I watched this when it aired back in 2005. They are what TRUE LOVE is in it's purest form. 15 years and 4 daughters later.....still going strong! They're my favorite couple EVER!!!!
There’s a few couples from big brother too. Jeff and Jordan, Brandon and Rachel, Dani and Dominic, Jessica and Cody are all married....Nicole and victor are getting married too. I think there’s more couples too that are still together from that show. More successful for couples than the bachelor 😂 You really see people at their worst in that stressful environment, if you still fuck with each other after that... what could break you up?!

It was pretty much Reality TV. It feels whole some because this all people really wanted in the 90s & early 2000s, find someone who's cute to you, have a good connection, get married & have kids. Now, Society is more Hedonistic, how long can I stay single, how much money can I get, how long can I live the good life with a little effort as is required.
This is one of the reasons why to this day, Rob and Amber are 2 of my top 3 favorite Survivor Competitors. Amber's my 2nd favorite and Rob is my 3rd. Rob is also my favorite male contestant on Survivor.

What really made me love them was when they were on Amazing Race the first time. They were sooooo nice and supportive of each other. Not a cross word between them and that’s when I knew they were the real deal.
Yeah they really were great together on TAR, Rob was always supportive when she was struggling, you don't often see that on the show, usually the guys are flipping out on their partners/wives. That said, it kinda helped that they were usually winning every leg. lol
I just watch season 7 of amazing race and seeing how some of those pairs were with eachother. They wanted to win but i never heard him not once get irritated or but rude to her like some of those dudes. I love these two.... Would never wanna compete against Rob though

I never even knew they'd competed on "Amazing Race" but I watched a synopsis of their appearance on the show and I was surprised by some of the other contestants reaction to their being on the show. A couple thought they had a lot of nerve competing after Amber had won $1M on "Survivor" when I'm quite sure they'd have done the exact same thing in the same situation. Anyway, I'm really happy for Amber & Rob.
I never wanted them to win The Amazing Race but I did appreciate how loving and supportive they were. Especially with how competitive Rob is. Most of the super competitive guys on that show, if they are there with a wife or girlfriend, are just God awful to them. I especially love the moment during the last roadblock when Amber had to jump into the ocean from really high up and do all that swimming. They were in last place at that point and were running to catch a cab or something but Amber was struggling and said she couldn't run anymore. We've seen this sort of scenario play out on TAR many time and most times the man just screams at the woman and says something degrading or that shows he only cares about winning and not his parter. Rob tried to encourage her that she could run but when he realized she truly was struggling he told her to jump on his back and ran the rest of the way like that. I never watched Survivor but I knew his cutthroat reputation going into TAR 7 so it was sweet to see the juxtaposition between that and their actual relationship.

What a beautiful love story for the ages, they truly deserve everything. As a die hard Survivor fan, it was incredibly satisfying watching both of them come back on Season 40 Winners at War, it was like their story had come full circle especially when they brought their 4 kids for the family visit.

Regarding workshopping the auction: perhaps the auction could be pre-merge, and consist of items other than (gross) food (tarps, hammocks, pillows, blankets, Fire Tokens, fishing kits, etc.). You could really randomize the items from season to season and see how far a tribe is willing to go to get these things. Imaging buying a sandwich for yourself, only to see that your tribe now can't buy the tarp that comes next.

My husband and I knew right away when they were on the island he made a piece of furniture for her and my husband started yelling he is in love with her...I saw it as instantly as he did and she looked at him so strangely. We spotted that romance instantly before they even knew. That is real and the way it was for me and my husband. We looked at each and knew. Its so weird.
I am very happy for them but...like....this scares me! OMG I never realized how much pressure marriage is. I am 29....it looks like im staying a cat lady. but congrats to people who are not afraid of commitment!
