- This started off as a reaction video because I was not happy with the manner the My Haunted Hotel guys treated The Shape and the debunking community as a whole. But then I fell down a rabbit hole and made some eye opening discoveries...

Oh these guys at MHH are so toxic it’s unbelievable ! I called them out on a few things that i said could be easily faked or staged and they hammered me with rude and inappropriate comments. They deserve to be debunked because I think they are faking a lot of things in their hotel.
I’m floored about the Psychotel information. That’s very worrisome as like you’ve said it’s NEVER been mentioned. I’ve been a true fan of theirs from the very beginning. This is troubling. Thanks SEG! I like to be as informed as possible so I can make my own mind up.

What an absolutely brilliant comeback to these guys. I commented back and forth to them about how people were just being skeptical; which wasn't toxic. They couldn't accept that really. Also commented to me that they never claimed what happened in their video was paranormal; when they literally said it was paranormal in part of their footage at the 16.10 mark in Shape's debunk video on them ..."after catching two paranormal moments since the hertz frequency has been running inside the building..." I also commented like yourself that they literally call their hotel My Haunted Hotel. I gave up in the end. Angry guys.
Brilliant video SEG! Thanks for pointing out the relevant fact that MHH was also (or is) a scare production. Everything makes sense now and I know why they were so defensive about Shapes video on them. Pulling back the curtain to reveal the wizard pulling the strings on all the “haunted” activity there. 15 minutes of shame and completely debunked.

I agree with you they could have just swept it under the rug or had a simple one-on-one with the shape. The information that you have found pretty much says it all. I totally agree they could have taken everything out when beardo and the others showed up so it made them look legit. Them having backgrounds and the horrorshow industry pretty much says it all. Imo, the anger was purposefully done to cow weaker people into not questioning them. You can express anger and not flex your jaw muscles, etc. This went past defensiveness.

Also the contradiction of not associating with the debunkers toxic community, by inviting the shape and more to stay 'free' is a shout out for even more attention.. brilliant find in the fact it was actually an attraction before it was MHH speaks volumes.

Its not Shape who put me off them. Their reactions and behaviours put me off them. I was happy watching their videos until their response to Shape and the whole community. Now, wouldnt bother if they were the last channel on YT. Same as GT. Beardo didnt put me off. Their disgusting attitude did. And many of us feel the same. Its down to them, noone else.

Wow. That history of that very same address being literally a "haunted theatrical attraction" prior to being literally "rebranded" MHH, is indeed eye-opening.
Just b4 watching yr vid SEG, i rewatched the Ouija Bros visit to MHH from a few months back.
Interestingly, being as they are serious "open skeptics" themselves, they didnt experience much at all.
But in light of what you've revealed here, ...im wondering if even that could be deliberate on the part of MHH, ...ie: *tailoring* the 'experience' to the specific visitor's legit expectations(??).
So, Ste & Griff got a few knocks and bumps, some cold spots, a little device action, and a doll fell over in the room Ste was sleeping in, ...but it wasnt a very stable doll to begin with, it had no stand, just moveable plastic legs, ...so im kinda leaning towards that its fall was more about leg placement, centre of gravity, and gravity itself, than anything paranormal.
Except for their friend Martin tho, who was in the same (pentagram on floor) room Beardo was sitting in, in his later vid, ...and he heard a very similar 'burp-like' noise, as to what Beardo did, but not as loud i think.
But, ...now knowing the previous incarnation of this building was as a fully functional "theatrical" attraction, ...does strongly suggest that there just might be (remotely activated?) 'devices' already previously hidden in the walls, floors or even ceilings etc, ...to cleverly recreate at least the audible and sensory 'experiences' of a haunted hotel, ...even without any actors, and without many (?) (as perhaps more easily debunkable?) *visual* 'experiences', apart from the odd falling doll, lights and shadow figures?
Strange sounds (from literally *inside* each room), and cold 'breezes' (from hidden vents??), im thinking would be much harder to debunk than many *visual* effects, especially these days.

Wow!!! I did not know that about the psychotel set up, totally sheds a new light on the claims. I will be unsubbing from their site. I thought Shape was wrong with the window thing, but he apologised. I watched their response at the time and was a tad offended as by the whole toxic community thing, but let it slide....but the non transparency re running previous haunted attractions in the same building!!!! I'm done with them ❤
Um they do respond to the slightest call out ! They defend this hotel like a dog with a fresh bone which says a lot. The way they react to the slightest thing tells me they are hiding loads of stuff.

