Its crazy looking back, my dad was a duke fan only reason I was watching the game and watching 3j light up is one of few reasons I’m a basketball fan today
This is really impressive from Lehigh especially when Duke had 6 Future NBA players and Lehigh only had one. C.J is having a great basketball career and I love seeing him play basketball

McCollum is a very good NBA player. Duke's roster was full of NBA scrubs, journeyman, and guys that could barely stay in the league.
Looking back years later, given the career CJ McCollum has gone on to have in the NBA, this wasn’t as big an upset as it appeared at the time. Mercer’s upset of Duke two years later was a bigger shocker.
exactly now it doesnt look too bad, but back then i am sure no one would have thought cj would end up having the career he did in the end.

i remember watching this right after the norfolk state upset. it felt like a dream lol
Refs did their best to get duke the w, but they still couldn’t get it done. Dukes 6th man
at the 1:00:20 mark plumlee shoves the guy right in the chest for the rebound and he get an and 1. duke always plays 8 against 5. no this time or against mercer.
I think the refs called a good game which for Duke means they don't get their typical advantage. Subtract the calls they get, and Duke is an OK team.
Watching the entire game again it really stands out that Lehigh was the better team all the way. There wasn't anything crazy or fluky about it they just pretty much outplayed them from start to finish. There was no point where it seemed like Duke was ever going to take control of the game.
Bc CJ had Austin rivers on clamps and Seth curry foul trouble. If u know anything about Duke during this time curry and rivers were the only thing good about this team 😂 the plumlee bros was ehh
Curry dribbled way too much. He used to be a ball stopper. Now he doesn’t dribble, he knows his role.

3/16/12 - 1 of the greatest days of MM history. Not only did #15 Lehigh knockoff #2 Duke, #15 Norfolk St beat #2 MO, & #13 OH over #4 MI. I’ll always be a fan of CJ McCollum cuz of this game
