i remember one time i think it was suga in a concert said : " I think we BTS are climbing a mountain. You’re always pushing us from behind to help us reach the top. But we don’t think that you’re pushing us from behind. We think that we’re climbing the mountain while holding hands together. Climbing up can be very tough and exhausting. So I hope when we’ll reach the top, we’ll think that all those times were the most beautiful moments of our lives " 😥💜💜💜that line will be with me forever ( " the most beautiful moment in life "was their album that they preformed at that time )

BTS has a song called "louder than bombs" you should listen to when you get to their music
RM (Namjoon) wrote the song, he wrote it as almost an apology to the fans, from his realization that he cant help everyone, he will always do his best to be here for us (ARMY). But he isn't magical. But "If not us, yeah, who will do it?" (lyric from the song) He needs to try, he needs to try and be there for us. They are very aware that their music is helping us through dark times and we find comfort in them and we seek them and look to them for comfort and warmth. The song was written with the realization that no matter how much he wants to and tries, he cant personally be there for every single one of us, but he is gonna try.
The other members also did work on the lyrics for this. But RM was the one that came up with the idea, and he said he cried while writing it. Is for ARMY, but also singing about their own pains.

    • @CarolineForest
      @CarolineForest Před 2 lety +25

But they have a TON of mental health aware songs, and many singing directly to ARMY.
If you read lyrics and something looks like its written for a lover or girlfriend... 90% of the times, they are talking about ARMY. (Their old music, not so much xD but I am talking DOPE-era and out)

Louder Than Bombs is one of my favorite songs from them because it is directly addressing us and our relationship with them as well as the pain they've experienced and likely will experience in the future. My favorite line from the song is, "no matter what waves crash over us, we will continue to sing for you." It is SO reassuring, that they are pretty much vowing to us that they will continue to try and support us even if they are hurting or tired. As someone who wakes up most days only because of BTS, that kind of stability is extremely reassuring and it helps me to fight off those incessant thoughts of never being able to actually he friends with BTS. Songs like LTB reinforce the bond we have with them and prove that they don't just see us fans. They see us as friends and as people worth doing all they can for. Just knowing how aware they are of us is healing.

I also want to give a heads up. The Army is definitely not a perfect fandom. There are fans who are toxic or overly sensitive/aggresive. I think there are always going to be bad apples in any large fandom, community, or group. With that being said, the overall vibe I get from being in this fandom space is overwhelmingly positive and I've honestly never had a better experience being a part of something

I came here to say the same thing. 😅 I just want to add that there're also antis who pose as ARMYs to discredit both BTS and ARMY.
If you encounter any of these negative categories of people please know that most of us don't consider them true ARMYs since they clearly haven't understood even the basic messages of BTS such as love, respect and inclusiveness.

There's also a lot of people like solo stans or kpop fans that people tend to assume are ARMYs, even when they are not. Unfortunately, we also have to deal with people assuming everyone who speaks about BTS is an ARMY, when that's not true.

I sometimes see other peoples life's and what there going through and I think to myself, I wander what bts will do for them. One of the reason why we love new reactors is because we want to send that music to the world, you never know what someone is going through, you might do something amazing is someone else's life, just like bts does.

Symbiosis...Army and BTS. YES! RM said just the other day in a video gift to Army, "I am Army, Army is me. It's like we're one." Of course, they have people that plan their marketing or video content, thinking about what their fans might like to see but let me tell you about yesterday... I was sitting in the sun in a park in Scotland when my phone bing-ed so I checked it and saw that a Live session was starting on VLive. I opened the app to find JHope live. Excited expecting maybe 20mins if I was lucky but no... he happily spoke to us and then walked us to the dance practice studio and put music on and stretched and steet danced live for ages, laughing, smiling, chatting...at 1am Korean time! He then walked us all back to his studio (via the washroom lol) said he was scared (big empty bldg) so put on Permission to Dance and then talked some more apologising to Korean and foreign armies who he was keeping up as it was now after 2am in Korea! He wished one person congrats for graduating that day and was just so genuine. All in all he was live chatting, dancing with Army for 1hr20m and this was defo not planned by the PR team. He simply wanted to connect with Army. It was incredible to get a free dance show, smiles, laughter, chat from JHope!! What other major star does that? When it finally ended I was so full of energy even I was shocked at myself and felt so happy to have shared that moment. Symbiosis indeed.
Also by way of scale for global Army, I screensaved the final numbers watching his VLive and they were: watching 6.48million and Likes 858+million! Thanks for taking this journey. You won't regret it. 💜💜