Correct. As I'm sure you already know it's called an ad hominem attack and it's one of the main logical fallacies. "Yeah well what do you expect from a guy who lives with his mother and collects ceramic pigs?" They can't discredit a point of view so they try to discredit the person instead. We see it, and we support you Shape and SEG.
I'm a sub of the Shapes, absolutely love him. I'm also a sub of MHH since Beardo went there. The history of the hotel interests me, and I'll be honest, I'm intrigued by it, too. However, I don't know if it's genuinely haunted or not.
I commented on MHH's response to the Shapes video and his apology. I wasn't rude, I didn't call them fakers, and all I did was give my honest, respectful opinion on their reaction to Shapes video.
They know I'm a sub of theirs and normally when I comment on any of their videos they're always "Thanks so much for watching. We're glad that you love the history of the hotel".... etc, etc.
However, their response to my very polite, respectful, honest opinion about the way they reacted and their attitude and behaviour regarding the Shapes video and apology was so full of anger, vitriol and BOLD CAPITALS that it has made me believe that .....The lads doth protest too much!!
If anyone, even their own subs question their reaction or express opinions about it, they're met with such vehemence and anger!

This is a very common pattern with these guys.
I think this was definitely needed. Perfectly said. Their response in this “said video” wasn’t as adult men, running a “hospitality” establishment should act. I have often heard the them complain about guests coming who aren’t “seasoned paranormal investigators” which is very off putting. 💕
Hey SEG, thank you for standing up against these children! Their reaction to Shape, both in his video comments, and in their "response" video said everything I needed to know about them. Shape had the cojones to pull the veil back on this lot and their needlessly aggressive response was very telling. In the crazy world of paranormal fakers on youtube I hope that you stay sane and safe brother.
If these guys were on the level they wouldn't be upset at the debunking community. In fact the debunking community would actually be an asset. It would lead not only to more views but total validation. If it were real, they'd work with every debunker, not only invite them in, but their family, their friends, their followers. It's extra publicity. Its free publicity. If you KNOW its real you'd be begging them to come in. You would be extra polite. Imagine being able to do a video, where the Shape would break down and admit you guys were honest all along and then apologize to you. Can you imagine what that would do for your channel and business? Instead they hey all defensive, and abrasive. And thats a dead give away.

Nice exposé! As for My Haunted Hotel I'll just say this: extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof... and when their "proof" can be easily debunked (as it can in many instances), that isn't extraordinary. Rather than attacking the debunking community, perhaps they should focus their efforts on providing the incontrovertible evidence that would prove their case? Just a thought.

Man, I must be living under a rock or way behind the paranormal power curb since I’ve never heard of these guys. I see why though, I could be dead wrong but they give me that “Most Haunted” tv show vibe and if that’s the case I see why I don’t know them. Even with that being said, yeah they need to toughen up, not everyone is going to think their haunted attraction is haunted, it’s the price of doing business. I don’t see Walmart doing YT videos everytime I write a review about crappy customer service or lack of checkout counters. It burns me up when these haunted location owners get all in their feelings if one don’t agree with the over the top B.S they’re pushing along with the fake paranormal investigators co-signing for them. To me that sends a “red flag”. Great video bro..👍
They would have been better off leaving it authentic Tudor style decor, not calling it "Haunted", promote it as a boutique inn and encourage paranormal investigators to come with side whispers of it being haunted. Then they'd get paranormal guests and non-paranormal guests. All they've done now is proven they're fake and rude AF...

Im so glad you did this seg When i knew that shape, had apologised for his mistake and was man enough to admit it. Thought good on you. Then this 3 video nasties came in with there attacks. Thank you again for another great video. I watched these guys one time & that was enough for me to see that they made the hotel into an attraction like a haunted house for Halloween, they need views like everyone else so why not fake paranormal.
I think it's worse they're faking because people pay good money to drive or fly out there and pay to stay a night in that Halloween 'haunted' house expecting actual hauntings plus they're making money on their YT channel,selling merch ,etc.

Even though the Shape considers himself incorrect about the "dust particle" arcing towards the wondow then moving straight down after the bang he still debunked the guy's delayed reaction to a loud bang really close to him.
I'm still skeptical that it was a dust particle and Shape is still spot on about the abnormal reaction of the man to a loud bang happening close by. A normal reaction would have been to have at the very least jumped up from being startled by the noise. This guy's response was almost catatonic before finally reacting to it.
And I'm definitely not a fan of these guys calling an entire community "toxic". Are there some toxic people in the debunking community? Absolutely just like in any other community on CZcams. That doesn't mean that all or even most of us are toxic or deserve to be painted with the same broad brush.

