I just wanted to say thank you Ariel and Eric for sharing your lives. There are so many ‘fake’ people sharing their ‘fake’ lives. I love that Ariel is beautiful in waders or a flannel and doesn’t romp around in designer leggings with a full face of makeup. I love that Eric wears his gun in a lot of videos and doesn’t mention every five minutes that he is packing, it is just another tool. I love that you aren’t trying to promote green goop smoothies and exotic imported tropical fruits as an ethical diet. You are resourceful, hardworking and have compassion and true thanks for the animals and crops that provide for you. You worked out early in life that the daily grind is a social construct that unfortunately makes most people miserable. You have such a beautiful partnership. Thank you for sharing.
Well said Darby!!
Darby, you couldn't have said it better!! 👍
Absolutely!
You put it perfectly. They don’t go on and on about the gear they use and they NEVER preach how things should be done. Like all of my favorite people they lead by example and are very warm hearted.
I love that Ariel doesn’t do bathroom selfie’s and call herself an influencer
Fishing, Gardening, New sawmill, and now a cabin video all in roughly a week?!?! Its like Christmas came early! You guys are amazing keep it up!
I know ,Right!
They’ve had the cabin since winter
And Bo & Bandit on fb 🙏♥️🙏💯💥💕
I agree ☝️
@Woken't OK KAREN
Hint from a carpenter. Next trip put some hinges on the top of the stairs. That way you get get them lifted up to coat the bottoms with a tar or waterproofing and keep them out of the wet more. Rest the bottom of the stair feet on tilted flat rocks so they will drain and it will triple the lifespan.
And if you keep the hinges on the stairs you can pull the pins to put them under the porch/cabin in the winter when the snow level will be up to the porch/deck anyway.
Geezer, nice to see friendly constructive criticism. We learn by listening to constructive comments. Thanks.
@@ronprince1478 you mean friendly construction criticism?😂😂
@@Phl-ou6vn Hey, I *saw* what you did there. *Wood* you *cut* it out?? 😁
Yes, I was going to mention to rest them on some flat rocks. Genius though, to tilt them so they drain easily. Cheers!!
I will never forget bo's incredible courage coming down those stairs.
I remember when I had as much energy as the two of you. Unfortunately those days are long gone. Savor every minute of what you have….
I know, I savor all their minutes they'll give us.
Me too 👵🏻👩🌾❣️
Amen, savor it. You are truly blessed, thank God.
Love each other & your good dogs hard- this too shall pass.
@@anitawalters5672 they so are its almost! like "perfect" but only Jesus is perfect.🙏♥️🙏👵
The best channel. No click bait. High quality production. Living life the way it should be lived
They baited that hook a long time ago by being who they are. Love them and love this channel.
I agree!
They also the spend a lot of their videos teaching or sharing ideas giving back to the community
You got that right!!
100% why i like watching them. No bullshi* no constant "buy my merch" . Just real
Fish dinner faster than going to the market! Now that is livin'
23:40 “I love you honey but you make projects take a looong time.” 😆 I hope my man tells me this one day.
This has slowly but surely become my favorite channel. I doubt I’ll ever live this kind of lifestyle but I really enjoy watching you guys tackle all the projects you set forth as a team no matter the roadblocks. It’s made me encouraged to take on more home projects myself and finally started growing some things of my own. Truly enjoy your content and wish you a lifetime of prosperity and joy. I’ll be down to watch your videos when I’m 75 so 🤞🏽 🤞🏽 you never stop making them!
Stacy, I agree. They are in my top 5 channels. They are tops in my camping, fishing, outdoors categories. They even top my cliff repelling fisherman in western Australia. They are very disciplined not to go crazy with the bugs. Yikes!!!
I wholeheartedly agree with you Stacy.
@@peaceforall1291 you’re obviously entitled to your opinion. hope your days gets better since you disliked the video so much 🤗
Well you better go a little higher on the age hunny, I'm already 68! Long as I'm breathin, I'm watchin!!
**ARIELLE**
Don't forget to let me know where the clear coffee cups came from please!! I can have one thing like y'all 🙏♥️🙏😁
I'm 82 and my favorite to watch too!
