9. Oldest Known Work Of Art
If you thought the Lascaux cave paintings were the oldest works of art in the world, like most of us, then surprise!! Scientists recently discovered a cave painting in Indonesia thatâs been dated back to approximately 44,000 years ago, which makes it the oldest known work of art on the planet.
8. Aztec Sacrifices
Recently in 2019, archaeologists discovered sacred offerings on what was once an Aztec ritual platform. Their incredible find may finally lead to an Aztec emperorâs tomb. So far none have ever been uncovered.
7. Temple From A âWater Cultâ
Researchers recently uncovered the remains of a temple from 3000 years ago in Peru which they think was used by a prehistoric Cult of Water for fertility ceremonies. This would place its construction square in the middle of the stone age. But interestingly, this discovery marks the first stone age temple discovery in the region; it was located in the Huaca El Toro archaeological site in OyotĂčn, Peru, nestled in between two rivers which are inside of the Zaña Valley, and itâs the only one of its kind in the area.
6. Emperor Neroâs âSphinx Roomâ
In 2018 conservationists, who were working on the restoration of Emperor Nero's palace in Rome, found something completely unexpected- a secret underground chamber. Inside was a series of colorful animal frescoes, which depicted images of panthers, centaurs, and a sphinx.
5. Ancient Humans In Idaho
In 2019, archaeologists uncovered the remnants of human activity from around 16,600 years ago⊠in Idaho, no less! These discoveries shed new light on how humans must have travelled in prehistory, indicating where they went as they explored the Americas. They discovered these remnants at Cooperâs Ferry, an archaeological digging site thatâs located around the Salmon River in Cottonwood, Idaho.
4. Romulusâ Tomb
Archaeologists recently discovered a tomb from millennia ago that the ancient Romans thought of as the burial chamber of Romulus, the mythical founder of Rome! While most researchers donât think that Romulus ever actually existed, itâs clear that the tomb was revered as if it was his. As the legend goes, Romulus, along with Remus, his twin, were the sons of Rhea Silvia and the god of war himself, Mars.
3. USS Nevada
We all know that Navy ships are durable and hard to sink. But there may be one ship among all of the Navyâs fleet that stood above the rest for decades. The USS Nevada made it through World War II, even though it was built in 1912. It made it through a number of other insane trials and tribulations as well, surviving nuclear and ammunition tests.
2. Megalithic Monument
When you hear about the Neolithic age, you probably think about the megalithic structures of Europe, which are pretty popular. But structures in Middle Eastern countries from the same period are less well known, even though they are equally impressive. In 2020, archaeologists added yet another one of these to the list; deep inside Dûmat al-Jandal, an ancient oasis which contains a number of ruins in Saudi Arabia, they discovered a large triangular platform in the middle of nowhere.
1. Temple of Nageswara Swamy
Recently, villagers in a tiny Indian village unearthed a remarkable discovery; the remains of a well-preserved temple that had been lost to time since the 1850s. It was found in Perumallapadu, which is a village in the Nellore district of India. In about 1850 AD, the village was rendered unlivable, because the nearby Penna River was rising and kept flooding the village. When everyone moved away, the sand dunes engulfed the temple whole.

I can't believe we keep making new discoveries everyday regarding our past
can we start undiscovering what we already discovered? No. It's only logical that with time we keep discovering more and more. How can't you not believe that?
@Davon Garcia Not mad at all bro
Our history has massive holes in it. The reason why the knowledge is lost, is because hundreds of thousands of years of our history has been wipe out by the ancestors. Just like starting a game over and over. Somebody kicks the table over, we start again and now and then some clever twat, finds some evidence. But it get hidden just like our wiped historys. Look outside the box. Objects found deeply embedded in stone, the only it got there, is over millions of years. Bodies full of radiation, tens of thousands of years old. Pyramids. Spaceships over London. Yeah it's all your imagination. What pill would you swallow????
đ€That's like saying you can't believe we learn something new every day. Tf.
@Davon Garcia jajajaja. Everything is a good excuse for lighting one up. I'm down

Really enjoyed this. Keep up the good work!
I think the different animalistic humans is exactly what we still do today. Nicknames and notations to differentiate between who's who. Maybe it was spiritual like their spirit animal defines their drawing character; could also be simple nicknames. The bird because that guy was a lookout and jumped in the trees to watch for danger. Snake because someone could walk so silently. Ect. Humans were not so different and things do not need to be so abstract.
go see my comment after you it reach what i am saying

I would also add that they would have wanted to understand certain animals to hunt them better. Take on characteristics to assist and specialise. Or they believed in reincarnation and saw the animals as valuable and the next level.
Aftersex Highfives: the abbreviation you used (âEct.â) - makes you look like you didnât pay attention in English class. The Latin word youâre abbreviating is âetceteraâ and it translates to âand so onâ. The proper abbreviation is NOT âect.â but âetc.â, and itâs pronunciation is ET-CET-ERA, not ECT-CET-ERA. You fly thy flag of ignorance when you make mistakes in public like this.

Well this turtle looking temple looks like one of Enki the bulls on the sides represented strength and of course he was a Giant.
continental drift is why people were found on every continent
Exactly
How far do you think the continents drifted in 300,000 years? because Pangea was 225 MILLION years ago. Things were getting pretty well separated by the Cretaceous, which was 65 million years ago. We're talking less than 1 million years. The continents have drifted, but not so far that they were connected in the span of human existence.
Nice video đđđâ€đ
Thanks đ€
Humans or humanoids have probably been around millions of years probably even on other near by planets at one time. I want to know what is buried under the ice in Antarctica. And if humans or humanoids may have retreated into the earth or ocean during extinction events to survive. Grahm Hancock mentioned with ground penetrating radar they are finding all sorts of structures buried under the sands of the Sahara desert and structures covered and lost by the jungles of South America.

