This game has by far the most realistic NPC companions in all of gaming. They behave, checking things out in the environment commenting on stuff around them without your prompting, they kill enemies, you can manually select how powerful they are in combat, in stealth encounters they can get spotted but they actually stealth with you, hiding from enemies like you have to. Even in newer AAA games like Forbidden West they don’t do the stealth thing properly.
there's a quick, cute moment when they're about to get out of the tunnels where Dina goes "Babe...I'm really tired." and Ellie responds "Yeah, let's get out of here" or something like that

@@jase276 Druckman wasn't the issue, infact he told the story realistically. In stead of focusing on the plot, he focused on the characters. You see, what I think the issue is, is that people don't like the drastic change from TLOU1 to TLOU2 and it's realistic personality to not only the story, but our characters.

That snowball fight at the beginning is the only moment of levity in this whole miserable game. Yeah you can say the farm is aswell, but the previous scene is Ellie getting her face smashed in by Abbie, so it feels like a hollow victory.

I played the first game, and I already know that they care about eachother, showing me a flashback of them being happy right after something sad has happened in real time doesn't do anything for me. Maybe if the flashback scenes weren't flashbacks, but the whole game was focused around the time period of these flashbacks, that would've been better.
