the chrome plated piston and cylinder. It also has two compression rings instead of one. Here on the left coast, small gas engines have been banned. We won't be able to buy them here anymore. So, I bought a real good one hoping that it lasts many years. What fuel do you use in your 2 stroke engines? I'm afraid to use pump gas as it has ethanol; in it which kills carburetors.
