They probably won't unless they're seeing a dip in their sales. Lots of people still buy Bose just because the brand has a lot of weight behind it. Maybe that'll change in the future, who knows.
@@MarkSpurrell Don't you think that with the history sony has had back in the day and the elegance they carry with it....if they just spent more on marketing like bose does, they can get back to the top and actually beat bose and other tech companies in Brand value? For someone that feels the pleather pads is a bit stuffy, I recommend looking for Dekoni replacement earpads for them, they aren't from pleather, and are actually an upgrade in sound isolation.
My only complaint with them is that they don’t quite go as loud as I would like at times. I am an old school metal head and these just don’t go super loud. Still, great sound and very comfortable.
Noise cancelling is designed to give you the option to listen to your music regardless of your environment without raising the volume to a dangerous level. As a metalhead audiophile I appreciate having no additional hearing damage besides my exessive motorcycling.

@Ezugo Obuekwe the gym is full of people using cans 'Not designed for the gym and they don't fall off? I think the clamping strength is insufficient. Lets agree to disagree.
Good to know Paul. I bought some Beats specifically to wear at the gym and they stay on well. May spring for the M3's just for travel and general use and use the Beats at the gym.

Loving mine, picked up a pair out here in Dubai as I’m on vacation and couldn’t get one for love or money back in the uk. Saved myself a few £ as well. But yes these headphones are beyond awesome. Compared to the Bose QC35s they totally blow away the Bose. Sound wise?? Much nicer than the Bose.
Oscar Lappay I got them for 1499 dhirrams, which works out to around £315 but depends on what the exchange rate is. I was getting 4.77 dhirrams to the pound on my revolut card. But if you can get them in duty free, the price is around 1427 dhirrams but they had none in stock. Which is what I would have paid if I was able to claim tax back but from what I was told, at the moment you cannot claim the tax back. I flew from Abu Dhabi airport, may be different in Dubai airport.
Yas Malik got them for £273 on amazon uk. ( was a prime members offer for 10min, went back to original price straight away after my order) Had to wait 3 weeks between order and delivery. Absolutely chuffed. Great cans especially on train commute into London!
Samar Pankanti nice one, I had a look on amazon a couple of weeks back but they weren’t £330 and a 3mth delivery time. I’m also a prime member but couldn’t see them any cheaper. Never mind like I said awesome headphones, glad I chose them over the Bose. On the way back from Dubai I used them and everything was so quiet. Had a screaming kid in front of me and the headphones just blocked him out pretty much, could still hear him but not as bad as without the headphones.
Thanks for your review. After reading and watching many other reviews I went with the Sony XM3 over the Bose QC35. I tested both at two local stores before making my decision. For me, the XM3 perform and look better than the Bose. I didn’t like the buttons on the Bose, compared to the cleaner, simpler look of the XM3. Yes, Bose sound quality was slightly better (for my ears) but felt like it lacked bass for some of my songs. Don’t get me wrong, sound quality wise, Bose is much clearer than Sony. But, and here’s my deciding point, ANC on the Sony just blows my mind. It is awesome. In my personal opinion, based on my testing at different stores with different ambient noise, the XM3 beat Bose QC35 hands down. So, if what you are looking for is the best pair of wireless headphones with a quick charge time, clean design, awesome ANC and bass, go with the Sony XM3. If you are more into clearer, cleaner, more balanced sound and willing to compromise on ANC, outdated charging port and a couple more buttons, then Bose QC35 is what you need. Both headphones are great at this price point, so if comes down to personal preference.
I had tested Sony WH-1000XM3 and BOSE QC35 II. Obviously, Sony is not what I expected while listening to audiophile music. It looks bulky on my head. BOSE is the best. I bought BOSE QC35 II in Qatar. I am very happy with it.. Thank you..
Ok, that settled it. I had these headphones and the COWIN SE7 on my amazon wish list, not being sure if I really wanted to pay so much for headphones. The most important feature for me is the ANC. Then I saw your one year review, then I saw this one up to minute 02:40 and went straight back to Amazon and ordered the Sony headphones. You convinced me.
Just FYI...these are almost Useless in 40 degree or colder weather. If you are walking outdoors during your commute everyday and live in a colder climate, the touch controls will glitch like Crazy. The originals didn't have this problem. These are a broken design sadly. If you don't believe me just type it into Google and you'll see entire forums dedicated to this issue. I traded mine back to the store.
When I cup the left outside area nothing happens, no mics turn on to let outside sounds in and music volume doesn't turn low - is there anything special that needs to happen? Am I missing something here?