about the selling out random products
again, from the newest article-interview with jungkook
"I think you must know that you’ve had an influence on a lot of people. Partway into your V LIVE, you talked about how you couldn’t find any of the kombucha you drank before anymore because it was all sold out and you thanked your fans for giving a little help to small business owners.
Jung Kook: Restaurants aren’t doing well and there’s a lot of closed-up shops in the markets now, as you know. So if I’ve had an effect on even one person, it’s been worthwhile. And sometimes the people I’ve had an influence on go on to make donations, too. There could always be someone who takes advantage of the things I say or do, but I’m confident a lot of people will use them for good"
they even use this power to help some people. jungkook is the sweetest

So many of us were already donating to BLM organizations before BTS even donated because so many of us are black or POC ourselves. I barely had money because I work in the hotel industry and everything was shut down but ofc I donated. Then once we found out BTS donated 1M it really bolstered all of us. So with millions of us from all over the world making micro donations of 5, and 10, and 20 dollars we were able to meet 1M in a day. One of the happiest times in this fandom seeing all my fellow ARMYs come together to support something so dear to me. I've been an ARMY since 2014 and that wasn't the first instance of me experiencing ARMYs kindness to each other first hand. I was gifted a free BTS ticket when I couldn't afford it by an ARMY. When I travelled to NY with a group of friends to see BTS another year two girls were scammed out of accommodations and we took them into our hotel room no problem. For lyrics:
Rappers (RM, Suga and Jhope) write lyrics for their own raps. For the other lyrics of the song, RM is heavily credited since he is the main lyric writer for the group (we think he is a poet, tbh). Vocalists Jin, Jimin, V and Jungkook write lyrics as well specially for their solo songs in BTS albums.
All 7 members submit lyrics if they want to participate. They then choose what they like best among the submissions based on their theme and concept.
    For producing:
All members have a hand in producing BTS songs and solo projects, even their vocalists. Jin (Abyss), Jimin (Promise), V(Sweet Night) and Jungkook(Magic Shop) have production credits. All members submit a beat/demo to BH when theyre working on a new album. They then choose the one they like best and build it on depending on their their theme.
Suga is most credited member in producing while RM is the most credited for lyrics.

BTS only want to spread positivity and love around the world and they receive the most unwarranted hate, racism, and xenophobia. Also congrats on BTS replacing themselves again at number 1 on the billboard hot 100 with Butter. The first artist to do that twice since the Beatles. People really need to get the stereotype that "boy bands" are only for young and female audiences out of their head. I kind of chuckle a little when haters will comment BTS fans will grow up and develop a better taste of music. Funny considering most BTS fans are adults. We are lucky to have members who are humble, grounded and dedicated to their craft and fans. I'm glad you are enjoying your journey and I hope you continue. Borahae from Aussie ARMY.

Jimin did not bow. A bow is a what Koreans and Japanese do on a daily basis as a form of greeting or gratitude. He prostrated. Arms, knees, forehead touching the floor. Something you do only for Kings and Gods. So it was a big deal.

There is really no process or definite point to declare you are Army.
An ARMY friend once said, *"I went from being a single mother who wanted to check out a boy band that popped up and then literally just found myself fighting against racism and serious social norms."*
And I feel the same way. I really had no interest whatsoever in anyone other than myself and then one day, I'm talking to random people across the world about their depression and helping them out.
Just watching all their content suddenly does something to you that is really unexplainable and you just find yourself doing something for someone.

