    Fantastic tour through this light. Especially thank you for the fan noise test - very clear demonstration of what we can expect. Have to say, on top of your excellent presentation style, one thing which really shows through in your videos is the transparency with which you approach a product.
    Pretty sure I'm picking up the 500 to add to my 100 and 20 as a small but capable lighting setup. I've been wanting a higher power light and this looks like the one.
    Quietly hoping that at some point Zhiyun make a 200W light mat!!!

    This is the most complete, comprehensive and knowledgeable video I’ve seen so far on CZcams with these lights. And no nonsense BS, straight to the point concentrating on just pure INFO! It’s so much in detail. I don’t know how you do that but this nearly 40 minute video felt like 15! INSTANTLY SUBBED! Just wow!

    I get that over time the lights will shift to green but it would have been perfect with added tint control to help match with other lights. Great lights nonetheless.

    Thanks for this great video! I would love a comparison with the GVM Pro 500 and the Nanlite 500. Also do you think the extra money is really well spent between a 300 and 500W? Maybe some day you could do a video what to buy if you have no lights but around 1k to spend!

    • @ArtVideoProductions
      @ArtVideoProductions  Pƙed 18 dny

      The 500 watt would be the best. And I mentioned it in the video. If your 1K budget allows, make sure the 500 watt is in it.
      You’ll never know when you need that extra f stop. Even if I am doing an interview in a small room, I STILL take 2,000 watts of COB LEDs with me.
      Guess that? Client decided last minute on site that they want the subject right in front of a 12’ wide bright window. And I have to expose the outside to match the inside. If I didn’t have that much power with me that day, I wouldn’t have done it. Always buy more power than you think you need.
      And a Softbox or a diffuser frame in front of a light, you lose 70% of its brightness. Example: A 500 watt light diffused will look like a 150 bare bulb.

    Amazing review, as always on your channel

    How’s the lumen on this B500 compared to the G300 on max mode?

      @ArtVideoProductions  Pƙed 20 dny +1

      Thanks Francis. And that’s a good question 👍
      I didn’t think of that, but you can go to the specs and see the lumens chart on each light. But the next time I have a chance to grab both lights I’ll let you know. Right now time is very limited as May and June is high demand with clients.
      Thanks again for watching.

    Were you able to also test the B200? I saw one review where the fans were very loud at 100% but maybe it was a unit with a preproduction louder fan installed. Deciding between the B100 and B200. If the B200 is loud, I will opt for the B100.

    • @ArtVideoProductions
      @ArtVideoProductions  Pƙed 9 dny +1

      I don’t know how the B200 can be louder than the bigger ones I’ve shown. Let’s say even If you get a 500, at a rate of a 200 watt setting, you’ve heard in my demo that’s not an issue at all. I haven’t seen that review but it’s clear something isn’t right. Even if you just need 100 or 200 watts, get the 500, or at least the 300. Sooner or later you’ll need that power.

      @@ArtVideoProductions matt yamamoto @10:47. Also unfortunately haven’t seen any reviews sharing the noise of the B200 run at 100%. While the B500 may be quiet at a 200W setting, it’s also a larger body and I assume with larger fans. Thinking maybe the B200 gets louder quicker due to the smaller body and fans. Also saw another review of the B500 and the fans there were a lot louder. Makes me wonder if the same fans are being used for all production models. The reviews are not consistent..

      @@dwmspace the 300 and 500 are decently quiet even at 60%. send me the link of that review here. I want to see and get back to you on that.

    • @dwmspace
      @dwmspace Pƙed 9 dny

      Your review does not make me worry about the fan noise but when I see some other reviews it makes me think they produce units with different fans. Some louder, some quieter.
