What a lovely idea, they're beautiful Tori and a perfect easy-going project to take away with you, I always love combining different arts and crafts together like this. How wonderful there is a studio space youcan use, is that the norm now then? :)

@@artyfartyannie thank you Annie. I think the only ships that I know of that have dedicated art rooms are the Fred. Olsen ones :) xx

Thank you for showing your tying off method. I will give it a try next time I am stitching. I've never seen metallic watercolours before. I adore watercolour, but can't do it myself. I watch you do your art skills with awe and wonder. Thank you!

You are very welcome Sharon ❤️. This is a good way to start with watercolour as you get an idea of how it works and then you can stitch on top ❤️

    Hi Tori:
Your pieces are beautiful! What about printing on tracing paper and using it to poke your holes? You stitch right on the tracing paper. When done, tear it off the stitches. Just a thought. Appreciate your time and creativity. 💜😎🇺🇸

I like your art here very much. I think if I use the lighter weight watercolor paper I have, I can glue two layers together. Another thought, if I don’t knot the threads, I could adhere a pretty layer (fabric or paper) to the back so it could be used as a card or tag for a junk journal. Also wondering if torn tissue paper adhered to the front could work. You’ve opened a lot of possibilities. Thank you very much! 💜💜💜 I love how CZcams videos get me thinking. It’s happy brainstorming.

Bonnes vacances. Michelle

I love this, and I had an idea. What if you poke the holes for one bit at a time. For example, back stitches first. Make the Center stem holes, flip the picture up and take away the foam back. Stitch the stem. Next, flip the picture back, replace the foam, poke the holes for the two backstitch stems off to the sides, stitch those. Repeat the process for the leaves, etc. then poke for the lazy daisies, French knots, and any other stitches. It seems like this would help avoid confusion over which hole is which.

This is a great idea if you have a sketch on the watercolour. As I am transferring the pattern using it to get the dots on the page then it’s easier for me to get all the dots down first but your way sounds good too :) Thank you ❤️
