A poorly aligned and creased Panini sticker is very annoying, it can make you want to throw away a whole Panini album.
I first collected them as a kid, the first being the 1982 World Cup. I started again at the age of 38 in 2010, and managed to complete it with the help of the internet. Ditto 2014 and Euro 2012 and 2016. To make up for those collections I missed out on, I also bought a massive compilation book that was published in 2014 by Panini.
Regarding contracts with federations and so on, it would have been interesting to hear a little bit more about the FA's relationship with Panini, which went dark after Italia 90 and was revived in 2016. Namely, the fact that there was a deal going on with another company which meant that the England teams in many Panini albums looked pretty lame. No official badge, and all of the logos whited out on the player photos, which made them all look like they were wearing white t-shirts.
The prices have shot up, but that is not going to stop me!

Not all Panini albums were football related! I remember my collections. Return of the Jedi; Back to the Future; The Black Cauldron; The 101 Dalmatians; The Mysterious Cities of Gold and, of course, Mexico 86 World Cup!
That was how they entered the US market. Being able to get rights to some of the biggest IP's of the time and releasing albums for those. I had the 101 Dalmatians album as a kid. It probably helped we had a sticker craze at the time.

I remember as a child growing up with Panini stickers. The best sticker I got was Ronaldo (the one with the horrible haircut)

I really enjoyed this. Big smile on my face when you got Gary Linekar. Fascinated by their archive of stickers. Got 'em, Got 'em, Need 'em! Was what we said here in Canada. Loved the Colombian guy who was ensuring preciseness with the placement of the stickers in the book!
We probably all know the szene from big bang theorie, in the comic book shop-I don t care about sci-fi, but football is my passion, and stickers are a big colourful part of it.
And I still collect...grounds-with matches.
This year it has reached insane levels in Colombia. literally, every street corner. Mcdonalds was even giving it away when you bought a big mac!

got all panini world cup albums from mexico 1986 up to and including brasil 2014. I will definitely add 1982, 2018 and 2022 to the collection soon but especially 1970 and 1974 are pretty expensive nowadays.

I absolutely bought into this as a kid in school we would swap stickers at lunchtime I managed to fill two albums I think I even cheated on one and ordered the last few stickers that I needed I still have lots of leftover stickers from the late 90s... it's a shame because kids now spend all their money on digital DLC on FIFA and then have nothing to show for it.

6:07 Great for the kid but he needs to learn how to protect them. I only have one beat up album, that is my 1990 FIFA World cup Italy album, but it's not as beat up as this kid's 2014 Brazil WC album.

Thing i noticed in 2014 is that the box is $50 usd, in the end of 2015 i got one for $15 and now its $30 and right now the russia box is $15
the prices of one packet mere than dobled from the 2018 to 2022, at least here in brasil. it was too expensive. i completed 2010,2014, i didnt complete de 2018, about 50 stickers left and didnt start to colect the 2022, too expensive.