ARMY is definitely a movement of force, we, as a whole, do so much, you should see what its like when BTS drops a new song lol if the song is set on a premiere, we are gathered in there hours before to wait, breaking a bunch of pre-show records, then once it drops, the massive streaming party begins, and we always have a opposite youtube channel that is showing a live view count with the new song plus a bunch of their other songs and in-between streaming the new song, we go view 2-3 of their other songs to boost their numbers as well and so the views on the new song won't get pinged as spam and deleted, then go back to the new song and rinse and repeat, when a new song drops pretty much all ARMYs don't sleep, unless they have to lol :) Loving your journey so far!

Giving back is like our core value and that's what we go with while donating. Sometimes people feel ashamed that they can't donate much but armys feel proud of each other even if donate $1. The thing with BTS is unlike other artists they treat their fandom with the utmost respect. Artists don't take their fan bases seriously despite them being the consumer. Just like how BTS take ARMY seriously we take their art seriously. For anything they do we show our appreciation. Example when they didn't win the Grammy this year, the first thing they did was come online and comfort the fandom. As RM said this is a team effort.

Thank you for your BTS reactions. I'm not one to normally comment but I really appreciate your BTS reactions.
I found BTS and ARMY almost 3 years ago and looking back at myself, I was quite a defensive and emotionally reactive person as I had been struggling for so long. I was tired and cynical. In retrospect I just didn't see people, the world or life in general in positive light. I accidentally stumbled across the video for Fake Love and my senses were overloaded with something I hadn't experienced before. My curiosity had me drawn more and more into BTS or perhaps it was my desperation for change. Whatever it was, had me intrigued. The more I learned, the more appreciation I had and there are endless layers. I watched the interactions BTS and Army had between themselves and each other and I was mind blown by how authentic, kind and patient everyone is. I would see time and time again how they handle people, negativity and conflicts. I would watch and ask myself whether this is even real, like kindness and just being a genuinely good person who can succeed is a myth or something. I watched 7 guys with one goal who all contrasted each other learn to accept and appreciate one another despite their differences and come out on the other side as a supportive synchronised unit. I appreciate their authenticity and how brave and vulnerable they are with their struggles. They write and sing about what's real inside them and going through their discography makes them extremely relatable. Through their music they brought order to my chaos by giving it meaning. It's like they gave my emotions and internal self, language. I'm in my late 30's and I was genuinely overwhelmed by this reality. They constantly remind me what kindness, patience and courage look like. BTS is a paradigm shift of epic proportions. I am truly grateful for every single one of them, they've helped and saved so many of us. They really are changing the world one person at a time. BTS really is the hope in the world that we really needed to see. Thank you for being open and actually taking the time to understand BTS. As they mean a lot to each person on different levels, seeing someone else taking the time, putting in the effort, giving them the respect they deserve some how makes someone like me appreciate you more. I think it's because in a way you are are indirectly validating my emotions lol. Regardless of why, I thank you for doing these videos. 💜💜💜

It was apparent these young men worked hard to entertain their fans. They fought the bullies with music that inspired self ❤. I was severely bullied 😔 as a child and it can have a lasting impact on your mental health. I loved these young men even more. They inspired positive change through action. Many ARMY will tell you that BTS finds you when you need it the most. I really like your journey so far. BTS and ARMY are one and forever. Even BTS said so in one of their recent videos on their BangtanTV channel. From songs they give us for free to special songs dedicated to ARMY, it's a remarkable thing. One of the songs that gives me all the feelings is We are bulletproof: the Eternal. The song is from Map of the Soul 7 and is a response to one of the songs on their debut album. The video they released for Festa 2020 (celebration for the anniversary of their debut) depicts their journey and t's one of my favorite songs. Sorry I'm so late to your journey! I'm 36 year old ARMY and I learned about BTS through a channel called Qpark. I am so thankful to him and his girlfriend for doing funny covers of BTS songs. I have two children and my oldest became ARMY with me. I love that I can play their music and not feel ashamed of what is coming out of my children's mouths when they sing along. I love that my daughter looks up the meaning behind the lyrics and music videos (there are so many important topics they discuss). I love that she has friends around the world that she can confide in and give her confidence. So when her school friends judge her and she feels the pressure to be like them she doesn't feel the need to. When I'm stressed I can listen to their music and just go into another world and let go of my worries for a bit and when I come up for air I can reevaluate with a clear mind. I love that my youngest can watch BT21 and see the sweet stories of how to be kind. BTS has music and other content for all ages and people with different backgrounds. It makes us all feel connected. I'm thankful that my kids and I have something that is positive and uplifting in our lives.

