I think it's the "vocalist"... not a great voice, just talks & shouts really, while hardly rhyming, or making sense. Some of the lyrics are a bit unoriginal. The music is is ok. Not amazing, but not bad.

There's a lot of post punk going on here. Early talking heads, sugarcubes (obviously) and even some of the brit bands like wire etc. It's more refreshing than a lot of the garbage thats mass produced and churned out -and the fact that the hipsters don't like it is a good thing.

Exuberant, fun and highly addictive, been watching it over again a couple of times! FUU, Lolita and Take it back are all great tracks! Can't wait to catch them live! Dream Wife 4 life!

I'm late to the party here, but I just discovered the band last week. I have so much love for this performance, so much energy, amazing presence, and now also one of my favorite guitarists. Have since snapped up vinyls of both albums and am looking for the EP. Absolutely fantastic!
Started off not really liking it but the more I listened the more I got into it. Reminds me a lot of Bloc Party (before the drummer left and they got shit)
Rest in peace bloc party. They where so good before their drummer left and they got shit. They can't even play their old stuff well anymore and they're not that much older. Their drummer just doesn't cut it.

nope, mr. Professor Booty. Some people just can't handle a three-girl-one-boy punk-ish band being succesful and I guess that's what he's referring to. They're clearly over-analyzing their music because they're girls and they sound powerful, and you can find some evidence in this comment section. Just my opinion tho.
She is most exciting guitarist heard in ages. Inventive and fun. Reminds me of buzzcocks a bit .

Found this after looking for acts to see at Latitude in a few weeks and they are now top of list. Remind me a little of early CSS and it's great to see an act enjoying themselves so much.

Lots of fun and quite good. Reminds of post punk UK bands from the 1980s, but with more melody (hello Viv Albertine!). Always interesting how singers who aren't native English speakers pronounce certain easy words like "can" and "back." Provides a nice weird edge.

I don't know what to think about this. I don't think I like it very much but it's strangely captivating.
Surprisingly you know punk music. She sings like Johny Rotten. I thought everyone dislikes it because they listen to 'hipster' stuff. I sometimes didn't like how she sang and their sound but I like it. (I don't understand most of her English).

Funny I did the same thing and think I came up with my answer. I like listening to it but can't stand looking at them lol. I mean no disrespect to them what so ever and it has nothing to do with attractiveness I just don't dig there appearance style and it sort of throws me off. Also really odd (but cool) seeing a left handed female guitar player. Its almost like seeing a unicorn.
It's easy to hate, but I like it! That raw attitude, straight forward punk, and that "I-dont-care-about-what-you-think-im-going-to-do-it-anyway" ... there's something 'charming' about it
i suppose they don't fit in your ideals of what a female musician should dress like...? they're bad ass musicians, the same way that you respect a male musician based on his music THAT'S what you should be paying attention to. they're amazing in their own right, i've seen them live and they're energy is contagious . wish people would stop projecting they're ideals of what woman should act and dress like, instead base your value on they're talent and what they're actually there to do.

Friggin' hell KEXP, the mic was glitching out for an entire song, the singer had to keep pushing the ruddy cable in, no-one on the tech team thought to hand her a spare mic, but waited until after the song, when she'd had to literally ask for some tape, to then just throw a reel at them, expecting the bandmembers to flipping well tape it themselves! Makes me mad!
i recommend seeing them live - i loved the show in reading last week

This is too good. Love that wild lead guitar, simple pounding beats, jerky vocal delivery, and strutting bass lines. Reminds me of early Kings of Leon at times, along with some Arctic Monkeys and Louis XIV.

I've become a big fan of Dream Wife since hearing a couple of their tunes on BBC6 Music. They are unlike anything I've heard in a while!
