Why the handles don´t appear when I create the keyframes? How can I make them show up? thanks in advance!

When you have your element selected and can see the path, select the Pen Tool, and if you click on the path it should open up the handles! (I copied someone else's comment that helped me!)

Replying for visibility to other folks: Goto After Effects > Settings > General. And then uncheck "default spatial interpolation to linear"