Hi, I’m a 48yo with a doctorate in Nursing. I discovered BTS thru my 17yo K-pop fan daughter. I have since become a huge fan. Not only of the group but of each individual artist as well. I love rap and I gravitate toward Min Yoongi’s projects as Agust-D. He is a stunning lyricist (on par with Eminem) and his music production and collaborations span so many styles it’s amazing. The thing I appreciate most about BTS’s music is how deeply involved in the writing and producing each of the members are. They are 7 admirable men who deserve praise and respect for not only their hard work and dedication to their craft, but also for their efforts to make a difference. I can truly say their message of ‘love myself’ was something I needed to hear, their genuine concern for people is palpable in interviews and candid moments. It’s a lot to let cameras into your life the way these guys have. They carry a great burden of responsibility and they do it well at such a young age. I’m so glad you took the time to get to know more about them, and I plan to follow you- I’m interested in what you will think about their music.

  • @MM-et2jr
    @MM-et2jr Před 2 lety +1

Don't worry. Most of BTS' music is completely in line with what they stand for. Songs like Dynamite, Butter and Permission To Dance are songs to create joy, happiness, lightness, a break from the tough reality everyone is going though this last 1,5 years. We sometimes joke saying their English songs (just mentioned) are like the trojan horse. It's songs that the Western music industry is more acceptent to and wants to play on the radio, then people get hooked and BAM they discover their discography and other lines of work with depth for days. You'll see! The deeper you go the more you'll discover and be able to connect - I've been at it for almost a year, and they still surprise a lot with how deep and interconnected it all is. It's art in music like I've NEVER experienced before.

Honestly, for me a couple of songs came on my radar and brought BTS to my attention but it was the culture that pulled me in. Don’t feel too bad about your initial beliefs about the fandom - it’s natural and I honestly held the same beliefs myself before getting involved. You were respectful and open to learning more, which is what counts. Borahae💜

you are right. as army myself, i feel the symbiotic relationship BTS & ARMY have. BTS have created a whole new meaning to a fandom-artists relationship, to the point we value ourselves as humans and we want to do our best to improve ourselves and do better for the world, doesn't matter how small. We feel so connected to bts and what they stands for. Though most of us never met them, they share lots of their personalities to fans and allow us to get to know them, of course it all thanks to the technology we have these days that breaks barriers of human connection/communications. Since before their debut days, they never stop showing appreciation and love and support to ARMY, that's why we love each other so much. BTS are always humbled upon the love they received and try to work harder to repay all the love. As much as ARMYs support/love them, they give us the same energy. To the point I sometimes feel like "i dont know celebrities/artists can do these much to appreciate their fandom" cause their company and BTS go miles in finding ways to appreciate us and makes us feel included. These things makes it feel like being in that community worth it, you just feel loved and appreciated. and that helps us carry ourselves as humans.

when you eventually do decide to start getting into bts' discography, i hope you tell us in advance what your favourite musical genres are so we can give you the best recommendations!! the reason people get bad ideas and misconceptions of what bts music is, is because they see the popular music they don't like and immediately judge them so... i do hope you tell us in advance so we can recommend you what's most suitable for you!! thank you for your great, respectful reactions and giving bts a real chance despite the prejudice. thank you thank you thank you.
also, i really like calling bts and their story a gigantic grassroots movement - talent and a force for good being pushed into the limelight by a group of fans - not the industry or a record label shoving them down people's throats.

