Seriously, what an aptly self-dubbed rapper. He's the king really. No one has anything on his combination of great vocab, material, speed, and delivery. Perhaps Slug, or Immortal Technique, or maybe a case for Busdriver, but i still think he takes the cake. I agree, it's pathetic the rap industry or populace isn't aware of his existence, because he's one of the best of all time.

This is the first time I've seen Sage film clip, been listening to his art for near 6 years, what a fantastic geezer! And Buck 65 is in the clip! My two favourite artists. Hooray! So grateful for this honest, integral and beautiful poetry that gets shared. Goddess Bless.

The thing a like about this guy is he doesn't tell how many cars his got or what his drinking in the clubs. Or how much green his got so refreshing real hip hop.

Average rapper doesn't even know what ménage à trois is, this song from the first second to final line, "I want your suicide to be a book of mine that I never finish" is a perfect example why I consider Sage as an alternative poet and deserves more attention.

I'm not a hipster, thank you, I'd like it if they played this guy over the radio. I'm a little bit tired of this assumption that everything popular is mainstream or bad. It's unfortunate that all my favorite music happens to be underground, but I wouldn't like it any less if they played Veil of Maya over the air, or this guy, or Immortal Technique.

@TheTertullian don't think you get what I'm getting at with that expression: I mean that Sage Francis has great messages ("preaching") in his lyrics, from which listeners could learn a lot. I know a lot of people who, if they would listen to Sage, really listen, they could improve their lives. But, the people who now take the time to actually listen to Sage, don't need this like others do, 'cause they already know 'the good things' ("converted") hence listen to Sage, Pip & Saul.
