We saw Mandarins on the Leeds and Liverpool over the autumn. Such pretty birds - reminded me of the wood ducks we get here. Always a treat to call for the cats..
I sometimes also see Muscovy ducks, but it's usually about 99% Mallards on the canal.
What a beautiful journey and nice to see 'Rosie' which happens to be my Mum and Step-Dad's narrow boat!! : )
They gave me chocolate as I passed by! :-)
@@NarrowboatJourneys that sounds just like them! I'm surprised you didn't get an invite to Teapot Hall!! : )
What a lovely 26 Minutes with an artist's view.
Thanks Doc. The sunshine always helps with these videos. ;-)
absolutely beautiful scenery
Another lovely cruise. Thanks for sharing it with us.
What a beautiful tranquil curse. Love the duck shots. Thank you for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it
Looking forward to watching yesterday's longer Vid. I broke my left Wrist and having trouble staying awake to watch. Thanks to the pain pills they gave me. Love your vid's!!!!
Sorry to hear that you are injured. I hope you feel better soon.
What a beautiful stretch of canal. Fantastic vlog again!
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it.
Lovely video! Bridge 81 is my favourite mooring, so peaceful and not too many dog walkers or racing cyclists. Ackers Crossing near where the large pond is lives a miserable couple by the bridge. They complain if you run your engine at all and do their best to discourage anyone mooring there. Such a shame that they don't appreciate how lucky they are to live in a nice location and be able to embrace canal life..... they're ex-boaters too! Pronunciation Police: Mow Cop, the "Mow" rhymes with "cow". I'll give you a wave if I see you, I'm on the upper Macc.. Maybe Bosley Locks are open soon.
I'm close to making the move onto the canals from Tennessee if the country will allow me in without the vaccine . Love following your journeys , very nice indeed.
We wanted to say a very big thank you for shearng your journey with us we love the way you add very important info about where things are and your filming is wonderful we also have gone back to your first vlogs and we are watching them and wanted to say thanks for your honesty and for showing the world a wonderful country that we live in thanks keep up the amazing vlogs
D&T
Thank you so much. Glad you like them. :-)
What a lovely, peaceful cruise. Thanks for taking us along :-)
My pleasure. It was such a lovely day.
Love your vlogs! We had a week on a narrowboat last year and loved it! What I love about your video is the serenity. No music, just the sound of the boat, birds, water and countryside. Truly a narrowboat experience.
Thank you. Have you seen my other channel? czcams.com/channels/I8p6Ai5hm_HSmXLXjmpNYw.html
Another utterly delightful trip, thank you Phil!
Many thanks!
So peaceful and relaxing - perfect afternoon a day staring at numbers and codes. Thank you so much
Absolutely beautiful.
It's lovely down that way.
Great sounds, video and commentary.
Thanks for watching
What a wonderful vlog enjoyed every minute a nice way to spend Sunday afternoon please stay safe you and the cats and thankyou
Thank you! You too!
Nice cruise, and pretty time of year. Fun to hear about the duck...he really swam a ways, didn't expect he would surface so far away 🦆
Thank you. You don't see many Goosanders on the canals. Certainly not the canals I've been on anyway.
Thank you Phill, again just so calm and peaceful, you have a great knack for filming a good video.
Thank you Christine. :-)
LOOK AT 24:01.... two space saucers fly over the canal in front of yr boat!!! Wowzers...
There's a clue about that in the video intro sequence ;-)
@@NarrowboatJourneys Ok, yes, saw it.... and then again at the intro to the next vid too... by then i'd figured it out... like your music, a sparkle of fun creativity... these days, if i saw two 'real' ships, i'd say they are created and built by us, kept hidden to we the ppl... the grunts... yes, i'm often cynical too... love yr music, esp the way you move from bit to bit... peaceful to my inner selves... xoxo
Thanks for your!!! Very good! 😸👍🌅🌳
Thank you too
Hi Phil a pleasure to watch as ever. Hope you and the Cats are all well.
Thank you for the great video
so quiet, so beautiful, so relaxing. lovely bridges,
Glorious vivid spring colours once again. Impressed with first initial scenes on the Macclesfield. We’re fairly new liveaboards currently hovering near Fradley Junction and debating either the Macclesfield or Ashby for the next couple of months and wondering your thoughts.
Thank you. Ashby first I would say. It's lovely but very rural and remote. Ideally take a bike with you so you can get to shops!
very lovle vlog Phil,go on and do some more
Good video very relaxing
Thank you for the wonderful journey!
Just lovley again thank you for sharing this with us please stay safe and well sending regards ❤️😁xx
Really enjoyed watching would love a ⛵ my be one day 🐾 take care keep the good work up
Thanks 👍
A nice little run up the canal. but I'm a little worried about the ufo sightings in the area, be careful.
Don't worry, the Murgons and I have an understanding.
Agrre that this was a lovely peaceful cruise. thanks for taking us along. Q. Can you moor on the non-towpath side?
Thank you. No, you can't usually moor on the non-towpath side.
We are dreaming about moving to England in about 4 years time. See you then. Many years to plan and learn.
great cruise, I know you spotted Goosander Duck, but what about the flying saucer(s) flying left to right?
Flying saucers! Stop pulling my leg. ;-)
Another excellent vlog.Thank you. Did you get the cratch cover replaced? Any pics of the finished job?
Thank you. Yes I did replace it. It's much better than the old one but not very professional looking. It works fine though. I did record some video of the process but it's hard to work on that and video at the same time. I might try to make a video of it...
Hi Captain 😊 I wonder did Bushka and Midge enjoy staying in one place for a longer period?.. Still the canal is beautiful...Thank you...have you installed the new panel yet? Thanks!!😊
They are usually happy wherever we stop. Installed solar panel today. Seems to be working ok. 😃
@@NarrowboatJourneys Great im excited for you!
What a nice cruise. Peaceful. Phil, does your boat have a name? I've been wondering.
Thank you. Yes it does. ;-)
Why the flying saucers? To see if we have dozed off on this delightful cruise?
Yes, exactly that. ;-)
ditto Lisa's comment
you responed virtually immeditely!....do have a bell ringing when you get a comment?...hoope all is going well for you during this virus thing ...we are keeping to ourselves too (in usa)
Most comments are left within the first few hours of uploading a new video. So I keep a fairly close eye around that time. ;-)
.First ... yay...!!,
Are you cruising nowadays
Yes but I've slowed down a lot.
UFOs at 24:02?
There's a clue at the start of the video. ;-)
Busy Towpaths.......Uk becomes more and more ,, a difficult place to find peace/solitude and quiet, The Island and "it is an Island" is full to the gunnels with Humans. do gov.com just don't get it !!
