One of the most underrated rappers out
I’m good now and life isn’t easy but this album gave me some knowledge when I was burning alive as a teen. Thank you Sage
I don't understand how Francis isn't more popular. He has an incredibly accessible sound, he raps extremely clearly, and his music is straddling even more genres than ever.
Maybe it's the throwing of stale bread and rotten veggies. Awesome show!
Thanks you Sage. RIP Mark. Favorite from this album.
who's rediscovering this gem again in 2020 like I am??
2022 here 🎉😊❤

2024!
Sage's music is always so powerful.
sage is my favorite rapper now and forever
Still a really dope song coming back to it! Sage's flow and genre-bending composition together are just really nice man
i love his music, it has a meaning and is good to listen to, but thats my opinion
this one deserves more views - both in quality of video ans song.
The key to a good relationship is looking through windows not one sided mirrors.
Grew up a bus ride from his hometown Providence and used to sneak into his local shows when he was still getting started right after 'Tired of Waiting Tables' dropped. I always referred to him as the rapper Eminem wishes he was. The mans live shows are epic, especially the smaller venues.
I found Francis while searching for a different style of rap, I have been hooked ever since.
RIP Linkous.
this man is the best thing to listen to will snow boarding skating all of that sort of sports.
the man is a god.
@hojima He is a true artist and not a record created money maker like other untalented hip-hop artist.
Sage forever!
Sage 4 King
this is my shizzah!!
allenpalin your videos are the shit my man
All good things you said.Good to know deep thinking people.Peace.
heard about sage on deathsquad. man am i glad i did. cool artist
he was in a bad religion song. that's how I heard of him
If only I never met you, you'd still be my favorite lol
thank you Sage Francis for hte music, and Jim Foltice, thanks for the artistic stop-motion. Most enjoyed!
Agreed all around, I merely misinterpreted I suppose. When you look in the mirror and realize that is another person - wisdom for sure. I for one dig what you have said here. I manage life by a value system. If honesty is one of those, then you will do damn well not to break it - dishonest to yourself is worse than someone being dishonest to you.
Ahhhhh this song! It actually makes sense with the video too!
Please stop hoping that he becomes more popular. He is reserved for the few who get enlightened when they hear him rhyme.
he is a true artist!!
We all make choices based on what our limited knowledge, experiences and fear allow us to expose and understand. I am a different person than I was 15 years ago and did a 360 from being naive as all get out to almost 33 and still struggle with trust. We can only fail and wallow in self-pity or try again, hopefully with more wisdom.
I was not being altruistic, just poetic. I thought it sounded clever. Thank you for the pleasant discourse all the same!
sooooooo goooooood!!!!
Still here again
U still here?
"The Best of Times" on the sign.
Word.
I miss ya dude... hella congratulations to your mini sage... but remember it’s your mini sage hahahaahah 🙊🙉🙈

Awesome song!!! Sad but meaningful music video. Repin PKA!!!!
I love this.
dood he is beast.
HELL YES!!!
song's pretty damn sick.
I missed when you posted this in Reddit. Sorry man, this awesome.
How did I end up here?
Michael Franti -> Dub FX -> Scroobius Pip -> Sage Francis
enough youtube for today....
Still here
No, you don't. Because you put a piece of your soul in what you belived. It's just our mistakes, which led us to the good lessons.
incredible
I hate it when people say love the life you live...
great song
@hojima the first sign of truely liking a song more than everyone else ( from your own manifested perception (along the way of liking it)) is being in denial that no else likes it. Friend, it's a better use of time focusing on your own energy of love toward this long, instead of the infinity of idiots that will never get it.
I've been that robot since the 7th grade. God I'm pathetic
I have too
@hojima coz people who like rap normally look for the generic similar sound that is over used where as some of us recognise it as poetry of the future with more going on due to music. Mike Shinoda has came out with my favourite raps so far. sage francis makes me want to stress that 'so far'
First time i heard sage francis, first time i loved sage francis
sage
@hojima my guess would be the masses see his appearance and automatically switch off and don't listen being in the hip hop genre and all. I saw him in Melbourne 5 years ago. I only went from word of mouth and fuck, I was blown away by his stage presence!
I worked in a kitchen with the guy who made this video. Just a genuinely funny great dude. Extremely talented obviously!
Also thanks to Sage Francis for making sick songs!
the end is the best, when the metal man is rebilding.
great stuff, aint gonna lie only found sage after listening to scroobius pip, but im glad i did very entertaining.
