Hello, I'm a Visual Arts student in high school and I am currently writing a 4,000 word essay on how the Rococo movment has influenced a fashion collection. I have to read an unhealthy amount of articles and papers and it can get exhausting and unmotivating. Perspective, and Waldemar I want to express how grateful I am for this video series. Waldemar clearly shows passion for the topic and is an amazing story teller. Waldemar, your passion is contangious and makes me excited to learn and listen to you. Thank you for giving me motivation to write my paper and placing excitment in my otherwise unflavourful research process. The video is wonderful and infromative and makes me want to write. Please continue creating videos of the same nature, the heart and soul that goes into them dosen't go unoticed. Thank you!

As a mural artist I am in awe of the Tiepolo ceiling! It's difficult enough with drivable lifts and manufactured paints! To have to relocate scaffolding and make paint also is mind blowing. It only took him a year?!!! Working above his head?!!!

I agree, Waldemar's 1400-1900's documentaries are the best of the best - the Rococo and Baroque are my all time favorites and as an artist I have learned more from watching these videos than from six years in college as an art student.

At 2:52:17. I wish Waldemar had shown one of the most arresting paintings I've ever seen. It's from Goya. It's rather obscure. It's part of the "Black Paintings" Goya had painted in the interior of his house. It's of a little dog, its head above this vast yellow space that looks like quicksand. It's the saddest, most terrifying portrayal of an animal I've ever seen. I almost cried when I saw it. To me it portrayed the emptiness of an indifferent, callous universe drowning us all, represented by a desperate, little dog. Incredibly moving is all I have to say. I need to see it in real life.

I can’t help but think that Marie’s sentiments were misconstrued in her realization of the “fake village”. It’s well known how much of a doting mother Marie was to her children. The village, as I’ve come to see it, was more realistically a humble gesture to her children, so that they may experience moments of a more wholesome, fulfilled upbringing.

I wonder how much of the rococo finery and frippery, enchanted gardens, pleasure and leisure, freedom and happiness, filtered down to the ordinary citizen? Not much I suspect. Likely in their rude and harsh lives they had hardly an inkling of the joys of that lifestyle. But then history is owned by those of wealth and power.
