He had the most humungous library of rocksteady, reggae, ska etc etc... He was massively respected by the Windies community. He was a legend. Anyone in Bristol/Bath will have heard of him. I treasure the memory of those evenings listening to his library and his introductions....

I an American and I was the same age as those bwoys in the UK back in 69 who really got the music, but bein in the US of course I was listening to the rolling Stones! In the UK, Jamaican ex pats were bringing their music and the "skinheads" were struggling working people that identified with the soul of reggae. That musta been a cool time in Britain, see the special about Trojan records..
