- We explore Old Buzzards Roost Trail, Buzzards Roost Overlook, and share the Making of an Epic Campfire meal to celebrate the end of an amazing day spent in the beautiful forests of North Carolina.
Special thank you to Carl Stoltz for the footage he contributed to this video.
What a scenic trail with a few "fun" sections. I could fall asleep easy camped next to the sound of that flowing river.
Great video!
I've camped next to it last trip
@@Gourmetoverland It's on my bucket list to camp next to a river or creek. We don't have those types of spots here in Florida. Well we do....but there are most likely gators in them.
We have plenty of them in North Georgia. Not hard to find and really scenic.
@@Gourmetoverland We are planning a trip hopefully next year to North Georgia or in the Carolinas. Friends and others here on YT and from some research say the same thing about plenty of river /creek camping spots.
You can really hit north ga and north Carolina in the same trip because sections of the two states are very close to each other.
I'll get the hurricane Creek video from that same weekend out in a week or so. Thank you for your support.
Asheville NC
Be careful straddling that mud hole. Vehicles have flopped on their side there before. The bottom is hard so you won't sink any further in it. I love that trail and Hurricane Creek. Great video.
On my previous trip to that trail I went straight down the middle and bottomed out a bit on the driver's side as the rut is a bit deeper on the driver's side. Just starting to work on the hurricane creek video from the same weekend.
I love NC it is such a beautiful state
Couldn't agree more
Looked like some awesome trails! We're subscribing
Thanks for the sub!
Nice trail. Live the water crossing and little grilling by the river. 😊
@@RDOverland check out the hurricane creek video I just published....it's has many crossings. These videos are from the same weekend it took me a while to get the second video out.
@@Gourmetoverland sounds good. I’ll take a peak. 👀
Where’s the entrance to this trail? It looks good and wide for a full size truck and still challenging. I’d love to go
It's just off 60 in a tight corner
What kind of tire pressure were you guys running
I was running 17-19 psi using staun tire deflators
Stock 4Runner TRD do those trails ok? Looks like it on camera
Yes you should be fine. The trails change a lot based on the amount of rain and amount of traffic. This trip we didn't use any recovery gear but the previous trip to these same trails we used every piece of recovery gear we had. I'd go with a buddy truck and bring some recovery gear just to have your bases covered.
@@Gourmetoverland thank you!