No. 9...oldest cave art?
What about the Australian aboriginal cave paintings!
Around 40,000. Sulawesi is over 40,000. So the painting in Pilbary South Australia is 2nd oldest
Thank,and God bless you
if you are interested in megaliths look for Sardinia, an Italian island in the middle of the Mediterranean, where there are thousands of megalithic structures called Nuraghi and tombs of the giants. Stoneage is a children's park in comparison .. hug and thank you for your interesting videos.

Damn that was cool
The animal depiction on the other hunters could also distinguish their role in the hunt. These are guesses, but the bird may be the scout. Where the tail could represent the fox or wolf, which would be their pursuers.
@7:55 literally looks like hot and cold line of very old coated copper pipes leading to a bathtub

Years ago I read somewhere that the aborigines of autralia was the oldest continuos peoples on earth, at the time thier culture had existed for 44,000 years, so not surprising that art this old exists, all land masses at one time were all connected, so similarities in different parts of the world should not be surprising.

The last one ancient rock cut structure is Buddha Stupa.
Carbon dating is actually a very inefficient way of figuring out when something originated from because of the different amounts of carbon in the atmosphere in different periods of time so history could be 100% different as we speak
Itâs a known fact carbon dating isnât 100% accurate
@Richard Hopkins what makes you think its 100% accurate

At 1:30 the painting of the bull like animal is actually a two headed mythical animal it had a bullhead and the other end was a ram aka bullram chimera

I heard several stories of how old are human race one says that humans have been in the Americas for millions of years that tour garden of Eden was on Santa Cruz island another says that there was an immortal race of humans that lived since the beginning of time
Am I the only one who noticed that it says 10 most incredible recent archaeological discoveries but she started at 9
I noticed it, too
No no no no. If they found stuff in Idaho it's 20000 to 100,000+ years old. Because 14000 years ago North America was covered in a miles thick ice sheet! They literally couldn't live under miles of ice. It's significantly older than a paltry 13k years. They're just banking on most ppl not remembering the ice sheet and younger dryas period of it melting.
This is due to the fact that they cant determine where the ice actually was. The theory now is that only the most northern parts were, such as greenland and cananda. The US, and below was not. The Bering strait was thought to be a path across the northern most reigions of the world. Going from what is now norway, sweden, russia, china, among others, all the way to the americas. There is evidence of one passage way in canada. The belief is that the natives along the east coast of north america were the distant children of the people who came through that passage way. This doesnt mean others didnt use this same way, its known there may also be ancient oriental writing (hieroglyphics) in the deserts in the US.
I think we should be trying to Cross biology with technology like say an organic computer processers, like the biobags in Voyager to take place of isolinear chips in startrek.i always wanted to know, what if we already done this in the passed giving us technology that would be long gone by time we arrived on the scene, and would explain the pyramids being a eco-friendly technology, giving out unlimited renewable energy I think we should investigate more on this,to make us a lot less strain on the earth instead of depleting the natural reserves even if it's not profitable, being the only reason why we're not trying to move away from.
Scientists in 2020: new discoveries in Indonesia.
Also scientists: The locals long knew about it....
The locals also knew it was older than the Lescaux paintings. And the artist's name, perhaps? Try to get a grip on reality.

3:57 - If this was a stone aged temple, then there is something in the picture that should not exist. Anyone (else)?
Do you mean the arch?
@@justanotherguy4382 Indeed I do. Good eye!
@electric rhetoric No the fact that the first arches appear in the mid-Roman Empire.
@electric rhetoric I have been in Anthro for some decades now. We work pretty close with the Archeology community. I probably know more than any mouthpiece shill out there. If you really want to talk about things that the mainstream runs away from screaming..... I got all kinds of rabbit hole style stuff. So, as a general rule, You are right, and I agree with you. But this one is kinda easy. But If they uncover Hyperborea or Atlantis (Or whatever the hell they found in Antarctica that has a lot of people in a panic) and they find arches with radius like this (and contain other than "roman mortar") I will happily edit my mental notes. But until then, I go off what I know.
@electric rhetoric Lol, what ev. Go take your pills and lay down by your bowl.

Oh you mean the cave paintings from ferngulley
water is essential to all peoples way of life lol
Isn't it a warrior dressed up like a jaguar, rather than vice versa?
Scientists don't know the time exactly. They created time for what they found.
The animal 'jaguar' is pronounced as jagwaar, not jag-wire. Additionally, radiocarbon dating techniques are generally unreliable for dating artifacts older than ~4,000 years ago. Fun stuff shown in the video, however.
At 5:59 why are the people photo shopped onto this picture? One is missing part of his lower leg and the white helmeted personâs face covered by a mask or ? Why do we have to see fake pics when a regular camera does a fantastic job of showing one what is in front of it. Look at the shadows on the ground just black blobs no form. Very strange indeed. I am going to be looking a lot closer at these videos because this s not the first time I have seen this as I am sure a lot of others wondered about this form of trickery.
just check out keeladi in tamilnadu pls.
I want a number ten!
...and wtf is a âjag wireâ?
