9. Prehistoric Circle Near Stonehenge
While Stonehenge is one of the most famous monuments in the world, there is a lot that we still don’t know about it and new discoveries are being made every year. As part of the ongoing Stonehenge Hidden Landscape Project, scientists recently discovered an ancient ring of deep trenches near Stonehenge and encircling the Neolithic village of Durrington Walls.
8. Bat-Winged Dinosaur
In May 2019, paleontologists from China announced the discovery of Ambopteryx, a dinosaur genus with leathery, bat-like wings that existed over 160 million years ago. The creature’s name, Ambopteryx longibranchium, means “both wings” in Latin. In the words of paleontologist Jingmai O’Connor, who specializes in ancient birds, this creature probably resembled “a creepy-looking dinosaur squirrel.”
7. An Exploded Star
Every atom that’s found on our planet originated in a star when it ejected matter in its dying stages, but some material is much newer than others. In 2016, an amazing discovery was made in the Pacific ocean. About 2.6 million years ago, a supernova exploded around 300 light years away from earth. As our solar system passed through the resultant debris, tiny particles of dust fell through the earth's atmosphere and into the oceans.
6. Fenn Treasure
A long-hidden hoard of valuables with an estimated value of between $1 and $2 million, known as the Fenn Treasure, was finally discovered earlier this year. I just put it in our video of treasures that haven't been found yet too!!
5. Champagne-Scented Orchid
In 2017, botanists in Northern Madagascar’s Mahajanga province encountered a champagne-scented orchid species with large, beautiful petals. The little-known flower is just one of many species of lovely-smelling orchids, and wildflowers in general, that are found throughout Madagascar, which is known for its unique plant and animal life.
4. Mohawk Dinosaur
While working in southern Argentina, paleontologists uncovered the fossilized remains of Bajadasaurus pronuspinax, a giant, herbivorous dinosaur species that boasted a mohawk-like arrangement of spikes along its head and body. The researchers described their findings in a 2019 scientific report published in the online journal Nature.
3. Prehistoric Mine
Underwater archaeologists working in the Mexican state of Quintana Roo recently discovered a prehistoric ocher mine in a flooded cave complex. The mine dates back somewhere between 10,000 and 12,000 years, making it the oldest mine ever discovered in the Americas, according to Mexico’s National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH).
2. Van Gogh Drawing
For over a century, an unidentified Vincent van Gogh drawing sat in a privately owned collection, more-or-less collecting dust as it was passed down from one generation of owners to the next.
1. Blue Whale Graveyard
In 2011 along the Pan-American Highway in northern Chile’s Atacama region, paleontologists began excavating a remarkable collection of what eventually amounted to over 40 ancient marine mammals. The fossilized remains were originally discovered by highway workers embedded in sandstone, roughly two-thirds of a mile (1.2 km) from the ocean and 120 feet (36.6 meters) above sea level.

The Fenn treasure was reported, on July 30, 2020, to have been found "in Wyoming." That is all that he was willing to say.
U.S. Rocky Mountains are in Wyoming.
@@marppatten5750 Yes..and they are in Arizona, Utah, Colorado, Nevada, California, Montana, Idaho, Washington, and Oregon as well.
And now, Fenn is dead.

Dandelions grow on my front lawn 😕
You should make a video on the rarest coins and cursed numbers
Thank you for always updating us with new treasures of knowledge Katrina. Your videos are really amazing ❤️❤️❤️
Does anyone ever notice how amazing these stories are but that the video primarily shows ONLY a bunch of stock photos and videos with a few photos of what is actually being described?!? It’s so frustrating! Sometimes we aren’t even shown a photo of what is being talked about. I love hearing about these things but it’s like watching a show but with your eyes CLOSED and only having something described to you while you listen.
I feel I’ve missed out, cant bring my self to recall the smell of champagne...am I crazy?
I've never noticed it having much of a smell.
thanks katrina.

Love this channel & I try to watch the commercials, but I swear the commercials last longer than the videos! But keep up the good work, I’ve always liked Historical information and this is a much better way to learn about it than reading a dry history book! Thanks
I found a way around the ads. Go to the end of video n rewind. Viola! No more commercials

Nueral spikes are usually found in aquatic life, aren't they?
I love Dino alot.....
So four people had already died and that Fenn dude STILL let people continue to look for the treasure? That's a bit creepy and messed up in my opinion.
Interesting
Great stuff full of good content plus Katrina has a lovely voice 👌
A bat winged pterosaur and a dinosaur that if it were alive today would probably be into heavy metal music, interesting .
Hi Katrina I can't u give a shout out to my Husband Quinn from Trinidad he loves to hear u say "bye"

Bat winged dinosaur discovered in China.
The Chinese: let's eat it 🤤
Or stated it would cure something as "traditional Chinese medicine".
@Jin Xuan Lin ya true it's just a joke chill man
Stop 🤪
Jin Xuan Lin still..... rhinos is almost extinct in large because of chinese traditional medicine. - soooo...... maybe some chinese are sensible beings, but the evidence goes against this.
Jin Xuan Lin that is then a very recent past. But it is doubtful. China is aggressive and tiresome. But if you are changing Could we then get to a point where original ideas will come
From China. (The last one seems to be the black powder) everything else is copies and often poorly made.
i can't sleep without watching this🥰 addicted
Love the vids, but she seems to just make copies of the same video with different content. I have watched so many "top __ archeology finds" I can't count.

Just wanted to give you a heads up internet Archaeology is not a real scientific journal
Wonder how long dinosaurs lived to be anybody know is it even known for sure
More ads then prime time TV, why
Maybe cos her content is FREE, for complainers and unappreciative species like you?
they are worrying about the secrets of stone henge instead of how the lifted the rocks up when the rocks are higher then people are tall
Love the topics but I can't find love for the stock footage that only tangentially has anything to do with the topic. Please stay lean on that stuff and we're good.
and it was saurapod
Omg look at that giant alien skull...
Oh the channel knows its a whale skull... lucky
Maybe all of those missing giant skeletons that the Smithsonian took possession of are housed somewhere in there. An entire race of humans that did not fit Darwin... Yeah, let's just dump them and forget they ever walked around on North America.
But, thank you for the vid. Good findings.
Red tide? Red tide diminishes oxygen in the water. How would that affect whales?
Can you please explain to me how it is so amazing to say these stone age people could count? Of course they could..they would know if they had 3 kids vs. 1 or 2 sticks vs. 4... Smh that is not amazing info😖
Calculators didn’t exist. Had to be big brain mode. Probs smarter than some of us today
Modern people like to view ancients as dumb but I bet the moderns can’t get down the street without gps and wouldn’t have a clue on how to exist without electricity or cars, nor would they have the ability to figure it out before they froze or starved to death, or were eaten
There is at least one language still spoken today that has no number system passed 2 I believe. It’s like 1,2, many.
I love your channel it is AWSOME I have been learning a lot so keep posting videos I am subscribed to your channel please can I have a shout out if you do thank you

Van Gogh is not pronounced as 'van Go'. In Dutch the last G is pronounced, the H isn't however. Both G's are pronounced like the 'Gggg' sound that an angry cat can make, yet slightly shorter.
