  • Can you believe this textile piece full of texture and colour was created using only three stitches? It's true! Join me Start to Finish as I show the versatility of my Top 3 essential Embroidery Stitches for Slow Stitching. I also show a different way to cut out a shape (in this case a crow) with clean edges. As a Bonus - I answer the question, "What do you do with these pieces?" by demonstrating a way to display textile art on canvas. Feel free to stitch along with me! There's loads of detail and insight. See the Chapter timestamps below so you can hop around.

    I really like your project and the video too, but I would like to make one small suggestion, that it might be better to call the stitches by their more universally known names (running stitch, blanket stitch, seed stitch, and backstitch) so as not to confuse. I mean this in kindness. Again, I do really like the project you made and the techniques you demonstrate.

      I think she has used the traditional names. The names ‘wandering stitch’ is what she is doing with them rather than the name of the actual stitch.

    • @peaceofpi-studio
      @peaceofpi-studio  Před 9 měsíci +1

      Thank you! To stitch the feet I used the back stitch and 2 strands of embroidery floss. An erasable marker can be used to draw the legs and claws before stitching or if using a template with legs, the template can be brought back, put in place and the legs can be traced/outlined and then stitched. 😊🧵🪡
