    The driver clearly takes good care of his truck - it's well presented so he is clearly a professional.
    We have all made the odd mistake so give us HGV drivers some slack please. In any case he may not have had much choice if a delivery had to be made.
    All these people who complain about the size/weight of HGV's all want their goods delivered cheaply so that's how logistics work.
    Howevr, no-one mentions the Peugeot Partner van clearly NOT loading/unloading parked in the loading bay (did the driver of that get a taxi to the payment ?) - may, just may have given the wagon & dray a bit moree room.
    To all those HGV haters out there "if you hate HGV's & drivers that much stop buying suff".

    Put all car drivers in an HGV down a narrow street and tell them to get out of that situation without any incident. They would soon have a different perspective of HGVs then.

    • @annegrey-blackman5934
      @annegrey-blackman5934 Před 2 lety +2

      Your comment conveniently ignores the fact that there are signs at the start of New road (which leads to the road in question) indicating a 7.5 tonne weight limit through the town and additional signs indicating the correct route HGV's and PCV's should take around the centre of the town - and they've been in place for many, many years. The driver found himself in a situation of his own making, through his own lack of awareness and skill. He and his company should be on the receiving end of a very hefty fine (and one can guarantee that had they have been British, they would have been!).

    • @MarkFromEastleigh
      @MarkFromEastleigh Před 2 lety +1

      @@annegrey-blackman5934 I agree it's the driver who ultimately got himself in this situation by lack of forward planning (and lack of English as seems apparent). A brief description about what happened could be in the description box. I can't see any 7.5t weight limit signs in the video so in essence I didn't conveniently ignore that fact. Those that deliver there regularly would know.

      @@annegrey-blackman5934 He didn't go up New Road, but he went up Listley Street. There are no markings on it that it is unsuitable for Lorries, nor that it is effectively a dead end if you start from Pound Street. St. Marry's street from that side is marked as "Unsuitable for H.G.Vs", but no other street from that side. So if one street is marked and the other one not, then it means it should be possible to pass there, right?
