      @@composimple364 no they really can’t other than the Chinese orders still sitting there at Boeing field. There are not any sitting there on the used market. Carriers can’t get them fast enough.

      Airbus won't deal with him anymore and no availability anyway. It would be FULL list if they did so that's not happening.

      Ryanair subsidiary Lauda has the A320 operating license. Bolstering the Lauda fleet with formerly grounded PW equipped A320NEO’s isn’t that inconceivable. However, extremely unlikely.

      @@joshporter5422 Not really applicable. Lauda's 320s are quite old and only 28 of them. There are no spare 320NEOs sitting around, especially PW ones that have tones grounded due to engine uses. Not even worth thinking about. He will just have to wait on Boeing kicking and screaming.

    If RyanAir walks away from deliveries, another ULCC will gobble them up - packing in more and more passengers to squeeze every dollar, pound, or drachma out of them is the newest thing going in the air.

    I can understand how O'Leary is upset. If you can't make X number of planes don't commit to delivering them. Yes, I know nobody knew they would have these problems but maybe they shouldn't have streched things so thin.

    They should ,i usally fly ryanair because its cheaper but honestly i now have serious concerns around safety so im now going to consider other carriers that dont fly boeing.

    Airbus has also production/delivery problems on their A220/320 who are in high demand.

      Then you also need mechanics who are familiar with Airbus, which Ryanair doesn't have. Extra training costs money, which Ryanair doesn't want to pay.

    Ryanair needs more planes, it only flies Boeing 737's, it needs them cos its the only game in his town. The only question is can he get Boeing to discount more to pay for the staff he should be hiring and the passengers he should be carrying.

      ​@@davoman1231 it is, but compared to Ryanair and its other subsidiaries, their Airbus crew count nothing compared to their Boeing crew, which means they will have to burn extra money to get the others rated on Airbus too. That's exactly what O'leary hate so much: Burning money.

      The MAX 9 is currently flying. MAX 7 and 10 are expected sometime next year (at least, in theory).

    Ryanair boss Michael O'Leary isn't really known for being particularly understanding and Boeing has been forced to slow down its operations by order of the FAA in the United States.
    Although it would be just like O'Leary to throw his toys out of the pram - very much like Donald Trump.
    Question is though, would he then go to Embraer in Brazil or to Airbus in South West France?
