What a rendition! Her Gandma Mery produced this. Looks like she used the same store she used for My Funny Valentine! Her sister Juliette was the older girl. The 2 younger girls are her Uncle Mike's kids, and, of course, 2 time Grammy winner Rob Christie on piano. The beehive hair is supposed to represent Elvis's wife Priscilla, however, I thought the same too that she looked like Amy! What a great cover! I was not expecting this! Funny thing is, this was almost 4 minutes, but it flew by and felt short! Going to listen to it again! 16 years old???? Seriously??? Wow!!!!

Angelina as always pays tribute to the original artist while making the song her own. She was in Norway today, back on stage for the first time since AGT (about 2.5 years ago). She sang her version of "Bohemian Rhapsody" and covered "I Have Nothing" from Whitney Houston. Best to wait until the professional video is available before reacting. To support Angelina, I now watch the original video after each reaction video I watch and I encourage all angels to do that same.

Angelina nailed this one from the start. The antique shop just pulled you into the classic/vintage Elvis song and gave it a feel of Graceland. Shaking the dust off of vintage music, black leather jump suit, red guitar-believe it is actually Rob Christie’s-and Priscilla Presley’s Beehive hair style, all relates back to the 1968 comeback special. Her two cousins and her sister Juliette show how important family is and her growth. The symbolism throughout the song was awesome. Love how Angelina cradled the guitar with her hip! Rob Christie is a Grammy winning producer and the director of studio operations at Republic Records, Angelina’s record label. He has accompanied her on piano since her signing with Republic Records. She has been a professional for many years. See her studio version of I have nothing-she knocks it out of the park again!

With Angelina there is always attention to detail. The black leather outfit, the guitar, Rob's bright coloured outfit - like at the pictures from the Elvis comeback special I 1968 - it's all there. As to Angelina's interpretation- the slow tempo gives the space for a deeply emotional performance.

Absolutely what I expected. She made this her own song and she did it beautifully. I noticed Juliet sitting there she is going to be as beautiful as Angelina one day.
Elvis' version is great and it always was, and it still is one of my favorites. but Angelina's version is equally great and is definitely her own.
When I first heard this song I loved it and put it at #3 on my playlist (Angelina Jordan Playlist by Terry M.), about midday I moved it up to #1. The main thing that changed my mind was the power in her voice. I'm not talking about loudness I'm talking about the power she has regardless of how loud or soft she sings. This is a quality that I haven't heard from anyone in my 82 years. This voice has become so unique that it is totally unmatched.
The pianist is Rob Christie (3 Grammes), he is the head of the Republic Record department that is responsible for Angelina and other singers.
The two small kids are her uncle Mike's kids, and the older girl is Angelina's sister.

i'm sitting here in tears i envy rob that he gets to play for AJ, i can't believe i can't be at their concerts in Norway and i envy everyone who gets to experience that and of course I wish you a wonderful experience for you participants. This cover is incredible and it shows what wonderful things are to come in the future. Protect her because she is the treasure of all of us. Now add the album and I'm the happiest person in the whole universe.

Love your reaction. Love Angelinas lower register. Love that she keeps surprising us, because we know shes great but we never know what she will do with a song. How jazzy will it be? Will she keep her promise made at 6 years old and still be barefoot? Elvis sang this with a fast up tempo beat which I felt never suited the lyrics. So yet again I prefer Angelina. She extracted and projected an emotional resonance I only get from the best artists.

Elvis's take was a faster paced driving beat. I think the hair was a nod to Priscilla, but the black leather was all Elvis he wore for his comeback concert broadcast around the world in '68. Also his red guitar was a Gibson ES 335 if I'm not mistaken.
I was struck by the fullness and depth of her opening phrase. It was powerful without being overbearing. It was beautiful in it's strength it set the tone for the whole song.

I was never a huge Elvis fan, even though my mother was, and she played his songs all the time, but I have read in the comments last night that this tribute was complete. From the black leather jumpsuit that Elvis wore on his comeback tour and the red guitar, to the hairstyle reminding us of his wife Priscilla from the early years. This young lady and those she works with are masters at what they do. And she was still paying tribute to a blue eyed Persian girl she met weighing people on the street 10 years ago. Not to mention her two little cousins and her sister being in the video. She truly is a treasure, and this interpretation was solid gold.
The scene reminds me of antique stores in Memphis.

The black leather jumper and the red guitar are the same that Elvis had in his 1968 comeback special, and the hair style is similar to the iconic beehive hairdo that Priscilla Presley was sporting around that same 1966-1968 time frame. Elvis’ rendition is of course a stand alone iconic song. It is more up tempo as has a more commercial appeal. As she so often does, Angelina slowed the tempo down and in doing so her version sounds like a completely different song, while also respectfully paying tribute to the essence of the lyrics in Elvis’s song. I much prefer Angelina’s rendition because, as she always does, she brings forth the pure emotion that she feels the lyrics convey.

"That guitar riff" Yes, thats Angelina. The fascinating thing is how restrained she is! She doesnt care if we think she is capable of playing along, all that matters is that the result on the track matches her internal idea.
I love that she walks into the store in her boots, but is barefoot when singing. Her grandmother Mery did a great job with this video. Once again, Angelina's interpretation of a classic makes you hear and, more importantly, feel the song in a whole new way. This version tugs at your heart strings just a little more, makes you feel the sadness a little deeper. Pure genius.

She has like 160 covers and 5 original songs. I recommend million miles which she wrote for her grandfather when he passed away. It also dedicated to everyone who has lost someone who is close to them. There are multiple versions of the song but the live studio recording is my favorite. She also has one where her grandmother did the art work for the video.