Stairs for Bo! Woo-hoo! (He's a lot of subscribers' favorite, in case you hadn't noticed. Not that we don't love Bandit, we do, but...I dunno, maybe it's just that Bo speaks couch potato more fluently.😊)
😃😍🐾
♥️♥️😂
Arielle makes me laugh all the time, today was the attempt to get up on the deck. 🤣❤️
This brings back a lot of memories for me, I was 28 when I bought my wooded land and cleared it myself and wife, with only a pick up truck and chainsaw, it took 2 years all said and done, when I finished my home and business building. I wouldn’t trade it for no amount of money. The feeling of doing it yourself is priceless. Much Respect to both of you.
Where’d my glasses go? On your head! 😂 I’m Sure everyone has done that before lol
You talkin about just once??😄
I know I have many times!
@@boymomx3OG
All the time😂😂
Still rolling 🤣🤣 just thinking about it🤪🤪
You need your glasses to find your glasses. The great catch-22.
Please make sure to buy yourselves some rowing ors for the boat my grandfather (he owned mostly pontoon boats) always told me no matter what the size of your boat to make sure you have some so if you run out of gas you can at least row yourself to shore. Awesome video!
Wise grandfather and good job for paying attention and listening to him!
I wonder if container ships carry oars
@@Notverygoodatall 3,000 years ago they did
@@drozone3658 it was the first thing that popped into my head on their first video going out on the boat to their cabin and I must have forgotten to comment about it. It gave me such anxiety especially when Eric said they burned more gas this time around, I could hear my grandpa in my head telling me that it’s wise to have ors just in case you ever find yourself stranded on the water. It’s probably more important for them simply due to how remote of an area they are in
I was wondering if they had ors.
I like how you go straight to the video and not wasting 5 mins on the same introduction like other channels
I ate chocolate ice cream and a kit Kat bar while they did all this work and I'm still exhausted. 😆
I drank beer. It was discontinued, so I got 1.5 Liters for $.60 USD.
I got myself a bowl of chocolate ice cream aswell to watch the video..lol
Then I was watching them make coffee and thought a cup of tea would be great..
I love how bandit always loves scratching around in the water. What is he looking for? eeee. cute.
I clicked so fast…… love seeing you two!
Hey gang. Wonderful Awesome beefcake learning stuff. Just so watchful. Two nice competent ordinary people actually doing it.
The only thing that’s missing is the magical ANDREW CAMARATA How great that would be. He would love it to I’m sure.
Lots of love and best wishes from Roger

Hi guys am a jamaican who been living in new York city queens new York for over 33 years i miss the country side in Jamaica where i was born and raised until I was 14 yrs old .watching you two just take me all the way back to my childhood, river lakes outdoor cooking. I miss it all i told my children that my final destination his going to be Alaska they told me good luck dad. But i am tired of this concrete jungle call new York city. Just love the greenery thanks for sharing.
A choice day of living and loving at the cabin. This is more than entertainment...it's therapeutic. Thanks.
I get excited about all your videos... BUT the REMOTE CABIN videos are the best!
I love em all🙏♥️🙏👵
I love each trip we take, because I know it will be better than the last time. What's for lunch, I'm hungry already.
The energy on u two....not toi mention the filming and editing that we dont see! Great vidéos.....as I sit on my couch in Boston feeling too tired to put my laundry in dryer!!! Lol.
Yeppies, just laying in bed watching the Illia's go all out in peace & love! 🙏♥️🙏
Watching use at the cabin takes me back to my years as a kid when we spent the summer at the log cabin by dad built, Out on the lake catching fish and eating them for dinner. The smell the old Coleman gives off. The Coleman lantern sound. The sound of the rain on the roof at night. I don't miss eating flies that was funny. Stairs look great.
Aw! There's Bo! I was afraid he got left at home! Sweet old guy. I find myself very invested in the health and happiness of your dogs, especially as they get older and slower. It's strange but I don't mind.
And I am very fond of their big black kitty!
@@marygbythec7491 Pepper is a beautiful cat, I look forward to every shot she is in.
