I always purchase more, hang-on-the-back filters when mine wear out. I’m a big fan of hiding all the equipment for a natural look and these make it easy. Sorry for late reply, this filter will work fine in provided dimensions. However, HOBs will work fine in aquarium with small fish which create less waste. Not good for goldfish/cichlids or similar. Stay tuned.

Hello. I prefer hang on back (HOB) over sponge filter. However both have their pros and cons. Sponge take space in the aquarium and doesn't look good in the aquarium on the other side as HOB is outside of the aquarium hence doesn't take space, waterfall effect does look nice.

I have a unusual shape as the side frames are diaogonal and the back glass of Aquarium is having a 10 cm difference of height from the front glass. 45cm L * 30cm W * 31cm Height is the capacity of Aquarium, so this filter wokrs fine?
Thank you for your visit @Makroni. Most people don't know it even if they have HOB filters. Water level of the tank should above the motor unit of the filter. If the water level is below then the motor of filter. Filter will not suck the water itself and you have to fill the HOB filter every time with water if there is a powercut.

@Sanjay Thank you for your visit.. This filter is not capable of collecting debris from gravels.. You will required to vacuum the gravels. However this filter is only capable of creating surface agitation and little filtration in small planted tanks.

I this Sobo is best, 2nd Venue, kintons is good but I personally don't prefer. Last one of my kintons filter is creating noise within one month.