Wings
wings!!!
This song does not get enough plays. Fucking beautiful. Sage hit me up sometime when you're feeling down and Ill tell you a joke. Later brother.
this shit is bad ass im a big fan
Sage Francis - "Love The Lie"
Pka 2013 brought me here wtf...
wait how
@@julieftherulies he was on one of the episodes
people like all the drama thats y
Im that poor robot, right now
the videography and graphics are interesting
Ya that's a weird ending. Damn good video either way. And yes, like everyone is saying.
WE are that Robot.
@Paul98866 I didn't, but those are all fantastic artists :)
@hojima i think its because he likes it that way...
@hojima the first sign of truely liking a song more than everyone else ( from your own manifested perception (along the way of liking it)) is being in denial that no else likes it. Friend, it's a better use of time focusing on your own energy of love toward this long, instead of the infinity of idiots that will never get it. my downthumbs goes against all those who thumbs upped it, feedings into their own ignorance.
Damn... Sage is still o top of his shit. The background... umm.... music here makes me crnige though
did what i could with the wood and the flammables
stood with the good little animals
ran with the bulls
@beanodonnell Thank you. That's all call tell..
Can’t believe it’s been this long... got my stimulus check date and buying some sage shit... fuck dude... I pretty much stripped and got married to this song... I definitely owe you hella cash 🐒 same to Mac and buck tho sooo... but still your hustlin your shit...
@ericwhithr2007 Sorry for being a bit explosive, I just see so many bands who have fans that don't want more people to hear their music so the band doesn't "sell out"
Pee-Kay-Aye!
@kappy0405 I wouldnt call them bitter black men... its the ramblings of cynical lyric writers that know what the public wants to hear.
@erratictiger I learned about him through word of mouth, never seen him live. on a side note, I've always found it amusing how him and bdolan look like brothers. (shame, sage used to be really good looking and less bearish in the early 2000's)
What are you, ninth grade?
6 years tops. You've got a lot of time to go anywhere you want.
@hojima I know what you mean, but I think that people make way too big a deal about popularity. I would rather he stay under the radar, I've seen way too many artists, especially rap, get popular and then change for the worse.
i swear i've seen this video somewhere else when i was a kid
WOR.
@M3stunt777 that wasn't my interpretation, that is what happened.
@hojima It's because he speaks the truth, whereas the only popular thing in mainstream rap is drugs, killing, and fucking...
jesus christ. who the fuck was the one who disliked this? REALLY MAN?
Little robot bro is 30 years before Flogging Molly float music video
@hojima all about promotion, and big labels. forget the uncomfortable truths he speaks of. most people do not like the truth. ignorance is bliss. love the lie....
I feel really dumb for asking this but what does PKA have to do with this?
@hojima you know why.. its because he doesnt rap about money, sex and bitches. because in todays world you must rap about those things to be considered good
@AcephalousPoultry
It's ur opinion on how u interpret the vid. But I don't see the female robot as better then him. I see it as she takes him forgranted, he gives her everything he has 2 make her happy cause he loves her. Even his literal heart, but in the end she used & screwed him over by going with some1 else. Like ppl saying they will leave some1 4 the "next best thing" that doesn't necessarily mean who they moved on 2 is better. Like believing the grass is always greener on the other side.
@kyoukilis20 nonetheless, skill should = fame, ideally. its odd to keep the same old stereotypical sound on top of mainstream, when really it shouldve always been the artists like him, who never bullshit.
This robot is me to a T. I hope i can escape this image one day. Too much ;ove to drown in sorrow
If you LOVE Sage Francis, you NEED to check Antix "question everything" like Sage, Antix's music also has extreme meaning.
And how this information connect with my reply?
So what it is supposed to mean?
hahaha! that was a pretty clever video, never expected the girl he created that was better than him to create a better man for herself..
@thestoryiheard damn u i shouldnt of read ur comment before watching the video as soon as it became too much of art imitating life i was almost moved to tears
Radio-friendly Francis??
wings sent me
@chubbywater5 Touche...
@dboggs123 Tool "sober"?
Guys, take a close look to this robot...
Haven't you seen it before?
I have....
I was that robot...
And some of you too...
@kyoukilis20 I would rather that he get some fucking money for his hard work. I have enough faith in him that he wouldnt change for the worse. Look at bands like tool. They are huge, but through their whole career they have never compromised in terms of their vision.
really fucking miss mark linkous, one of my favourite song writers ever.
