I only had a few group calls with Cyrus and he would give tips and stuff to me and talk about the potential I had along with some of my friends. It initially felt really good to hear a higher up youtuber really fw my stuff back then. sucks to see how things got to where it is. Hope God gets him the help he desperately needs.

Absolutely right on the advice part, same time back in 2020 he would give me a lot of tips to help out my channel. Had no complaints had many conversations, life talks with him and never saw even a slight hint of a red flag. We made many plans to collaborate but he always ducked because of “mental issues”, but it’s truly shocking man I wasn’t really close to the guy so I couldn’t imagine your pain

There's nothing to feel guilty about on your end. He wasn't just an internet friend, but someone that you became emotionally attached to. That's completely justified for who you thought he was to you
But...he wasn't. Like it was said, they lived a double life, and nobody seemed to pick up on it. It's devastating for any friend of his to witness/experience. But it's none of their faults for not noticing the signs. He lied to everyone and ran with his tail between his legs without coming clean to the one who was super close to him. You're the one who's owed an apology and more

Optimus this might mean nothing to the conversation in general, but back when my father worked at his old job, there was a man who was convicted of being a part of the child abduction ring, I bring this up because he sat down me and my siblings when we were really young and talked about his experience with it, at the time my sister was too young to understand the complexity of the matter she understood that the man was hurting kids but you didn't really understand the gravity of it, I only can imagine what my father must have come through, how he felt tword his friend, because he told us that he would conversate to the man once in awhile, only to find what he was doing

I know I said this on Twitter and I could never understand what everyone else is feeling at the moment, but this is seriously disgusting what I read up on. He needs help and even if he does get it, there's so much damage done that I don't know if anything can be undone.
I just hope everyone affected is gonna be alright, including you Optimus. I cannot imagine a good friend of yours turning out to be someone completely different. I've heard it so much and I probably will never truly understand what it's like, but my heart goes out to every single person affected by Cyrus and his actions.

I went through the same situation with someone I trusted and knew since childhood. We practically grew up together and she was arrested back in May for some deplorable predatory acts that Cyrus has done. It still messes with me and I even blamed myself for not seeing it sooner. It’s not your fault in any way, you didn’t truly know who Cyrus was and no one could have seen it coming. Get plenty of rest and take some time to process this. This same type of thing happened to me last year this month, one of my very close friends out of nowhere decides to do just something so heinous you just can't wrap ur head around anything they've ever done now, but the only you can do is try and find a healthy way to cope and move on. Wow... I don't think I've heard a two faced story like that to this extreme before. It's terrifying to see what kind of demons lie within someone. And the fact that they lack the understanding to see their actions is even more telling of their morality as a person.

its so sad to see. I used to be friends w dis disgusting man back in 2018 and had no idea what he was doing, (or if he was doing stuff like this around that time) and we separated in 2019. (I disappeared for years and I came back recently.) That was around the time he was in this little commentary group with Scrubby & Benji Krol. Their channels were popping off and they were all doing their thing, scrubby and benji did fantastic, but cyrus, was corrupt. He was odd since the day i first talked to him, and he was a total character, but deep down there was something wrong. This is living proof coming to light here, that there was something wrong. I got banned from his server a long time ago, and I'm proud of all the girls speaking out about their experiences with him, and so sorry you had to endure that. This isn't right. I talk about influencers using their platforms to manipulate and lure women into their predatory clutches often in my videos, and never thought I'd have to talk about a friend doing the exact thing. Cyrus has become what he has once had to suffer from, except he loves children, and wont admit it, and will play victim and twist stories any possibility he gets. I have a video up on my channel too about the situation with all the proof and evidence in it.

this sucks. I used Cyrus as one of my main inspirations for starting my channel when I was really into youtube commentary and just to hear that he was in reality just a terrible person really hurts. I cant imagine what it feels like for the people who actually knew him. People like Scrubby, Optimus, Allucid, Turkey Tom, Pancho, Bumpkin, and primarily Cyrus were huge inspirations to me and the only reason i took classes to learn how to edit in the first place.
i used to watch him all the time and would always be happier after watching one of his videos. My main objective with youtube a few years ago was to get up there with him and popularity and hopefully get to meet him. I feel disappointed
that i no longer want to and now never will. it really hurts.
This situation just makes me feel like my reasons and motivations for content creation are misplaced and im not sure how to feel about this. I hope everyone who was affected by his cruel behavior is okay now and are staying away from him. This is a terrible situation and my heart goes out to those affected.

I don't remember if I came across him before, but just within the past maybe 2 years I had subbed and unsubbed to him a couple of times. I managed to avoid all the prominent content creators who ended up bad like Jeffrey star or onision. Seeing this go down in real-time is crazy. Optimus, thanks for being open and honest and not like other content creators who would defend wrong actions or say it's not their problem because they weren't directly involved. Keep up the good work and keep on focusing on helping like you've been doing. Hope you find good people to work with in the future when you're ready for that again.

This is really sad. I became a fan of his videos over the past year or so. Him, your channel, and Penguinz0 were among the channels that got me into the YT commentary community.

I've personally had something like this happen to me, I had a friend who I was currently going to college with. Then he stopped showing up, and it wasn't until a year later I found out he'd been convinced for messaging a 12 year old (he was 17-18 at the time). It's definitely hard to come to terms with it, but just like anything you'll get through it

And besides the reason of me enjoying his content, I also enjoyed the fact that he had the same name as me. As the name isn't really common, at least from where I come from. But my name is spell differently as in "Syrius" without the C. Overall, I hope all the people affected are able to find the help and positivity they need to recover safely. Now, I don't feel so proud to have this name... 😔

This is the first time an important CZcamsr I've watched consistently has done something like this in my entire decade of being around on CZcams. It's just completely shocking and disgusting, and it's just truly unbelievable.
The thing is we don't know what CZcamsrs do in the dark. There are probably many more CZcamsrs people love who are doing the same thing. They just haven't been caught yet. It's sad, but possibly true.
