The Salted caramel flavor has been one I've used for....8+ years I believe.
For the last 3 years though, I add a scoop of it + milk with my coffee and it's absolutely amazing.
I'll be buying the cookies and cream one shortly, I've been wanting a different flavor.

I have an two 11 pound bags of whey from MyProtein that I think are newer than this video: Chocolate Stevia and Vanilla Stevia. I’m really happy with both and would definitely recommend to anyone, especially if you like cleaner options.
And now my next order will probably include salted caramel too :)

I just bought the Vanilla Isolate about a week ago........YUCK! It taste like a chemical spill. Once I'm done with it, the search continues for an "affordable" bulk protein isolate (if possible). Thanks for the vid!! Your recipes are great! So......can the salted caramel be subbed for vanilla whey as a base? I usually us vanilla for all my recipes.
Oh no! I haven't tried the vanilla iso. Salted caramel can be subbed but it may not work as well as vanilla in certain recipes. I'd say marshmallow cereal or cookies n cream is a better vanilla alternative. Glad you're enjoying the recipes!

I tested most flavours here in Europe and I can say Americans are not really missing out from the limited selection
Cookies & Cream and chocolate brownie are in my top 3

You can always add fruit into the smoothies, protein powder, porridge or cereals, I always mix chia seeds and MCT oil in.
Ugh - I bought a ton of Cookies and Cream flavored protein from My Protein and it tastes like Coffee Mate "cream". Before buying any of this - eat a spoonful of Coffee Mate and see if that doesn't taste like toxic garbage to you. I also bought the Salted Caramel and it's nice. Maybe not strong enough flavored but very edible.
I’ve never had coffee mate cream but cookies n cream def tastes like cream without the cookies. But I kinda like that cream taste!

I don’t know if they changed the ingredients since this video but Cookies and cream is hands down one of the worst protein powders I’ve ever had, and I’ve tried A LOT of protein powders..

I have several flavors of MyProtein Whey but I do feel like they taste way worse than Optimum Nutrition, but I guess it's the downside of it being way cheaper.But since I used ON for years I cannot get over the way less favored taste that MyProtein has.For example the Peanut butter from ON had a way stronger taste than the one from MyProtein.
On the other side , their FlaveDrops are an absolute banger.
Vanilla flavdrops are my fav! ON choc pb and vanilla ice cream flavs are really good
@@RahulKamat Isn't shipping MyProtein to the States wildly expensive? I live in the South. I can't remember if MyProtein was uber expensive, but I know that Skinny Food shipping is about $20 to get a $3 bottle of syrup here. 😐
@@dennis_s myprotein has a US branch/warehouse so shipping is usually free and takes 2-3 days
Idk if u have the flavor but i really enjoy white chocolate flavor. If u add the powder to milk it tastes like a vanilla smoothie.

Lmfaooooo I ordered the salted caramel cause I genuinely love the flavor then tried to find a video on youtube to find out if it taste good or not cause like you said not all protein flavors taste the actual dessert. hi want to ask for your opinion. For the unflavoured whey protein, is it good for baking or being mixed to smoothies and oatmeals? I don't want something that's overpowering because I want to add chocolate powder/matcha powder myself if i'm craving for a taste. Or do you recommend vanila?

How many servings would you say is in the 1LB bag of protein powder since most companys put how many servings per scoop and myprotein does weight instead. (I just wanna know how long I can expect it to last)

First time watching. Love the content man! Subscribed. Also, my birthday cake that I got an year ago had sprinkles but the worst tasting protein by far. Chocolate brownie is awesome so is smooth chocolate. I’m ordering salted caramel and fruity cereal rn.

Never trust a review salted caramel tastes like breast milk. I’ve tried several different proteins and the best to date is iso100 fruity pebbles. Tastes good and don’t get tired of it. I’m just missing ghost

When I had cookies and cream I wasn’t impressed when I used it in oatmeal or yogurt and tried it with 100ml of milk and 200 ml water and i loved it this way 😅 Strawberry cream is very good , can be used in many ways .. Have you tried making protein bars with any of the non-chocolate ones ? 😇 I love experimenting with protein powders too 😅
Yup I’ve made protein bars with the non choc ones! The cookies n cream + powdered pb is a great combo in protein bars
I have a 2.5kg bag of the Cookies and cream and it tastes bad and grainy. It also get frothy? I always end up feeling sick after drinking it, and I have it with milk. I tried having it with oatmeal but I also didn’t like that. Do you have any suggestions to eat it. I feel bad throwing away a big full bag.
@@sz3456 what kind of milk do you use? I used skimmed milk.. you can try overnight oats (oats+yogurt+milk) and mix some cocoa in it and it will taste chocolate-y.. or instead of cocoa cinnamon with some chopped apples on top.. If u still don’t like it, try baking with it (for example anabolic muffins).. No need to throw it away before u experiment a little 😉
I drink cookie n cream with 200 ml water. So you’re saying adding 100ml milk to it would make things better?
@@vrc48 i would suggest yes, but regular milk (can be skimmed milk).. cuz it has a neutral taste .. haven’t tried it with plant milk
Hi, I wanted your opinion on something. So this is my first time ordering from Myprotein. I wanted to get a bag of chocolate brownie whey, and a bag of chocolate smooth casein to mix them together for recipes like Greg Doucette’s muffins and your ice cream.
But I’m not sure about doing the same for the vanilla flavours because of the mixed reviews with taste (1bag vanilla whey and 1bag vanilla casein) .
Should I just stick to a bag of vanilla whey and buy a bag of unflavoured casein to mix in together for less risk of bad taste, or just buy matching flavours of vanilla whey and casein? Would the flavour change too much if half the protein Powder I use is unflavoured casein in stuff like muffins and ice cream?

