Guys on mac for me it didnt download the update as it said it only works on windows but if any of you have the same problem try and download it on safari. It worked for me then i just did everything he said

I got my PS5 yesterday, i try and download it and it just says 'Cannot connect to the network' my PS4 and PS3 download things just fine, everything else works, its just the system software update, I've tried with 3 different networks, wish me luck

Here’s a question. I bought a PS5 but it’s region locked to china for government control. However. My PSN is a USA account. Does Sony provide firmware update to change the region ? Otherwise it’s bricked to the Chinese PSN.

I keep getting stuck with the PS5 saying that it can’t find the USB reinstallation file - I’m using Mac to install the reinstallation file.
Make sure you are making the sub folders, so name one folder PS5, and within that folder another one label UPDATE, and within that folder the update file. Make sure everything is in CAPS. And that the usb is exFAT

Anyone having issues with the PS5 not finding the update file? I swear all files are set up correctly and the usb is formatted properly but every time I try I get the “cant find the update file” message.

I had this done and followed the download steps and my ps5 still says " plug in a USB that has updated file". I don't know what's wrong and it only let's me select " reinstall system software"

@xlmig3073 ..I ended up sending it to Sony because I had a few months left on my warranty. They fixed it and I sold it to gamestop to get the Xbox. I never had issues with the Xbox, I'm done with Sony for now
