This video resonates so hard. I've been reading tarot since 2004 and now have over 100 decks. But I only regularly use a handful. On the other hand, it's only by trying so many decks that I now understand what works for me.

Great advice. Sure it is not a pleasing one for people who encourage this kind of over consumption of tarot decks by showing their absurdly huge tarot collection. I almost fell in that trap but with the marseille deck found the simplicity and ease of just having one tarot deck. Thank you for your honesty.
Yes, its tempting. I lived and worked more than 25years with one playing deck and two Lenormand. Now its not enough. We need good connectin with cards with wich we work. Maybe its good to separate whats for work and whats for art. Some are collectors wich is fine too if its not without boundries, thats disturbing.
Its like obssesion. I have lotof them! In last more than a year when I got the intrest in Tarot I got it 7. 2decks I got as present. Its enough for awhile. I had one playing deck of playing cards for more than 25years, than I lost one card. I still wish to find it😢 (10❤). Lenormand two decks, now 5 and I realy wish two more decks, one for visuals one bc its related to astrology. Its seems a lot to me, on the other hand I see the real ones with 100of decks😮...You cant make real connection with so much decks! Its become big busniess, one great lady was denied printing a book(abt Lenormand),she was told that Decks and children's books its what makes money!!! I have problem with Oracel, so much beautiful and intresting. I stoped myselfe in no 15. 4 of them are for astrology, I could easly find some 5more! I want to have one from Kim Krans for sure, than I will see how much I work with some. Usuly I use 2 to 3oracel decks for a long time, than I switch. I belive that you should buy cards careful, responsiable and with intuiton, if you dont use them right away...some are meant for later ;)
Thank you so very much for this, I recently downsized to just one tarot deck and one oracle deck and I know I will use both for the rest my life and I'm willing to have $$$ in savings to buy replacement copies of each if necessary in the future. I've been into tarot decks and oracle decks and Lenormand decks and etc for about 10+ years. I prefer to mainly use the divination systems that my beloved maternal grandmother and her ancestors in Asia used such as casting the bones which is better known nowadays as charms casting
Don't be too hasty and rash. We all go through phases. Especially when we are immersed in a particular thing like you are in Marseille system right now, everything else can feel obscure. For me it's a sudden shift to Thoth after a flash with Marseille, which I love. Yes don't buy more, but I encourage you to hold on to your decks that you still do love. You might look at them and go back to them, or back and forth. I love all 3 of the main Tarot systems. And I love having different decks that evoke different parts of my mind. I do have too many decks though, and it wasn't difficult to get to this point. Please yes, show us your collection! Don't go too fast! How many decks do you have?
I would just say: Buy the decks you really really love and like... If they are 20 buy 20... If you really really wanna buy 30 buy 30.. At the end yes... You will not use more than 5-6..
I have a sizable collection of decks, and don’t use most of them. My most commonly used tax are the CBD Marseille, English magic, tarot, good fortune, tarot, Robin Wood, and the standard rider Waite Smith. I also have a pocket TdM that lives in my sling bag. If necessary I could whittle down to CBD marseille, but not sure which RWS deck I’d use, which may be why I’m struggling more with Smith Waite than TdM
You are right. I am addicted to buying old Marseille decks. It’s a buzz getting a new old set. I have two decks printed in the seventies which I use most. Don’t believe you shouldn’t have a used set. I like the feeling they have had a journey. Your voice is great. Make more videos! 😊
Where are you now with your deck collection? It's a very hard process to get rid of decks and I'm in the midst of it right now because I am moving and want to minimize. It's overwhelming. But one thing I keep going back to is the idea of only working with one system and one deck. Really getting away from the collection. Maybe I'll just keep 20 or so decks that are for relaxation and looking at but just read with one deck. Thanks for this video which touches on all of us one way or another. Anne

Yes! I have only one tarot deck so far, I have ordered a new one and want to get one more:the Marseille tarot, for study purposes. I'm defo trying to avoid having tons of decks, it's juat not needed.
