    Well Adam, I knew this video was coming! I think the Piledriver has redeemed itself! That's more power than I thought an air rifle could do! Looks like you are a good shot unless it was clever video editing! 🤣I offer 3 cents for the cast iron pan. If you sign it, a nickel! CASH! I'd give you a thousand likes if I could but you will have to settle for one, sorry. 😁

      Air rifles are pretty powerful now. Down in Florida I used my airforce Texan .457 for large feral hogs. Adam I have custom cast 220 gr .457 I make if you want to try some. Let me know and I can get them to you soon

    It sounds like your adapter isn't concentric to the barrel--that is probably what was responsible for the baffle strikes. I have had that issue trying to use an adapter for my suppressor that wasn't made by the suppressor maker. Anyone that is custom threading a barrel for a suppressor has to make sure that their threads are concentric to the barrel as well.

    • @alaskacutthecord769
      @alaskacutthecord769  Před 2 lety +1

      I've had that same thought and the only way for me to thread the barrel is in a lathe which I just might have access one soon. I've seen someone try to thread a barrel with a die before and completely ruined it. No way to keep it exactly straight.

      @@alaskacutthecord769 There is definitely an art to it! I took several barrels to a small business then later on, took another to him that he told me he would do that day for me....he wouldn't even let me watch him as he said he had some proprietary ways that he couldn't let me see. Don't know if that was the truth or not but I haven't had any problems with the barrels he threaded for me.

    • @GovtWatchdog
      @GovtWatchdog Před 10 měsíci +1

      That’s the issue with high power guns like these. They use sooo much air so they require frequent topping off, and so you can really only shoot it a few times between fill ups. With a 300 bar fill you’re looking at direct air compressor fills or just partial fills with a tank. Kind of annoying and time consuming but that’s the price you pay for sooo much power. If I’m not mistaken this gun has a removable bottle so at least you don’t have to have the entire beastly gun up on your car engine while filling from a compressor at the range.

    Can we shoot with a tethered, large air bottle at 4200psi ? I am guessing this is not recommended because this air gun does not have an air pressure regulator, right ?

    • @alaskacutthecord769
      @alaskacutthecord769  Před 10 měsíci

      Correct, if this were like the FX that has 3 regulators you'd have no problem.

      @alaskacutthecord769  Před 10 měsíci +1

      My apologies as I am incorrect. Maximum pressure of the Hatsan is 300 bar or 4350 psi. However without a regulator it's acting like a big CO2 rifle with the muzzle velocity dropping with every shot. If it could be regulated at 3000 psi (just an example) you would have several consistant shots before experiencing a noticable drop.

    • @alaskacutthecord769

      It probably would if it worked consistently. I can't seem to make that happen. You should watch the FX mark 3 video. That is a gun that absolutely would do just that. Also, it's legal to hunt with in many places.

      @@alaskacutthecord769 I live in N.C where there are no caliber restrictions or regulations so what rifle would you recommend that's under $1000 ,any caliber that can accurately shoot a deer in the head at 150yds and have enough fpe to penetrate a deer skull at 150yds and fps to reach said deer before it ducks my slug ???

    • @alaskacutthecord769
      @alaskacutthecord769  Před rokem

      @@cray-z7404 I spend as little as possible on a lot of things in my life but guns and optics aren't two things that I would do that on. Two things make this a difficult question. The range and the price. As far as caliber at that slower fps I wouldn't go smaller that .357 or 9mm. I've shot lots of deer with 7mm but that round is really moving. Smaller than that you really don't have the knock down power at under 950 fps with such a light bullet. If I were you I'd save my money and really get your money's worth for it. I know that AEA and Texas Airguns make some really nice tools as well as FX when it comes to accuracy at that range. But you need a slug with some weight behind it to accomplish your goals. My FX with optics is almost three times what you're looking to spend and really good optics will cost almost as much as a gun. A gun is only as good as the optics on it. Let me know what you decide to do. One last note. You cannot practice enough for that once in a lifetime shot. Ive never been to NC. How's the hunting there?

    Sorry ask: I have just got the same gun, nothing about putting the O rings on the filler connector to the rifle, had to work out for myself. . Also looks like I have about an 8mm fast connecor to the hose from the compressor, female 8mm. and about 9.5mil male hreaded connector at he back end of the rifle connector. somehow I now have to find a male to female connector, which we never got. . what did you use? Firstly get rid of that ammo, and get NSA ammo, but before ordering mic the inside of your barrel and get the right size ammo.that ammo your using is garbage 🗑️. At least try what I said and watch the difference.