Love all their fur babies!
Roughing it in the wilderness and out comes the French Press coffee. Love it.
"Im stuck, is there any way you can....."
"Im not real sure where youre going with this here"
Sounds just like something my hubs and I have said... love it thanks for leaving that in there!!!
😂😃😁😄😅😆
Part 2: Arielle: Where are my glasses. Eric: On your head.
Something my husband would say too! I got a chuckle out of it!
I laughed so hard...😂😂
Having grown up on 10 acres and spent my summers on my grandparents dairy farm I have a deep respect for nature and that's what I love about you two. I lost my wife to cancer and watching you two reminds me of what the two of us had!! I live in a big city now and miss my roots so much so until the day comes that I can return I'll watch you guys and enjoy what you give to myself and so many others!! Thanks so much!!!! Live simply so others may simply live!!!
Love the content, love the cinematography. You two have one of the very best channels on CZcams. Thank you for taken the time and effort to take us along!
These two are so cool, and have such a great relationship, a must for what they are doing. What I really find amazing is they are wo equally involved and contribute equally. That is very rare to see.
S
Hey guys, I so, so much love ALLLLLLLLL your episodes. There's so much fun & joy watching a lifestyle that I can only imagine and you two seem to enjoy so very much, which I unfortunately will never be able to experience ever due to my wife’s indulgence of artificial luxury). Bless you both and just be safe in everything you two do.
PS:
Do you two ever argue on anything? Any nasty one day separations? Not trying to be intrusive, but just a natural thought. PEACE - JUST ONE LIFE TO LIVE.😄
Eric has a smile from ear to ear in that new boat headed towards your cabin. It's so cute!
When I saw your fb post with the pooches in the cabin bed, I was like "woooooot wooooot cabin video coming soon!!!". Gawd I love you guys. ✌🇨🇦❤🤗
I LOVE you all❤❤❤those puppies are SPOILED ROTTEN babies. Ariel...stop picking up HEAVY stuff, babe. Be safe, and be mindful ❤....Eric....she is a beautiful soul and so are you.
Eric, I’m constantly amazed at your building skills. Those are great stairs!! And, you guys rock with catching your dinner and cooking it. Happy life! ♥️❣️🙏🏼❣️♥️
Nice stairs. I thought no stairs to the cabin to avoid bear from crashes into the front door.🤭🤭😅😅
Very precise cutting with the chain saw there...
Next project perhaps wooden jetty for the boat mooring....?
Some wooden railings to climb up the slope?
Btw,. If you can get a wooden pole lighter but strong (something like bamboo strength) , or aluminium pole, five ft length, tie it on the side of the boat. When passing lakes with a lot of weed and overgrown, where propeller can get caught and jammed, use it to push the boat, to propel the boat out of the area. So less damage to the propeller head.
Also when the water recede the danger of damage to propeller hitting stones or ground, if the boat not that heavy, you can use it to push forward. One at the back and one at the front.
Also to hang some plastic buoy on the side of the boat to protect the side from hitting something solid..
Etc
Your two dogs are a lucky pet.
You both make a good parents.
Keep safe.
Held my breath until Bandit appeared. Oh, Bo's kiss was so sweet. I love the "home place" but that cabin and surroundings (even as wild as it is) is awsome.
Thanks to you guys I've finally convinced my boyfriend to move to Alaska to start a homestead, it's now our five year goal to move out there! Your videos are the ultimate guide, thank y'all for everything you create and share. Sending positive vibes your way:)
Good luck with your plan!
chaps, chaps chaps bin there done that. being that fare out it could be life and death .Love the cabin video
Everytime I start to watch one of your videos I realize you live, I only exist. When the video is over I realize, damn have I lived!!!