That’s a great idea to buy whey & casein separately. That’s exactly what I do. I don’t think you can go wrong with vanilla or unflavored casein. You can probably make up for the difference in flavor when using unflavored casein by adding some extra sweetener and vanilla extract to the recipe

A perfect vid for Black Friday. Chocolate smooth and unflavoured is on sale in bulk in my country. From past experiences I was worried about the unflavoured version even if it was cheaper. Thanks for making the decision for me!
I always get the unflavored whey. I love mixing it in a blender with a banana, some oatmeal, and a bit of peanut butter. Sure, on its own you’re just going to chug it, but I feel the whole point of it is to make your own shake flavor. It’s really good when you get creative with your shake (berries, etc) and don’t want to drink sugary powders all the time
Do you find the salted caramel to be too sweet and can you tell t salty notes?
I can tell the salty notes and I don’t think it’s too sweet, but that could be because I use it in recipes and don’t drink it in a shake

I am spoiled by Fairlife nutrition plan ready to drink shakes. They are smooth with no aftertaste, but hard to find lately.
I have yet to find any protein powder that isn’t grainy or leaves a bad aftertaste.
I have never tried any MyProtein products. Are they grainy? Do they have any aftertaste? Which is the smoothest flavor?
I would say the salted caramel has the smoothest flavor and least after taste, but I also don’t drink protein shakes and use it for baking/recipes

Due to my weird stomach, I have a protein shake every morning mixed with SF Jello pudding mix for breakfast and sometimes have one in the evenings with just the protein shake and 1-2 TBS of SF jello pudding mix for shakes in my Creami. I love the Creami ice cream!! So easy to make. Spin on lite ice cream 2x and then respin 1x. Blending the protein shake with SF jello pudding mix makes it into a creamy high protein ice cream. Yummy!

I really don’t like the chocolate brownie one (smells good but the taste is horrible), I’ve tried natural chocolate to see if it tasted better. Result: like you said, both taste almost the same, maybe the N. Chocolate is slightly better but the difference is very tenuous. So I was a little bit disappointed
Some say that the Nut Chocolate whey is really good, but I’m too receptive to try it.
I’ve never seen choc nut flav available in the US but I’d want to try that one too

I tried both. For casein is the the best protein I had tasted for ever is vanilla if you mix it with oats and milk . But for whey vanilla is the worst taste 👎🏻👎🏻

ON Gold Standard has a subtle off-putting aftertaste that I never taste in MyProtein stuff.
MyProtein is just better in every way.
I used to use ON before I ever tried myprotein. ON vanilla ice cream and choc pb are solid

I personally like chocolate brownie "whey" more than the smooth chocolate one, it has kind of a "butter-y" aroma or something. Smooth choc is just a bit too plain/boring for me.
My current favorites are "rocky road" (so chocolate and marshmallow basically) and chocolate caramel 😋
Salted Caramel is one of my non-chocolate favorites tho, too 😁

@@ANWAR-xj1uk ok so updates: I’ve received them weeks ago now and yes, I’m not a salted caramel person but the salted caramel is good. If the chocolate ones are good, I will stick with those cuz I still don’t want these to be my go-to if those are fine. It’s nice in coffee too and I’ll just use it for that.
For the marshmellow one: it’s def not for me. It’s not disgusting, but my god I’m sick of the flavour. I don’t believe it’s a neutral vanilla dupe at all, i think it is a specific flavor in the same way you would consider the fruity pebble one or whatever a specific flavor IMO. But I did make a pancake with it and it was fine, but I formed this opinion after mixing 1 scoop in my single serve like 14 oz fruit smoothie, as the flavor was way too bold for me. So maybe it’s better for me in baked stuff, not any raw stuff.

Choc brownie tastes like hot cocoa mix and choc smooth tastes like a sweeter milk chocolate. I can’t think of any choc bar that tastes anything like the protein powder
