    If you ever get a chance...could you please do a video on when to know if your bag needs reglazed? Thank you.

    Thanks for sharing. This eraser sounds much better than a dry erase does. I hope you applied a little conditioner on it tho. Gorgeous bag too.💕

    I was told by multiple sales associates not to put a strap on the handle like you’re doing since it’s not meant to support on one side (am I making sense? However, I’ve seen other people do it too. I would not put anything heavy if I’m using the strap though. If you see a crack due to the strap use, it’ll be too late. Thanks for info!

    Don’t ever use the magic eraser on anything because my friend ruined his Louis Vuitton bags

      I had a bad experience with the Magic Eraser, too, but in this video I'm just using a regular white eraser.

    Autumn using the white eraser does it fluff off the top layer of the vachetta or makes it rough. Will it be prone to dirt in the area you use the white eraser? Thanks

    • @AutumnBeckman
      @AutumnBeckman  Před 4 měsíci +1

      It damages it. Don't use Magic Eraser on your bags, please.

      Hi Autumn. Yes I won't use Magic Eraser however what about the white eraser, like the one you used? Anything happen to the area you used it on after time has passed? Have you noticed that it gets dirty faster? I was referring to the white eraser. Thank you

    • @AutumnBeckman
      @AutumnBeckman  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Oh, I see. Sorry about the misunderstanding. No problems with it, no, but I think you would have to be careful for the reasons you mentioned.

      Hey Autumn ❤ No worries! I may try the white eraser but may try the masking tape method. Have you seen or heard about that? I saw a youtuber do it. You just get clear packaging tape, and you place it on the vachetta and press down to get the tape all on the vachetta. Then you pull it off. It removes the dirt and the oils too. The vachetta then looks somewhat matte afterwards. Perhaps leather conditioner will fix that but it was pretty remarkable watching her remove dark dirt off her vachetta top handles. I would think that would be ok as there is no rubbing or scrapping but lifting up to remove the dirt. You do have to do it several times to get it all off so the vachetta looks naturally clean with patina vs looking blotchy.

  • @moslypig
    @moslypig Před 6 lety +3

    Omg. I haven’t even got through the video. Do not use white erasers or Magic Erasers on your vachetta 😭
    It will rough up the leather and it will not patina evenly. It could also dry up that area and cause cracking.

    • @AutumnBeckman
      @AutumnBeckman  Před 6 lety +2

      No it didn't. The part of the vachetta where the pen mark was is ever so slightly lighter but it's not noticeable if you don't know it's there.

    I actually wet magic eraser, squeeze it and dip in the Cadillac conditioner before using when there’s deep dirt. But super gently. But the white eraser is good for many things👍

    Hi Autumn, On Facebook there is a group called “LV Restoration and Dyeing”. They are a wealth of information on how to clean and restore Louis Vuitton bags. You might want to join and ask them for advice on how to fix the damage you’ve done to your bags. Also, in the future you could go to them before you try anything on your bags that you’re not 100% sure of 😉

    Why not send to leather surgeons to fix for 25.99 and save the bag? All high end Chanel, Louis etc are sent there. They are amazing and not that expensive.

    That is the exact eraser I use to clean my handles. Wipe gently don’t rub vigorously. The eraser and a non alcoholic wipes removes most from vachetta.

    There is a You Tube person who has a wonderful tutorial on care for Louis Vuitton bags. His name is Monsieur Ashley. He recommends using an alcohol free baby wipe first, using a white eraser gently, and then following up with another pass with the baby wipe.

    Awww, Sorry. Glad it wasn't your newest Damier Azure (can't remember, much less pronounce, the name)! Pens ubiquitous. Good job with the white eraser! I notice that you don't put a pen in your bag in your "what fits" videos. Do you not carry a pen? Or is it a "given?" Glad the most obvious ink came mostly out❣ Real life happens.😕 Glad you enjoy using your $$$ bags anyway❣ 😆 💝💕💞💝
