I may not be the only one who hadn't heard this song before, and played this video thinking it was going to be a cover of Alison Moyet's All Cried Out, which happens to be one of the best 80s ballads. Joys of being a Brit!

This song is a remake by Allure and 112. The first group to sang this song was Lisa Lisa and the Cult Jam. Although I like this version Lisa Lisa and the Cult Jam did it better. You should check their version also.

Always loved this one, sad but empowering too. For less of a downer, maybe give a listen to the fabulously gifted, underrated, and underplayed on radio artist Cheryl Lynn's song "Daybreak." Possibly she had a little too much of an experimental jazz vibe, like Angela Bofill did, to hit an R&B audience consistently. It's a beautiful song, impeccably performed, and really unforgettable.