This was amazing and well said and answered questions I had about Brett and the location. As for that whole we had debunkers episode - yes they had THREE and that was a grab for viewers. Before they were featured on Nuke's Top 5, which is how I heard about them, they were under 10K subs, before their, debunkers come to visit, they were under 30K subs. So who is doing stuff for viewers?????? As for whining about being called boring, lmao, thousands of us watch Quija brothers who are amazing and rarely does anything happen - that is REAL paranormal and worth watching.

The amount of people I’ve seen saying they’ve unsubscribed because MHH behaviour/response speaks volumes. They could have handled it so much better. They’ve no one but themselves to blame.
Brilliant video Side Eye Guy! Now we have the actual history of the place it all suddenly makes sense. I always said it was set up like a corny ghost train attraction and clearly that’s exactly what it is.
What blew me away was MHH coming into Shape's comments and going toe to toe with people. I don't believe that was necessary for them to do that.

It was bizarre / ridiculous that many of the more vicious comments came from the Haunted Hunts.. who are, , as we know , Danny Moss and some of his paranormal chums
@@FoxyRed67 It's neither bizarre nor ridiculous when you consider that Danny and chums are simply too stupid to understand that getting angry and defensive makes them look guilty as charged. They think that righteous indignation is the most effective way of getting people on side, cause they are low IQ, NPC chancers. If their hauntings are genuine then they wouldn't react like that, and neither would they keep being debunked.

I commented on the video Shape reacted to, asking them about the speaker and using Infrasound. They ignored my question but kinda addressed it in their video. In their response video I asked about the decor. I admitted I've called it an attraction. In their video they said they decorate as an experiment to trigger occurrences. So I asked them about their baseline info for the experiment. Did they film before they decorated the rooms, to give them a baseline for their "experiment"? They ignored my question. How can they know if their "experiment" is yielding evidence if they don't have a baseline? They think they're giving smart responses but they continue to trip themselves up.
Thank you for doing the digging on them and it's obvious they are a fake attraction, just like the ghost house they where before.
As paranormal investigators, you got to be 100 percent sure that what you are stating as fact is indeed a fact.

If only they had had the foresight to call their channel "Is my hotel haunted?" Oh well, the dye is cast, they've put themselves in the impossible position of having to prove they are genuine now in every video they do. I think these guys time on You Tube has a short life span anyway and I predict they will go behind a pay wall very soon. That way the only people who will see their videos will be those who just blindly accept everything they are seeing is real, no awkward questions asked. In fact I would advise any paranormal channel that has a problem with debunkers to go do just that.

I'm happy you made this video. I personally enjoyed their show for awhile, even though I was unconvinced of their claims. I was offended by their behavior, so I unsubscribed from MHH channel. Kudos to you for not letting this go. Many people in the community wanted to drop the whole thing for some reason that I don't understand. I always stand with those who represent the truth, and behave in a respectful way. Great work, Side Eye Guy.

I want to thank you for this video. It does make one raise an eyebrow now as to the validity of their claims as why would they be so defensive like this? As you said, childish behavior, when the Shape clearly did apologize for his mistake. THAT is what a MAN does!!! I used to work at an apparently haunted hotel (but i was there 3 years and never saw a ghost) and i used to think they leaned into it abit too much especially around Halloween but they weren't anywhere near as bad as these pricks they certainly didnt make a CZcams channel calling it haunted

NO WHERE, EVER, in all the videos talking about the history of the place, do they EVER mention that Bret worked AT THE SAME LOCATION prior to MHH, as an attraction host & creator. They have not once even hinted that MHH was a horror/haunted attraction before and they have spoke BUNCHES about that buildings past. Also, whats the difference in a Tutor House & Victorian? Im not a history person and i live in the US so im not up on their countries history anyway.
@@nuckinfutz359American here with an appreciation for architecture. The difference between Tudor and Victorian is the era it was built in and the style of the building. Tudor style is characterized by the stucco and beamwork that you saw on the outside of the building shown. Victorian buildings are more ornate - think of the homes in San Francisco that were in the opening of that one 80s/90s sitcom with Bob Saget. They tended to have gingerbread framework, smaller rooms, porches on the front of the home, cornices, etc. Tudors had overhangs, beamwork that consisted of lattice or x shapes, or just straight shapes on the front of the building, and were more straightforward in their appearance. Tudor in many ways simulated the Bavarian style of architecture. The Victorian style, of course, was around during the time of Queen Victoria and thereafter. This is just a very simple explanation and I probably have some things wrong, but it's my "Americanized" quick explanation for CZcams.

