    I have one and lost power last night and its been stored for about 8 months since the last use and it was still at 100%. I used it for my CPAP all nigh and still had 30% left this morning. I love it.

      Be careful with keeping it stored at 100% the whole time. That can degrade the battery and shorten its lifespan. I believe if you’re gonna keep it stored they recommend storing it at 40-60%.

    I own a Ecoflow River 2 Max, the 513 wh one, the middle brother. We have rolling blackouts in South Africa, sometimes it is a daily occurrence and for a minimum of 2 hours at a time. These rolling blackouts are planned by our power supply company and to the degree where it will be timed from 4 pm to 6 pm, or from 8 pm to 10 pm. Perfect timing right when you get home from work. This device has been a life saver in terms of just relaxing in front of the TV. As you mentioned as well, I keep it plugged in, so no more surprises as I'm gaming, etc. Great device for any South African here thinking about this device, I'd maybe just recommend getting either the max or the bigger one like he has, the Pro.

    i've had a river 2 pro for more than a year and a river 2 for 6 months, both have been excellent units. i use the river 2 in my work truck to run a hotlogic mini to heat up my lunch and also use it to charge up power tool batteries on job sites. it recharges quickly via the lighter socket in the truck, so i always start the workday with a full charge. another great feature of ecoflow is the xboost mode, i don't use it much on the river 2 but i use it a lot on the river 2 pro. with xboost on the river 2 pro, i can make toast in a 2-slot dualit toaster that uses about 1300 watts, even though the inverter in the pro is rated at 800 watts. 2 slices of toast in a cold toaster uses 9 percent battery, which really isn't bad. and it's fantastic to go camping and not have to improvise toast over a campfire or a stove..... xboost is only for resistive loads, but it's a very useful feature to have.

    In the office or in the garage I have found the original Ecoflow River to be very useful. The intended purpose is to battery power a Makita high amp cord drill and jig saw anywhere I need it. The bonus is the usefulness for hurricane preparedness where it powers LEDs and portable radios among other things. Solar panels do a good job of rapid recharging too. Yep...thumbs up on this brand :)

    I don't really see why a laptop needs an Uninterruptable power source, laptops have onboard batteries. A desktop on the other hand... and a Cpap, you bet.
    That being said, I just bought both the River 2 and River 2 Max, both with solar panels. I read up a lot on features, benefits, and warranties. I went with Ecoflo after a lot of research.
    I have a 3600kw generator from which I can run the fridge, freezer, small space heaters, microwave, and a window AC unit. Not all at the same time of course. But the generator is not pure sine, which is hard on computers. I can charge my Ecoflows via the generator or solar panels, and then use those to run the wifi, tv, computers, and to charge cell phones.

    im using the ecoflow river 2 pro, however, im thinking of getting bluetti and getting that plugged up when or if the power grid goes down i'll have like at least 7 to 10 hours of runtime on my ecoflow river 2 pro, if i get the ac180 and hook that in into my ecoflow river 2 pro, then i'll have over 1,100WH of run time, meaning i could get like 15 to maybe roughly 16 hours of runtime. running both monitors. i also have an APC ups backups as well, so that also will give me enough time when or if the electricity doesn't come back up within the time period. that there is another 30 or so minutes, i had this for the past 8 months now. and its still growing strong. and when i had my laptop plugged into my ecoflow river 2 pro, i was getting 20 hours of runtime so at least a full days and a half of a night. it was fluctuating though. between the times since it was on load when windows was booting up. this is a fantastic review. i might buy this as well. a long with the bluetti.

    We RV and travel frequently and use portable power station all the time. My first was a Bluetti EB3A. The AC inverter failed after only a few months of infrequent use. I keep a VTOMAN Jump 1500x in my truck. It mainly serves to run my DC fridge, but it does have vehicle jump start capability. It works extremely well, but the top molded handle is less than ideal. My favorites, so far, are Pecron. I have a E600LFP and 2x E300LFP. The E300 is very similar to the Ecoflow River 2. However, it has a 600w (1200w peak) inverter and two 5.5x2.5 DC ports. I use the 5525 ports for DC fridges and a couple of other devices. The E600 is a mini-beast. It has a 1200w (2200 peak) inverter. That thing will run my electric cooking gear (kettle, skillet, rice cooker) with ease. Gone are the days of extension cords all along the camp ground. Also, we live near CCTX Bay. Power stations really help to reason with hurricane season.

    • @MarineX
      @MarineX  Před 2 měsíci +2

      Nice. That E300 sounds similar to the river 2 pro which can peak at 1300w. I think more people should think about preparedness like you have.

    Ecowflow and Anker make good LiFePO4 battery power stations. I use a couple Anker F1200s for powering my refrigerator and computer workstation in case of a power outage (happens 2-3 times every winter). I also have a Honda 7000 watt gasoline generator for longer durations or when I need more power to run appliances.

      There's another option, the Max is the middle size one. The smallest version will most likely be too small for a fridge. The Max will run my portable fridge about 1-2 days I think, based on a short trial run. I have a generator as well that I could use to charge it as needed. Plus solar panels. The larger Pro will last longer than the other two.

    • @yellowdog762jb
      @yellowdog762jb Před 10 dny +1

      I have not personally done this. But I read the manual a few weeks ago and it addresses this issue. If your fridge doesn't kick on often enough, the power bank turns off to save power. You can change this setting in the app to "Never shut off automatically ".

      eBay. Ecoflow direct store selling for 115 right now. Just bought it. It’s labeled as a “reman” but it’s brand new. I tested the cells and cycles and all had 0. Even if it’s classified as a factory blemished unit it’s considered a reman. I bought this one and the river 2 pro with 712wh and both are phenomenal

    Right now for $169 on Amazon it's a no brainer. The Jacket 300 Plus is a new model and it's pretty comparable.
    Eco Flow is the way to go though based on price, quality and reliability.
    Stay away from Bluetti.