Anyone thinking about using these on calls please God rethink it. Anyone on the other end hates it and you can't use noise cancellation while talking on a call.
True. I should have elaborated more on this in the review. To be honest, it wasn't a big deal for me as I wouldn't use them for calling. But yes, they're terrible for it.
I tried a set in store and the sound was awful, were they just a bad set? A gent in the store let me listen to his Bowers & Wilkins and they were far superior.
They were hot on me the first day I got them, but I think that's because I wasn't used to wearing closed-back headphones. Now it's like my ears have adjusted or something. They're just a tiny bit warm after several hours of use. I haven't tried them for calls yet
I have acetate glasses that I wear all the time with bose qc15s. I can’t wear them for more than an hour or so. If you have tried them, are these Sonys noticeably more comfortable?
Great sound and comfort. But that you have to pair the bt each time you swap device is a pain in the ass. So Bose are in my eyes still no1 because of this
I was thinking about this for Sound Design and Music as well as general use. Is it flat when powered off and wired? Most of my older ones function like that

Great content here. They're all out of the here in satx through the best buy's 😦 I have the sennheiser pxc 550's,the parrot zik's,Bowers and Wilken's Px's and the Sony wh 1000 mx2.... I've been hearing nothing bad about the version 3 of these I'm gonna get a pair when they arrive here again....
these headphones are awesome i am happy to have a set the earbud version are good too
These have been out of stock for like two months here in Canada...
Anyone thinking about using these on calls please God rethink it. Anyone on the other end hates it and you can't use noise cancellation while talking on a call.
True. I should have elaborated more on this in the review. To be honest, it wasn't a big deal for me as I wouldn't use them for calling. But yes, they're terrible for it.
are those comfortable with glasses?
Great review, thanks.
You're welcome, I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Should I get these or the Bose QC35 ii
Get Xm3.even the xm2 are already better than QC35
@Duinaart Sarius Xm3 is just a combination of bose qc35 and xm2.Its not a really much of a difference of xm2 and xm3 lmao
PXC550.
Michael Adel It is vast improvement and well worth the upgrade. Had the xm2 and like the xm3 so much I got two.
@@8cec Got both XM2 and PX550. XM2 is quieter and more egronomic for travel while PX550 is better for listening at home or office - has better sound.
Thank you!
2:35 lol 😂 I can’t wait to try these and have the same expression.
Watching this video from my 1000xm3s 😍😍😍
still rocking my mdr 1000x!
Good review, thanks. 👍
You're welcome!
Does anyone know how to boost the ambient sound so they can be used as hearing aids?
I tried a set in store and the sound was awful, were they just a bad set? A gent in the store let me listen to his Bowers & Wilkins and they were far superior.
Is it true that they make you ears sweaty due to the battery heat and that calls are appalling (sound on the call is like being in the tunnel)
They were hot on me the first day I got them, but I think that's because I wasn't used to wearing closed-back headphones. Now it's like my ears have adjusted or something. They're just a tiny bit warm after several hours of use. I haven't tried them for calls yet
There is no battery heat
I have acetate glasses that I wear all the time with bose qc15s. I can’t wear them for more than an hour or so. If you have tried them, are these Sonys noticeably more comfortable?
Are the WH-XB900N headphones just as good or almost just as good?
Nice review, do they work well with an iphone X or do you need an Android phone?
Joakim Tollerud yes they will I just bought mine today waiting for them to ship on Thursday I bought them for my iPhone XS max
Joakim Tollerud I use with my iPhone X they work great
Stephen Knight thx! Hope for a massive deal on BF. 🙄
Great sound and comfort. But that you have to pair the bt each time you swap device is a pain in the ass. So Bose are in my eyes still no1 because of this
I was thinking about this for Sound Design and Music as well as general use. Is it flat when powered off and wired? Most of my older ones function like that
Great video!