"Hey I thought you did parkor" 😂
Amazing how different This Looks compared to Beautiful Winter and snow. @13:26 I am shocked at how many tree's have died, Was it from that Nasty Beatle? Never did I think this would or could happen in Alaska. Adore you Two beautiful soul's Ariel and Eric, Hug's to "Bandit" "Bo" "Pepper" and Hunter (in the arm's of the Angel's) That Yummy dinner I could smell from here.. omg You two are Earth Angel's the way you Love your Dog's. You’ve spoiled us! This 28 minutes was not near long enough! ♥️
Great video ,, wasn't the video I was expecting after the last video ,, figured ya'll would be trying to stock Lowe's with new lumber from the new mill ;-)
That's the same kind of camp stove we used when i was a kid. Brings back memories of my parents pumping it. Used to have a lantern like that too
I remember our lantern but we didn't have a stove like that.
My Coleman as a kid was Coleman fuel powered. Got a non-working one and a 1lb propane $15 retrofit from Walmart to get the job done.
I love your videos. Truth be told I am Bo. Bandit, curious, exploring, checking out everything. Bo, thinking about it, hugs, loves and a soft bed. Just watch me try to get up on that deck without the stump. Ha!
Ok she's hilarious in an adorable way lol. Hope y'all have enough gas to get home! Fascinating to watch you navigate the shallow rocky patch. Man that place got green & lush! Really? Only 10 min to catch dinner? And such an efficient job on those stairs. Can't wait for the next video!
The New Stairs looking really good.
Northern my favorite!!!!❤👍 Bo is so cute getting his kisses from mommy.
You two give me a lot of refreshing thoughts to move back to Anchorage. Currently living in Tampa, FL and I think I’m about to lose my mind because of the “city” people surrounding me wherever I go. You guys look so bliss and unaware of the chaos and absurdity that’s taking place over here and I’m so jealous of it. I hope Alaska stays clear of the mess people are making in the lower 48.
Ariel trying to get on deck, Eric just watching her struggle😂😂😂😂
It's the dead of summer and you are both in jackets. Ariel has a beanie on. Meanwhile, I am melting in 100 degree weather, even in front of a fan. And my AC is cranked.
Mosquitoes!
Man this video is so cool. The journey you guys went through, the projects you completed, the good, the adventure/activities seem to cool. I know it's also a lot of work, but must be super rewarding. It's pretty amazing to see how knowledgeable Ariel is about everything. Where did Ariel learn all this stuff? Did you guys learn these things together or?
The stairs look great! I'm so happy to see them after watching you all struggle onto the porch without :)
Fantastic video love you guys it must be strange to stop working and not hear anything but nature I know the feeling I'm too old to do these sort of things anymore that's why I love seeing you guys do it it brings me such Joy and you can really see the beetle kill when everything's green 😁👍😉🐝
Yeah love the frequency of the videos, keep them coming. Beau is such a sweet boy ♥️
Always love your remote cabin adventures...
The bloopers make this so much better than what is on Discover TV channels !
Skylights in the outhouse!!! :)
The scenery..breathtaking!
You guys amaze me. I love how you work together getting things done. Is there anything Eric can’t do. Love you both. God bless.
Love the new music. Arielle you flopping around on the deck and being able to eventually stand up honestly shows how strong you really are. I would still be stuck there and you wouldn't have any stairs because my arse would have been in the way! Eric right at the begining of the video you big cheesy captain's grin, ahh you go a little off balance, you recover quickly and onward. Me little off balance turns into, flailing, oh no that water is very cold. Me freaks out, don't some of these fish have teeth. You both are bad asses even when off balance or flopping.
I’d love to visit you all for a week. Always relaxing, calm, but exciting, and adventurous at the same time. I’d love to live in Alaska but not 100% off grid. I would want a cabin like the one you all just moved to more up North. One with a bathroom and solar power. But then I’d love to have an off grid one to visit like you all have. Living your BEST LIFE!!! I’m living my dream through you all lol. And not to mention the love that you two share! The picture perfect life that a lot of us dream of. I love, love, love your channel!
Yay, another one. Haha, I have those white and green bowls and the plates to match. Cant wait for the next one😊
Those white and green bowls were my first set of dishes as a young woman...1974 Correl ? Do love this channel
“Where are my glasses?” “They’re on your head.” Been there done that.
Ahhh the sound and smell of a white gas Coleman stove and a big iron pan cooking fresh fish.....it just doesn’t get any better then that :)
Man I get so disappointed when the videos starts coming to an end. Enjoy it so much.
