Sorry to be off topic but I need help. I picked up the hobby again after a 30++ year break but now I'm on the verge of giving up. Purely because I'm so bad. My models look very poor and my painting/masking looks like an 8 year old did it. Now I don't have stupid hopes like expecting to make great models. I'd be more than happy with "acceptable" but my stuff looks so bad and I'm now thinking I'm too old for this and should just give it up. Do you have any advice that might help?
Improve 1 thing per model…Look back at my first few models on here, they were not that good. Don’t expect to get huge improvements as that won’t happen, it takes time and practice. I was the same when I got back into modelling. Do easy kits, not ones too technical, don’t do PE until you start to feel comfortable, join a Model Club and a Face-2-Face from M4H, if there’s one near you. Above all else enjoy it and don’t worry about how it looks. If you’re unsure, CZcams is your friend. Research what your trying to achieve 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 It will come, but it’s a slow burner, trust me 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
