My mom is a teacher and wanted me to go but she respects whatever choice I will make. As soon as my summer courses are done im out somewhere else. I believe success is in hard work and not in a degree, the world changed so much. I understand your parents for being worried. Influencers are selling to the youth the dream that it's easy to make money online or to live off being a content creator. It is not easy, and if you are not willing to put in the hard work you will fail. They just want you to have stability, but it's pointless to be safe if you are unhappy. We see in today's world a lot of people who achieve greatness without a degree, but you need to apply the same things that you do in school: work hard, be on time, and most important always LEARN (from experience, teachers, internet, books,..). You will not convince your parents with your words, they need to see it with your action. Work hard, make some views, make money, learn and improve, and their opinion could change. You can even get a job to accumulate money while CZcams is your side hustle but that's up to you. I want to warn you about the dangers of being a CZcamsr (this is not to discourage you): 1- Your income will depend on a random algorithm, you need to understand the algorithm and put all the chances on your side. 2- Your mood and happiness could DRASTICALLY be influenced by the views you make, which is super unhealthy. You depend on people. 3- Make sure you love it enough, because you will have to create content and edit videos even when you don't want to. Things will happen in your life and you will need to stay focus. You need to be okay with always being behind a screen working on your content. 4- Popularity does not last forever. Your views could stop at any time. The trend of self development could (and will) die. And when you are 40-50 maybe people will not stick around. If you wanna make it a job think long term too. But this is not an excuse to not try and make it. If you don't wanna go to university I recommend you don't, but that is your choice. In life we have to do things even when we don't feel like it, but please never stay stuck forever in a place you don't wanna be. There is always something that will hold us from our dreams, you need to go all in and break free if you want to achieve them. Even if things don't work out in the end, at least try. The regret of inaction is the worst pain. If that's the only thing you see yourself doing, stop looking somewhere else. You found your purpose. I wish you the best of luck!!!;)