I really appreciate your comments on this, especially the "debunkers are a toxic community" crap. Have there been some toxic members of this community, yes! But as you said, welcome to CZcams. That's it, in a nutshell. Seriously, if you made a video saying the sky was blue, there would be outraged commenters. If MHH wanted a channel where nobody disagreed with them, they should have logically known that's impossible and to be upset about it after the fact is a bit precious.
Well, I had not thought these guys would turn this way, but this video shows just how wrong I was. Those three did nothing but whinge and contradict themselves in their own video. I wonder how Beardo and Mr. Grey and Parrple will be reacting to this. MHH, no matter how you try to present it, IS a haunted attraction. FFS, it's in the NAME! Good video SEG, I agree with you, these guys are whiners and need to toughen up and put their big boy panties on. Endeavor to persevere!
I remember these guys getting really heated over people not wanting them to go on Lainey and Bens podcast. There's a comment chain in one of Beardo's posts which stuck with me. They dead ass invited some random commenter round and called them a keyboard warrior just because they showed a very slight level of scepticism. It was so ridiculous that it stuck with me. As you say, their idea of toxicity seems to be "this person doesn't 100% agree with everything I say". It made me realise they do tend to gravitate towards negativity. Even on their channel, I only ever saw them engaging with negative comments. It's just this negative feedback loop that in turn makes them also unlikeable. And they're falling into that trap again.
In regards to if they fake, I can't say 100% but as you point out there's a few moments which raise an eyebrow. The doll in general, the voices seem edited in. There's a scene where a chair slides across the floor and the framing and movement really looks like the typical string pull fakers use. So you have people who respond sceptical of the paranormal and they seem to take it personally. But what do they expect? You're in a field known for fakery throughout history. Yet whenever anyone questions them they react poorly and overblow it to comical levels.
I personally thought the Shapes debunk was weak. You can address that without waging war on the entire community.
Thankyou SEG, this was something that needed to be addressed as the behaviour towards Shape and the debunking community was inexcusable. Shape apologised and it should have been accepted and left at that. As always much love and respect ❤

Well pointed. You gave voice to my thoughts on the matter. I think MHH reaction to everything is a a bit (actually A LOT) defensive for someone who carries the torch of truth. If they were right, they shouldn't be worried about any sort of opinions, be good or bad. Because is what people with clean conscious do, they just carry on minding their own business, instead of worrying about what other are going to say.

Seems like they’re intentionally making an inflammtory and dramatic response, likely to increase their traffic/exposure. For a moment I considered popping onto their page to call them on their bs, then I realized that would benefit them 😅 Overall they come off as pretty gross.

I became a pretty big fan of MHH, watching their videos from the beginning and really digging what they were doing. Over time though, well before this thing with The Shape, the three guys (and especially Danny) would start responding to comments on their videos in much the same way as you see in this video... being very nasty towards people questioning them which, even if those comments were also nasty, is really not a great look and made me not want to watch them.
It's pretty obvious these guys are thin-skinned and defensive, but I hope more debunkers take them up on their offer to visit MHH... only not in pre-arranged visits like Beardo did. The Shape in particular is in a good spot to go in without being recognized and record his experience, though he may not want to since he'd likely get doxxed afterwards.
I loved this video as i do all of your videos. My favorite was each and every FACT you threw at them proving its an attraction. Each and every nail on the coffin i laughed harder and harder. Thankful they arent whiners lmao

LMAO yes! I had this argument with someone else in the past about a totally different topic. Dude was trying to claim someone had only made a video for views, and i kept saying “Yeah, everyone who makes and uploads a video on CZcams is doing it because they hope it gets views. No one is making a video and hoping no one ever watches it.”
It’s such a dumb statement to make and they act like its a big brain thought. When in reality it just shows how smooth brained they are.

Them not once mentioning that this place used to be "Psychotel", a literal horror attraction, has more red flags than Morocco. Of course, aside from their emotional maturity peaking at 10 years of age.
I'm glad you mentioned how they knew when Beardo and PSI were going and that they could have removed certain things. I am so shocked about the re-branding, that was kept quiet, I hadn't heard anyone else talk about this, but that really does open up more questions. They made out the Shape was daft for thinking there was a machine that made knocking noises, but it's not so hard to believe now. I did also notice they said they were locked in the rooms but one of them left his room and went to another, so I don't know how they were locked in the rooms.

Well said SEG! I tried watching my haunted hotel but I only got through1 season. The whole thing comes off as though its an attraction and there to make the guys $. And I thought that before I found out that one of the guys actually works in attractions! I've also seen Danny on a few tv shows, and he was always aggressive and provoking in those investigations, which I thought was disrespectful and unnecessary. People who are lying get really defensive, and these guys don't take criticism well. They do act immature when it comes to addressing criticism. So glad you made a video about this!
