La historia cuenta que, después de los acontecimientos del 11-S mientras Springsteen estaba en la playa de Asbury Park (ciudad cercana a Nueva York) una persona le gritó desde un coche “Te necesitamos ahora”.
La respuesta de Bruce fue esta canción que cuenta la historia de un bombero de la ciudad de Nueva York trabajando en las torres gemelas en los instantes posteriores al choque de los aviones y justo antes de que se produzca en derrumbe de las mismas. I remember Sting from Newcastle on Tyne in the 70s. Everyone then said this guy is special. Look how far he has risen. Incredible talent. He thoroughly deserves his success and it is lovely to see what a gracious person he is in the midst of his fame and celebrity.

My man- Sting was the biggest rock star of 1980s with The Police- he was at the top of the pyramid. So, don’t underestimate Sting. Sting’s music is more international and complex.

@@barmalgran666 Yep. There are reasons why all the Jazz stars liked to play with thim. I am a Jazz lover and singer and I like many of Sting's tunes 😊. He reinvented and thus renewed himself again and again.
It says a lot about sting that he goes out for a tribute like this and brings his bass. Big responsibility playing the bass at something like this with such a pro band. He takes it in his stride. A true pro musician

Well, A) He always brings his bass. Every performer at that level only uses their own equipment and B) He's probably been playing bass for longer than most of his backing band has been alive.