Me too
I'm loving all the content. Summer time is so exciting up there. And your dogs are just the best. I'm obsessed with Bo :)
The water is so clear! Love your channel! Thank you for taking us along!
I just had a shitty day at work. This was my tonic. Thank you.
The dogs wanted to be sure the steps were safe to use. So cute.
This is amazing.. love it .. it’s awesome see you guys work on a cabin.. look for more projects 👍👏💪
I also want a husband who can build stuff and is adventurous because this is the kind of life I aspire to 😊 Mann law school really got my priorities conflicted lol!!
Lol I'm the wife that builds this stuff. My husband is learning but he is not handy.

...lookin' good, your boat can sure handle a lot of goods...stay safe..
AWWW, cliffhanger! Going to put in the woodstove, and BAM, end of part 1 LOL. I've been looking forward to the woodstove install since the winter. Probably not nearly as much as you two have been though lol. You two are really turning that cabin into a remote paradise, it's looking great already.
Used the same mill last summer. 900+ board foot of cherry. I'm drying it on the porch and using it for flooring and some extra cabinets I need.
Great episode. It does take a lot of time. Be sure you sharpen your chain about every two passes or when you need gas. Have a ripping chain where the angle of the teeth on the saw are less than a cross cut saw. It took a long time but I've got over 6000 dollars of milled rough cut. The trees were dying and it would have been a waste of time to just cut it into firewood.
hah! now you're spoiled with your new mill, thx for the video :)
Those stairs look nice and rustic! I hear you Arielle "I'm working on my upper body strength..." I'm working on mine too.
Miss the river, been stuck in town, can't wait to get back out there
I really like the way you thank the fish or animals you eat for providing for you. Your videos are among the best. Thank you.
Nice dinner! Lucky you have abundant fish right out your door!
Those Coleman dual fuel stoves last forever mine is 50 years old and still going strong. Replacement/repair parts are readily available. If you want to use non-alcohol pump gas it's fine but get a filter funnel to help keep from clogging burner ports. Great job on the steps they look really good. Love all your content, keep it coming.
I’m not sure if you’re using hearing protection while boating, but the hearing loss does add up over time. I spent a number of summers boating that same river daily, and my hearing is noticeably worse.
Ariel's physical comedy is the best. 🦭
I always enjoy watching men cook. That's love!
Stuck and seriously considering overwintering right in that position. I never thought of calling it parkour though.
I've been there / done that and it only gets worse as the decades roll on past, Arielle. You two are a hoot.
Loved the outtakes at the end! 😂😂😂 You two are making good progress out there at the cabin. The steps are fantastic & it will be so nice to be able to just leave that stove out there now. Once you've got the wood stove installed and the outhouse repaired or replace you'll be ready for winter!
@@donaldmiller8629 The door and walls still seem to be functioning fine. Maybe replace the rotten wood and then just put a piece of metal roofing on it. Open air in summer would be cool with the amazing views out there, but in winter you'd have to dig your way through the snow down to the toilet, LOL!
@@donaldmiller8629 LOL, I know what you mean. We had a two seater at our little one room cabin up in Michigan, so I've done the same as you and didn't linger due to the cold in winter and the smell in summer! But it REALLY would've sucked if I had to clear a foot of snow off the shitter just to relieve myself and get back into the warm cabin in winter!
I like how you mix fun times with your business work days .
A tip I learned fishing in Canada for filleting Pike is to take it in 3 cuts. First fillet is the "backstraps" with the fish belly down, make your first cut behind the head, down to the spine and then all the way down the back. The next two fillets are the sides below the Y bones. Pike have very large Y bones and this method keeps them out of your fillets. Only bones you have to contend with is the line of bones in the back, which are easy to trim out when you separate the two backstraps after cutting away from the skin. Yall have one of the best channels on CZcams, imo. Keep living the dream!
Love these trips I spend alot of time on my jet boat and I dream of being able to run it in Alaska
Do it🙏♥️🙏
A cabin in the middle of now where, what a prize.
