I need ur advice, should I sell the two kayaks for one solo skiff? I feel that I can do more with the skiff than the kayaks. Also I can't tolerate sitting in a kayak for long periods of time.
Is your H7 transducer mounted with the 18" barstock that YAKTRAK came with or did you purchase aftermarket? I just mounted mine and I am concerned im losing starboard imaging because my transducer isnt below the keel.
Chesapeake Bay Kayak Fishing that’s my problem, anything above 4 MPH and the arm sways back. I have a hummingbird helix 7 with MSI and I obviously want port and starboard imaging. I’m wondering if I got longer barstock if it would help. Problem is when you fish in 3” of water you have to retrieve the trasducer
Chesapeake Bay Kayak Fishing I’ve seen his and that is an option I’m considering, but the problem again is being in 3” of water and dragging that transducer or my wake pushing the hinge up. I’m looking for a way to go 10 mph and have down imaging and side imaging in case I roll up on a school of reds
Chesapeake Bay Kayak Fishing right! I am at the water line with my transducer, and I’m afraid the underside of my solo skiff is clipping my side imaging. My plan of action is to buy a 3/8” diameter aluminum barstock in a 48” length, go with a 24” long bar bent so that I over shoot the gunnel by about 3”, and then down an extra 3” than the stock bar it came with. Then I will attach a 45 degree pvc pipe so it creates a right triangle to oppose the force created by forward motion. That way when I’m doing 5-10 in deep water I can have my MDI/MSI and slow down if I need.
Chesapeake Bay Kayak Fishing yeah, definitely a trade off. Preferred mourning place but then by the time you see the object/fish on the hummingbird you’re 7-10 ft on front of it
Looked great but I would turn out your rod holder on the right side that way the entire paddle is inside so if you catch a quality fish your line does not have the chance of getting caught on the paddle & braking your line off. Also I like the large screen depth finer
super awesome skiff man!
Can’t wait to see how you mount that trolling motor.
I want to be able to move mine back and forth between my Jon Boat.

Very Clean Looking!
Do what makes it better for you. It's your boat. No one makes a boat that fits everyone we all have our own preferences
I been trying to find blueprints for the solo skiff but cant fine them anywhere. They list the length and width but no other measurements.
@@TightLinesCompany thanks I'll check that out.
What size h rails are those?
Is that the 8” hatch?
Does yours leak?
or a boat cushion for me to sit on. You can ghost me on some casts
