This is soooo helpful. Thank you for sharing. We were just thinking about doing that for every contact without having to use a group text. Group text becomes a mess and everyone wants to exit out of it and then people start having other conversations and it becomes a mess.
I’m trying this. I run a business basically from my iPhone with a little time spent on my Mac. But in all honesty if can be ran 100% from my iPhone so I’d love to see what else you use shortcuts for. I’ve never known what it was for before. Thanks for the tip and I look forward to seeing more.

hey this worked really well except that when I did it in batches, everyone in one batch h would get a copy of the message sent to everyone else in that same batch!! Any thoughts. Really loved the concept though

Is there a way to filter the contact phone numbers, so that the text only gets sent to people who have a “mobile” or “iPhone” label to their numbers?
Hi, great video. Would the steps shown in the video have to be done each time we want to send out a mass text to the members of our church? Or is it a one time set up?
One time setup. Only thing you would need to do is change the message if you wanted it to be something different.
Also. There’s a newer video on the channel with steps that work with the latest version of iOS.

what is the maximum recipients? Ive selected 50++ recipients but it only goes for 7 in one run. Is there anything i could adjust it?

the (repeat item) function is not available nor can i place it in the "text" field. all names are joined together when i try to send multiple messages, can you make an updated video?

It keeps saying I can’t share multiple contacts but I can change it in Settings. How do I do that?
I have the XR and when I open Shortcuts it lets me add a shortcut but it won’t let me add contacts

Corey can you make this video again for today's version? I tried following along but several things are different. I am not sure why you have to have contacts at the top, if then you also have to choose the recipient in the text message. I want to be able to send a mass text message /the same message to 40-50 people, but individually so it's not in a group text. (which is what you are doing)

trying to use 30 launcher but cannot use it. It keeps telling me to go to ACCESSIBILITY , scroll down and scroll down to 3D touch. I have an iphone 11 and there is not a 3d touch in accessibility
How can this be done with phone numbers that are not in contacts?

Nice! Solve this one. How do you send individual messages to a list of random phone numbers stacked from a text file or say copied from a long column in an excel spreadsheet cut and pasted through say iNotes. These phone numbers are not in your 'Contacts' and you don't want to add them to your contacts

Yes you can mass text iPhones and androids. Also. They do have to be in your address book. I can show you some different ways to text phone numbers not in your address book. New method compatible with iOS 14 coming hopefully this week.
Awesome! I text previous customers for my business, but if I can avoid paying for a service to send out “mass texts” (from my number) and NOT have to individually type in the number each time, that would be epic!

That shouldn’t be the case. It should be sending individual texts.
@@CJ3KTech so when you do it this way only the people see that they were the ones it was sent to not everybody that you sent it to? I'm always finding interesting videos that I want to share with a ton of people.
Correct. It’s not sending one text with 50 people on the recipients list. It’s sending 50 unique texts to each individual person.

Do you know if apple removed the avility to pass the phone number variable into the message command. My iPad and phone wont give me that option. It keeps asking me to type in the recipient name for each message.
I figured it out. You have to hold and press on "RECIPIENT" then you can pass a variable. The thing I noticed was that if you have more than one number in that contact, then it will add both phone numbers. For example, if you have Mobile and Office Phone, it will add both. Any suggestions on how to just add the mobile number and not both?
I cant get the scripting in Recipients to work now. To pull each contact and send separate messages. Did Apple disable that?