im soo glad i grew up with bts, i got into their music when i was 14. I'll be 20 soon and bts, even army, were the positive influence in my life🥺...... even here in a tiny island country in the south pacific bts' inspire us to help others all the time. armys in my country have donated to rural schools, cancer society and even organizations that care for disabled children. we'll keep moving forward together 💜

I am a sixty-year old pandemic ARMY. The first two BTS songs I heard was Boy With Luv and Dynamite. I fell in love with them instantly! Like what you are doing now, I watched all their documentaries to get to know them better. Then, their reality shows and concerts. Thus, my love for them is not superficial. I am one of those whom the group helped to realize that there is more to life.
Continue and enjoy your BTS journey. You will find out that they are a no-nonsense band! You will come to realize that BTS is not just a group of great singers and dancers with pretty faces. There is more to them than meets the eye! They are beautiful from the inside out! You will come to love them. 💜💜💜

I'm happy you're interested in getting to know them and their music :)
I think one of the next videos you'll be watching would be some introduction to the members and introduction to them by Ida S would be the best one right now ;)

HEY HEADS UP!! if you’re going to do a “7 members of bts” style video, PLEASE consider doing the updated 2021 version. the video from 2018 is WILDLY outdated, even though it’s the most viewed. i’d definitely recommend “An Introduction to the 7 Members of BTS” by Ida S. definitely the way to go. and if you wanna look into their contribution to their craft, xCeleste’s “BTS Contribution to Music” is a wonderful look into their creative process. loving your journey so far! can’t wait to get into the music!

You are so awesome!! I look forward to your BTS videos every week. I wish we could get them more often, haha! But I totally understand not being able to or wanting to cut other content to do more BTS stuff.
We'll make you ARMY soon enough. Welcome to the BTS rabbit hole! 💜

Bts have many good songs - a lot with music videos like butter where it's more pop-py and bright which are great -- but these are SOME of the songs that cemented bts in armys hearts and made us support them all the way no matter what :
    - Magic Shop (inspired by the book magic shop, a place waiting for you to comfort you during the times you dont love yourself)
    - Black Swan (losing your passion)
    - Outro: Tear (parting ways - could be with a friend, lover, anything you're attached to. i just feel like my heart breaks each time i listen to it. Written when they were about to disband)
    - Epiphany (self realization to love yourself)
    - Whalien 52 (inspired by the loneliest whale in the world, a metaphor to being surrounded by a lot of people but still feel like no one hears you and hopefully one day, you'll find someone who has the same wavelength as you / someone who will hear you)
    - 134340 (inspired by pluto not being considered a planet anymore, a metaphor to once being an important person to someone and now, you're just.. someone orbiting/existing)
    - Answer: Love myself (self explanatory :))
Some would not have music videos at all but would have lyric videos and or live performances. Lyrics are the key here.
Hope you can give them a listen :)

each BTS member has their own interest for example one member LOVES nature, sea creatures and animals
    and as a bday gift
we planted thousands of trees around the world and spent thousands on animal shelters, we cleaned the beach by picking up trash as well
    we did alot
and it still feels like we're not doing enough

"They just want to help out" is exactly why I got into BTS honestly. My sister was like idk 14/15 and into this boy band and I kinda dug their music cause I liked hip-hop (this was around 2017 so more hip-hop heavy music as I explored them) but the more I met people online I would tell my friends "Hey remember how we used to be into boy bands as teenagers? This is SO DIFFERENT!" because the group and the fans were just so welcoming. My mother thinks I'm crazy for being 30+ and into boy bands but I really don't agree. Right now a positive community (for the most part at least; admittedly some people are not very positive) is what we all need to stay sane.

How you are getting into bts is literally how I got into bts about 2 years ago. I watched interviews and run bts episodes and other people's videos on bts like you're doing before really listening to their music, and then finally I was like well if I love these guys to much of have to get into their music. So then I listened to songs like boy with luv and mic drop, but spring day is what got me to then look into every bit of music bts has been apart of since the beginning of their careers, as a group and individually, and my life has changed so much since. I feel so much more positive and happy and I've grown so much as a person through my journey as an ARMY and my only regret is that I didn't get into them sooner.
